BloodBath - The Steel Cage DVD gets a name

Recommended Posts

Yeah I was there when Jericho made Edge his bitch. I was in the second row on the corner where he was wailing on Edge. Me and my friends were the only ones cheering him though....we were surrounded by angry drunken redneck Edgeheads.

How much cash is the WWE forcing tape traders to lose? Between this and the Flair DVD, these are matches many persue through tape trading.

You know they only put the HBK/Jannetty match there because it's a valued match in the Tape trade community...it's pretty much a fuck you to them.

So what's the rarest important WWE owned match left now?

benoit vs. angle wasn't very long IIRC, how can it be clipped?

12 minutes I believe...I guess they figured it was recent enough the fans remember...

Not really sure, but I suppose the Harts-Steiners match is in the top 10.

Love to see the Flair-Bret Ironman match show up as a WWE "George & Adam Fan Cam exclusive"

The Flair DVD would have been a great place to put the ironman with Bret, but if they ever put that on DVD, I will pay ANY amount of money to see it in that gorgeous quality. The fact that I enjoyed it so much in that shitty copy of a copy of a copy... etc jumpy shaky fancam means I'll most likely blow my load over a DVD quality.

IF that Bret DVD ever gets made I'm sure either the Owen or Flair ironman WON'T be on it...why? Cause it proves HBK/Bret wasn't the first, WWE cannot accept that.

The RAREST possible, reasonably big, matches for traders are the HBK/Jannetty title change where HBK won it back and Disel debuted. The Flair/Savage title change where Razor debuted and Flair won the belt. And flair/Sting from Jan.91 where Flair won the belt back.

Actually, using the Hogan DVD as a precedent I would say it's still possible. They included Hogan vs. Andre from Shea in 1980 which goes against the WWF's line of Wrestlemania III being their first meeting, first time Giant was beaten, blah blah blah. So I think the DVD depratment just does what they want.

The Owen ironman was awful, I hope it's not on it. Nothing happened for about the first 50 minutes. Even the people filming were going "Man when are they going to do something!"

The first 25 mins was nothing but stalling and resting but the next 40 were GOLD.

I think it's because it's a fancam, and the footage is not worthy of being on a DVD release from a quality-control standpoint. I'd love to have the match on there because it's awesomely awesome, but it doesn't have the footage quality WWE would like.

And, it shows people can get away with taping their house shows, which is a big no-no. The only time they'd show a fancam is to advance an angle (i.e. the MSG Clique incident).

how did they go about getting that footage anyways? did they find the guy and paid for the footage or something or just got it via tap trades like normal folk...
