2019 SFBL AMATEUR DRAFT

The first three picks of the draft were all first basemen, a very weird start to this year's amateur draft.

Christian Fury was the first of the first basemen to get picked, as he was drafted as the number one overall pick by the Boston Tea Baggers.

It didn't take long for the other TSM player to get drafted as well, as "The Methadone Man" Charlie Simmons was picked as the sixth overall pick by the Oklahoma Twisters, and the first pitcher to be drafted in the draft.

I'm already looking for my player's picture to put on the Player Page, but if Fury wants to come up with one, he is certainly welcome to.

Spring Training

It's that time again. For those of you that don't know, Spring Training is the time when any player in the SFBL can improve, if they distribute their points right.

You start with 20 points, divided evenly at the start among four categories.

Batters:

Contact Hitting

Power Hitting

Strike Zone Judgment

Defense

Pitchers:

Pure Stuff

Pitching Velocity

Pitching Control

Stamina

From there, you can take away points from one category and put it in another, as long as you distribute all twenty points by the end of your reorganization. The other option is, of course, to take five points from all four categories (or from one), and put it towards learning a new position. There is no guarantee that you will learn the position, however, so choose how to distribute your points wisely.

Well, given his ugly, ugly season and mediocre playoff preformance, I'm wondering if I shouldn't have Nigel switch to closer. What's your take, Duran?

I'd give it another year, if it's a bad season this year, then you should move to the closer position. Right now, it'd be jumping the gun on what could have just been an "off" year.

Eh, might as well try to do this for what had better be Gonzo's last season.

Pure Stuff - 4

Pitching Velocity - 10

Pitching Control - 1

Stamina - 5

Can't have him be known as 'Beanball' with semi-decent control...

And if I could remember what you said 'Pure Stuff' was Evo, I might have given that some more, but meh.

Well, GG is a Harlot...wacky.

Ruleage on being the first overall pick! (Thrashes)

As Fury's agent, we hope to be able to give the Boston fans what they want to see, and bring home an eventual winning season and, of course, the National Championship.

As for the picture, yeah... I'll see if I can't find something coming up here.

Spring Training... Hmm...

Contact Hitting - 2

Power Hitting - 5

Strike Zone Judgment - 5

Defense - 3

Also want to try and pick up third base as a secondary position, just for a little versatility.

Alright, no change to closer for McClain this year. Here's the spring training thing:

Pitching Velocity - 2

Pitching Control - 5

For Paco's picture, I would like Nomah in his Cubs uni.

Also, will Paco get playing time in New Orleans?

Yes, Paco will be batting eighth against right handed pitchers, and will be batting leadoff against left handed pitchers.

Christian Fury now plays third base.

Well... Guess I can't complain too loudly. Now the Tea Baggers have a guy good on both corners of the infield.

Wish I would've picked up a little more pop in the bat, or a better feel for the strike zone, but...

At least he made it through Spring Training in one piece!

At first I was upset that Atlanta lost, then I remembered I don't play for them any more. Yay Charlotte.

Actually, I cannot in good faith type that. I've lived and died with each of Atlanta's failing seasons.

Blork.

Congratulations to the Vancouver Vasectomy on winning the 2019 SFBL Cup!

Oh, and just for the record, the SFBL Cup is an exhibition before the season actually begins. None of these stats that players accumulated in the SFBL Cup will go towards your final season stats.

The real season will start sometime within the next day or two. If you'd like a trade, speak now or be stuck with that team for the first month of the season.

Fifth and first in the lineup?

That's kinda bizarre. I've heard of being taken out of the lineup dependant on the handedness of the opposing pitcher, but...

Playing power ball against righties, and then playing to get on-base against lefties?

So weird.
