As far the Gowen hate, wish death upon him since you don't like him. I won't pass any judgement on the PPV until I see it. It seems however from different opinions I've read some matches are being overrated i.e. Brock/Taker. I definitely wanna check out Benoit/Train because they both entertain me and I wanna see how Train handled possibly hurting Benoit. (1.0): I hate to give this a 1.0, because there was at least one match that I thought was good, and that was the Angle vs. Cena match, but the bad tonight outweighed the good by far too much. The rest of the PPV, I thought was very very lame. Well, maybe not only one, but with the exception of Tajiri vs. Mysterio and Cena vs. Angle, the rest of the show wasn't good at all. Normally, when Benoit and Guerrero are on the PPV, you're guaranteed at least two good matches, and tonight, we barley even got that. They made Guerrero job to Big Show and stuck Benoit with the failure, A-Train. After the Guerrero match, I was like, "Hey maybe this means that Guerrero will get a World Title push now." After I said that, Eddie and Chavo were arguing so it looks like WWE is going to start an Eddie-Chavo feud. Add Guerrero to the latest list of talent WWE can't book right, even though he is over huge and will still be the WWE's latest lost opportunity. The Tajiri vs. Mysterio match was a good match, but I mean come on, these are supposed to be cruiserweights. Shouldn't they be doing more high-flying stuff like NWA-TNA's X-Division? This is the worst 35 bucks I've ever sent on a WWE PPV, and I will assure you, I won't be buying a WWE show again anytime soon. Thank god for ROH, TNA, and MLW. Without those, I think I'd go insane. WWE seriously needs to straighten themselves out ASAP. If Paul Heyman was watching tonight, he's pulling the hair out of his head, well, the hair that he has left anyway. He can't have that much hair left if he's been watching WWE for the past few months. I think he is one of the worst color analysts in history, and like Angle and Lesnar's matches, I feel that he is very overrated. All he does is sit down there and act like a coach and it really annoys me. He needs to learn how to do it and remain in a heel like fashion like Jesse Ventura used to. I don't see how anyone can criticize Jerry Lawler when comparing him to Tazz. Lawler throws in his one liners, he can pronounce words correctly, and gives some advice while commentating, but it's not the main part of his act like it is Tazz's Surely shome mishtake? I can't believe someone thinks Lawler is a better colour commentator than Tazz, especially currently. Why does he need to act like Ventura? (Lawler's not exactly overly heelish, now is he?) What exactly is the problem with Tazz? That he calls moves correctly (does Lawler even call them at all anymore?), or that he puts over good wrestling, as opposed to the sight of cleavage, as the main attraction? As for pronouncing words correctly...pfff...I mark out for "JOY-MAN!" anyways. I didn't think the PPV was as good as Mania or Vengeance, but it was one of the more enjoyable in recent memory. Sagged a bit in the middle, but the crowd helped a LOT. Tajiri-Rey ***1/4, really good up till the end, I would have rather had some of that Black Mist than a run-in. Good commentating here, putting over that cruiserweights don't have to be aerial all the time. Benoit-A Train **3/4, I really am getting to like A-Train over the last year, his moveset is pretty funky. Horrible landing for Benoit, I was wincing at the replay. Would have got *** if it wasn't for Benoit faffing about with the sharpshooter (which was otherwise cool.) Hardy/Gowen *3/4, I like Hardy AND (God help me) Gowen in the ring, but I was just not getting much out of this. APA/Bashams *1/4, just really, really bored me. I don't mind the Bashams but I just couldn't care less about the APA, and Shaniqua will need more than a boob job to become even vaguely attractive. 1/4* for the cool Last Call off the 'buckle. Vince/Stephanie *1/2 for the heat that Vince (God love him) somehow gets off a crowd, and the booking which was adequate. Well placed in the show, aswell. Angle/Cena ****, absolutely incredible heat and I 100% bought the near fall with Angle's medal. Good action and pacing and a clean finish with both guys leaving looking good. MOTN. Eddy/ Big Show **1/4, enjoyable brawl, told a clear, concise story... couldn't have asked for much better - hopefully Eddie comes off this well and can keep his heat - shouldn't be a problem for my man latino heat! 'Taker/Lesnar ***1/2, I was soooo into this until the run-ins at the end, the spots were great, the match really hung together nicely, Taker was sweeeet and I always love Brock's bumping. Would have given it around ****1/4 if not for the run-ins, which really FUCKED ME OFF, and the pointless near falls which I was never going to buy. The chain should have come down a little earlierfor some choking action, and they should have taken a single shot with the chain before each nearfall. Still, can't complain! Fun match, given enough time and had a run-in which might actually lead to something. So far so good. Benoit vs. Train. OK match, even though Train got blown up and dropped Benoit on his head. Benoit was put over strong and the sharpshooter was a very nice touch. Now it all went wrong. Matt vs. Gowan. OK. I respect Gowan, but c'mon! The match was exactly the same as every Gowan match (bleh) and the finish? ugh. APA vs. Bashams. Guess what? Shite. Shaniqua's promo was utterly horrible and this whole thing is a massive waste of Doug. Vince vs. Steph. They stuck to what they are "good" at, I suppose. Went a bit too long and the finish was bad. Shouldn't the total lack of heat for Linda indicate to Vinnie that nobody cares about her? Angle vs. Cena. Average...at best. Angle is just so goofy. One minute dead-the next running up the ropes and trying a belly-to-belly. I dunno, if it's fair of me to rate this as Cena's "I don't have a clue what to do next so I will stick on this hold to kill time" headlock nearly put me to sleep. Match had a bad first half, decent second half. Eddy vs. Show. Yeah! Give the Big Show (who looked fatter than ever) Eddy's belt. Great! Match was bad. Lesnar vs. Taker. WOW! That's how you book a monster heel. Match was nothing. Same match they always have. Why the fuck was Taker trying cradles etc. early on? Why was he trying to get a pinfall before the chain had come into play? I thought that was the point. You know, to get the chain? Then there was the ridiculous lights out situation and the FBI run in (neither of which made sense and nobody attempted to explain them) just so Taker could look strong before he jobbed.
