Interviews with morons

Recommended Posts

Guest Dave O'Neill, Journalist

Here are two 'net interviews with two people who dont deserve WWE jobs, and why they dont.

Buff Bagwell

- Buff talked about the death of Road Warrior Hawk. "I've been with him a bunch with the Ted DiBiase stuff. I just saw him the other day. You know, it's like a curse man. It's the damndest thing I've seen. It's unreal. A guy's gone that shouldn't be gone." He talked about the last chruch show they did where 600 people got saved. He said that 20-30 people to be saved is considered unreal. Hawk was in a skit where he was chained up and demons came out. Buff said that Hawk did it so well, and he went from that to dying and Buff said that it has blown him away.

- He talked to WWE a couple of weeks ago, and they gave him a figure nowhere near what he could afford. "I told Vince, don't get mad at this. I can't live on that. The figure I'd give you, you would say gosh I'm crazy. It's a figure that I'm used to living on. These kids don't know that 100 grand is not that much money with their road. I mean taxes, and training, and tanning, eating right, limos, rent-a-cars, on the road all the time. Then you come home with chump change and you shoot yourself in the meanwhile. You're breaking even and breaking your back. They got the kids up there that just want to be on TV, you know like TNA. There are guys in TNA that don't even get paid. Being a star on TV ain't what it's about, it's about paying my bills and living. I'm Mark Bagwell, I know the difference between Buff and Mark and a lot of guys don't." Buff said that in order to look the way wrestlers like him look, it costs $100 a day on the road when you're careful. That's with doing things such as craming guys in cars and hotel rooms.

- They talked about wrestling's decline in business. Buff said that if Vince could, he would buy a wrestling company just to compete with his, but because of the internet things like that wouldn't work anymore. Buff said that bringing back the big names doesn't make much impact when there is no competition. He talked about how every match needs a person coming out who is a star and the fans shouldn't be saying "who is that?" at the person that comes out.

- Buff discussed the Vince/Stephanie match. "If all they would have done was show vignettes, I would have bought it and been so excited. But they showed them too much. And you realize this isn't going to be a good match."

- Buff talked about Smackdown and how a few weeks ago he saw three of the best matches he had ever seen. He brought up again how most of the guys involved got no reaction, and the crowd only popped because the match was unreal. "Fans would say that was a hell of a match, now who were those guys? Now if they knew those guys and that match, you'd be talking money." Buff said that RAW is more like how Nitro was, while the guys on Smackdown work their butts off more.

- Buff said that Scott Steiner was never a babyface. "In the ring, he wants to be a killer. And he is a killer. He looks like a killer. Make him a killer." He talked about the Steiner and Test feud. "I'll get heat for this, but what has Test ever done? Work-wise great. Looks great. But when he walks out, do people pop?" Buff said that Goldberg can work, but his matches haven't been that good because he isn't used to working with the guys in WWE. He said a match between Goldberg and Steiner would be really good because they have worked together before.

- They talked about some of the wrestlers that could become big stars. Buff said that Batista has the look, but he thinks that Randy Orton is too thin. "They want to see a freak come out and have a hell of a match." Buff feels like WWE is forcing things that they know aren't going to work.

- Buff talked about he is keeping busy and how he is booked with indy shows through May. He talked about some of his upcoming dates. His website is down right now, but we'll get some more information on his schedule.

- Other topics were discussed such as wrestlers being green, getting non-fans interested in wrestling, what needs to be done to make new stars, people not wanting to pay for wrestling, wrestlers who are over that aren't being pushed, wrestlers not being ready for television, and much more! The entire interview runs 60+ minutes and gives you a look at the wrestling business from an insider's perspective!

Greedy Bastard

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Big Vito

-- Vito gives TII hosts James Walsh and Daniel Edler a schooling on interview technique before the interview.

-- He was a wrestling fan whilst growing up. After his wrestling training, he went on tour to places such as Japan and Puerto Rico.

-- Tazz was a big part of helping Vito break into ECW as they broke into the business together, when Vito wrestled as Skull. When he left ECW, Heyman owed him nothing monetarily.

-- In regards to his match in ECW with Rob Van Dam, he feels that it was a strange situation for Rob being that he had a split crowd - half cheering for RVD and half for Vito. He enjoyed the match though, and hung in there even though Rob got the pinfall.

-- He really enjoyed working with Johnny the Bull as the Mamalukes, and whilst they now wrestle very different schedules, they still keep in touch and wish to reunite the team at some point.

-- Vito then discusses the comedy segments they did, and gives his feelings on why he felt himself and Johnny were so over.

