EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 Yao Ming was a gamble compared to some of the other players on the table, Ben Wallace for example. I'm curious to see where Vince Carter lands in this draft.
alfdogg Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 I think Wallace himself is a gamble, simply because of the little offense he is going to give you. He's good for rebounds, blocks, and *maybe* a few steals here and there, but still.
Cartman Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 Well loads of Rebounds, #2 in Blocks, and 1 and a half steals per game i'll take.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 Well, I've got 13 players ranked in anticipation for my next pick.
HarleyQuinn Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 I like the selection of Wallace as he's dominant in boards, blocks & steals(somewhat) while you can get scorers at other positions.
Cartman Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 Exactly, Thanks Dawn Sorry for taking him on ya though...Payback for the NHL draft!
Guest Just J Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 After each round can there be a list of players taken?
razazteca Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 Already have a OAO draft results thread.
HarleyQuinn Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 Exactly, Thanks Dawn Sorry for taking him on ya though...Payback for the NHL draft! I wasn't in the NHL Draft though...Ya mean NFL?
Lightning Flik Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 With the 13th pick of the first round of the SmartMarks NBA Fantasy Draft, the Crimson Storm and GM Lightning Flik take: A Shooting Guard. From the Seattle Supersonics. Ray Allen. Hopefully, a good pick.
the pinjockey Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 Dawn, then alf, then Dangerous A for 2
razazteca Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 The pick is unoffcial because it is not bold
the pinjockey Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 As punishment he gets Todd MacCulloch
HarleyQuinn Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 Harley: A-Hem...with the 14th Pick in the 1st Round, The Gotham Harlequins are proud to announce that we have selected from the Phoenix Suns, SF Shawn Marion
alfdogg Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 The Alfdogg Asylum selects FC Jermaine O'Neal with Pick #15 of Round #1.
Cartman Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 Exactly, Thanks Dawn Sorry for taking him on ya though...Payback for the NHL draft! I wasn't in the NHL Draft though...Ya mean NFL? I meant NFL, my bad lol.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 5, 2003 Author Report Posted October 5, 2003 For being the #1 ranked player on Yahoo, Marion fell a bit.
razazteca Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 I don't trust the rankings, they had Shaq at #20 or something!
HarleyQuinn Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 Yeah, Yahoo's rankings are really screwed up. The guy I'm taking at #3 hopefully(If he's still there) should be a good 20 spots higher then he's ranked.
Lightning Flik Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 So now it's Dangerous A's turn and he has TWO picks. What the fuck will he do? Other than make two picks that piss everyone off. And someone picked up Jermaine O'Neill, my second pick. Bastards.
HarleyQuinn Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 Started somewhat quickly this morning...oh well
Lightning Flik Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 And we sorta died out... Cause we are waiting on DA.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 ok I have a question. we lose points for foul-related stuff, but why do points matter if you win by categories and not total points?
Lightning Flik Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 ok I have a question. we lose points for foul-related stuff, but why do points matter if you win by categories and not total points? In Head2Head, whichever team collects the most points for the week, wins.
Lightning Flik Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 HOLY SHIT~! DANGEROUS A IS HERE~! HE'S GOING TO MAKE HIS TWO PICKS~! Ssshhh... Don't need to scare him away now

Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 In Head2Head, whichever team collects the most points for the week, wins. are you sure about this? cuz I'm going to go cut and paste from the yahoo rules: "A new weekly matchup begins every Monday and will consist of a set number of games based on your league's statistical categories. Each stat category counts as one game, with the win going to the team that finishes the week with the highest total in that category (the cumulative total after each Sunday's games). So, if in a given week, your team compiles more assists than your opponent's, you would be credited with a victory. However, if your opponent's team ended the week with more rebounds than your team, you would be charged with a loss. If the two teams end up tied in a given category, each will receive credit for a tied game. This weekly win-loss total will be added to a cumulative season record, which will be used to determine standings and playoff seedings." I think it might count those foul things as thier own category, in which case we should probably ditch them. ps - nice picks A.
Dangerous A Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 Sorry lightning, I know my shit. Also, apologies for not being here sooner. I was at the sports bar watching my Redskins lose a barn burner.
