Guest Mindless_Aggression Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Yeah, Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnet essentially ran a train on me the past 2 weeks. Once Garnet was done with me, Duncan got sloppy seconds and they were VERY sloppy. I...forget I said that. Yeah, basically, I got stuck with back to back weeks against all around God types.
razazteca Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 You won the Rebounds, Assist, steals and maybe the 3 pointer stats. I will win the FG, FT, Points, Blocks so it looks like another 4-4 split for me.
Guest Just J Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 I think I'll get a 6-2 or 5-3 lead after tonight. But we both have about the same playing tomorrow. Mine with Kobe, if he puts up good numbers I might squeak out another win.
Cuban Linx Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Looks like i'll end up falling just short of victory again. Alfdogg will likely increase his lead heading into tomorrow, and while Garnett should continue to cement himself as god against the Clippers, up against the demi-gods of Jermaine O'Neal and Zach Randolph it probably won't be enough. Stackhouse, Tim Thomas and Glenn Robinson's returns continuing to be pushed back a little bit all the time isn't exactly helping things either, until i can get them back i'll be stuck in good-but-not-good enough territory.
alfdogg Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Everyone go to Yahoo and offer me a trade, NOW.
Guest Mindless_Aggression Posted December 8, 2003 Report Posted December 8, 2003 So is Chris Bosh officially the steal of the Fantasy league? Baker has been damn good too but Bosh is killin people. Kaman is giving me some good stuff too, so huzzah to the rookie class of 03.
Cuban Linx Posted December 8, 2003 Report Posted December 8, 2003 So is Chris Bosh officially the steal of the Fantasy league? Baker has been damn good too but Bosh is killin people. Of course i drafted Bosh, but dropped him for Stromile fucking Swift because i needed help at Center. Boy, that sure worked out, what with Swift getting benched and Bosh putting up good numbers, later becoming center-eligible himself. If i hadn't managed to pick up Nene and Camby i'd feel like stabbing myself in the face for letting him go.
Guest Mindless_Aggression Posted December 8, 2003 Report Posted December 8, 2003 Fuckkkkk. Lost 3-4, as that was probably the closest battle I've had so far. I killed him in assists and he killed me in blocks but everything else was neck and neck and we somehow managed to tie on freethrows. Yeash.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted December 8, 2003 Report Posted December 8, 2003 Looking over Yahoo's ranking of players so far, Michael Redd has got to be the steal of the draft. 7th in the NBA, and a 4th round pick!
Cuban Linx Posted December 8, 2003 Report Posted December 8, 2003 I really wanted Michael Redd too, i knew he'd blow up big this year. I was very close to taking him in round 3, but hoped he'd last until my 4th round pick. That didn't happen, and i'm stuck with a one-legged Stackhouse instead. And i crawled back a little in my matchup, but still lose 3-5. Just 2 more blocks and 3 more 3-pointers would have given me the narrow victory, the sort of numbers i missed out on with Tim Thomas' sprained ankle. Oh well, hopefully my luck improves up against the last place team Crimson Storm.
Cartman Posted December 8, 2003 Report Posted December 8, 2003 I'd like to say Thanks to Raza for being actual competition for my "Juggernaut" team last week
razazteca Posted December 8, 2003 Report Posted December 8, 2003 What can I say other than I am an average team and master of the 4-4 week.
Guest Just J Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 I finally gained a game on cartman. Only 5 games back! Hey raz! You're next.
razazteca Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 I'm up against real competition in the West while the SHIT is playing the weak conference of the Eastern teams...
Guest Mindless_Aggression Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 THE SHIT is playing the equivalent of a weak East team? Dammit all, he is playing me this week. I...well thats really all I have to say on it all, I have nothing to back up or defend my team from being anything more than a weak Eastern Conference team. But by God, we're...eh, i got nothing.
razazteca Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 Well the past 3 weeks I have been in battle with the top teams in the league, all the while SHIT has been on a road trip with the teams that are below .500......the Magic did win this week so anything can happen.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted December 13, 2003 Report Posted December 13, 2003 Ronald Murray and PJ Brown are tradeable, and holy god do I need a center
MarvinisaLunatic Posted December 15, 2003 Author Report Posted December 15, 2003 (edited) Im going to win 7-1 and improve to 30-26, but Im going to probably lose a spot to Utah who looks to go 8-0... I proposed a trade too. Edited December 15, 2003 by MarvinisaLunatic
Cuban Linx Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 8-0 despite leaving Q-Rich's 25 points on the bench yesterday, and leaving Big Dog and Tim Thomas on the bench today. I was certain i'd set my linup for each day this week too, i have to start paying more attention to what i'm doing.
Guest Mindless_Aggression Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 Despite being considered to be a part of the weak East, I have defeated ye old S.H.I.T. 6 to 2. This victory goes out to all the Miami Heats of the world. i feel you, yo. Now it's time for the Court Jesters to hand me my fucking heart.
Cuban Linx Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 An 8-0 win against the last place team, and this week i go up against the 2nd last team, hopefully my fortunes can continue. Having Tim Thomas and Glenn Robinson back should help things as well.
razazteca Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 Looks like I will squash the Pocono Poison this week.
Guest Just J Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 This week sucked. My guys didn't play as many games as my opponent. So there wasn't shit I could do about my loss but sit by and watch, helplessly. Head to Head sucks when it comes to that.
Lightning Flik Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 Well... Hopefully the pickup will help my team out. ...... yah, right.
razazteca Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 Working really hard to be last in the league again?
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted December 17, 2003 Report Posted December 17, 2003 Looks like I will squash the Pocono Poison this week. You know, in two days I've lost both Eddy Curry and Allen Iverson to injury. So far I've got Curry, Keon Clark, and Raef LaFrentz, all centers, and all injured. Damnit.
razazteca Posted December 17, 2003 Report Posted December 17, 2003 Dump LaFrentz, he is out for the season.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted December 17, 2003 Report Posted December 17, 2003 I will. I'm just waiting for AI and Curry to officially go on the IL so I can pick up some players.
razazteca Posted December 17, 2003 Report Posted December 17, 2003 I plan on dropping Kwame Brown for a PG if the waivers go thru.