-- Vince Russo called Vito up and offered him the Big Vito character. Vito told Heyman about the offer, and Heyman was glad he’d gotten a break.

-- When the topic of the Italian Stretcher match against David Flair and Crowbar was brought up, Vito said his main memory of that match was going through a table onto Crowbar.

-- His first title defence on a Pay Per View was against Ralphus and Norman Smiley. He said even though Ralphus wasn’t a wrestler, he felt it was a good match and would love to do it again.

-- Losing the Hardcore title to Lance Storm, Vito’s main point from the whole issue was that Storm was awful at cards. And apparently Sting is the best poker player.

-- When Buff Bagwell complained about having to lose to Vito, the whole ordeal was blown out of proportion as it was simply a storyline problem Buff had - infact, Buff and Vito travelled together watching DVD’s on Bagwell’s personal travel DVD player.

-- The problem with the XWF was that they did tapings with people who weren’t under contract. Hogan, Lawler, Hennig and others left, leaving few people who were in the tapings for future shows.

-- He hasn’t got much to say about TNA except he knows his buddy Vince Russo works there, and he wishes them well.

-- At the moment Vito is working on the international scene mainly in Japan, and if you want to book Vito for your show drop one of the host’s a line for more information.

-- He feels that how he isn’t a part of the WWE is the “biggest mystery in wrestling” today.

-- We then do word associations on names such as Johnny “The Bull” Stamboli, Vince Russo, Rob Van Dam, Vince McMahon & many more.

-- For more information on Vito you can head over to www.bigvito.com.

-- We then head into the recap where we go nearly an hour discussing topics like No Mercy and many more!

Yeah, sure Vito

He thought he was going to be excited and that it was going to be a good match at first?!!

Amen.

He talked about the Steiner and Test feud. "I'll get heat for this, but what has Test ever done?

AHAHAHAHAHAHA! GOLD!

WWE never bothered contacting Big Vito. Personally, I'd love to see him get signed and join the FBI.

Cause some things you just can't live without. And I'm sure the steroids he takes helps ease working out and eating right.

Buff said that Batista has the look, but he thinks that Randy Orton is too thin. "They want to see a freak come out and have a hell of a match."

I'm surprised he didn't suggest that Orton get implants to fill himself out.

And Bagwell, you were no freak, nor were you capable of having a hell of a match.

You have to be kidding.

That match when he punched the ring crew guy in the neck was at least ***. I mean, it really put Buff over and showed that he ain't going to take shit from ANYBODY - unless they have a water bottle in their hand.

But then, following the Buff/Ring Guy match, there was one even better. The Cops/Buff was a ***** classic. It showed that, as big and bad a heel that Buff may be, he will earn his comeuppance in the end. To see Buff taken out in handcuffs riled the crowd up and really turned business around for WCW.

If there was ANYBODY that was capable of having a hell of a match, it was the one and only "American Male" Buff Bagwell. I guess I'm the only one here who has the guts to give props to Buff and Judy, the Golden Couple of Wrestling.

Ridiculous. So basically he's saying that he needs more money so he can blow it on crap. I'm sure if you tried (and there's propably many wrestlers that effecively do) you can save your money on your traveling expenses.

No, the WWE was just being unfairly stingy with their pocketbooks.

I mean, the contract they were offering wasn't nearly enough to keep Buff in new DVDs for his personal travel DVD player!

I'm sorry, but I would LOVE to see that on the next episode of RAW.

Buff Bagwell: "Vince, I'm telling you, $100k a year is just obscene for a man of my many, many, many talents. I mean, there are a lot of expenditures that are simply part of being a wrestler; those ivory backscratchers don't come cheap, Vince. And you can't use them more than once, that's the rule. No, no I'm not making that up. I don't know who MADE the rule Vince, but that is the rule. Yeah, and limo's need CHAUFFEURS, Vince. Yeah, but it's all useful stuff, stuff I NEED as a wrestler, just to maintain this physique. I'd need at least...$8 million a year just to break even. Yeah, you give me that as a starting point and I'll considering letting the fans see what STUFF the BUFF is made of. Hello? H-Hello?"

:bonk:

They don't know that 100 grand is not that much because they're not getting paid 100 grand.

Why do we listen to a guy who had CALF IMPLANTS?!

I like how in one interview, Buff is talking about how much money he needs to cover necessary expenses, and then in the next interview, Vito is talking about watching DVDs on Buff's portable DVD player.

It might not be what Buff was offered, but $100k really isn't a big deal.
