EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 By the way, this is why Iverson doesn't practice.
Guest Redhawk Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 Between ESPN and the NBA, LeBron has no choice but to be THE next superstar, no matter how good/bad he ends up being. They've really booked themselves into a corner, so to say, kind of like if WWE gave Brock Lesnar the Monster Push of all Monster Pushes and he ends up getting hurt or something. I wonder what will happen if LeBron just ends up being average. Not great, not bad, but just your normal 10-5-2 starting small forward. It won't happen, but that'd be funny to see how ESPN/NBA would market him.

EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 They'd just stop putting him at the forefront, and people would assume that since they haven't heard otherwise, he must be doing well.
razazteca Posted November 1, 2003 Report Posted November 1, 2003 Kmart was injured in the game and was taken to the hospital.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted November 1, 2003 Report Posted November 1, 2003 The Timberpups barely score 60 pts (61).
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted November 1, 2003 Report Posted November 1, 2003 Iverson is playing despite the strained shoulder. That sucker is the toughest little bastard in the NBA.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted November 1, 2003 Report Posted November 1, 2003 a stone cold steve austin hammerlock? Huh?
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted November 1, 2003 Report Posted November 1, 2003 Quick, somebody send it to the Torch!
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted November 1, 2003 Report Posted November 1, 2003 Forgive me for saying this, but Bill Walton is having a better season in the booth than Tom Tolbert.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted November 1, 2003 Report Posted November 1, 2003 Rashard Lewis got 50 pts in the game over in Japan..
Mr. S£im Citrus Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 How long has Tony Schiavone been calling Hawks games?
razazteca Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 How is it? Is it worst than Joe Piscopo who does the Nets games? "Jason KiIDD!"
razazteca Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 Oh no looks like Tim Duncan has an ankle injury but it does not look serious.
Guest Just J Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 How long has Tony Schiavone been calling Hawks games? I think this is his first year. And Garnett got ejected last night. Tonight we have Kobe's second game of the season, oh god.
Vern Gagne Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 The NBA is absolutley dreadful right know. No teams can score, and no teams can shoot the ball. Hopefully this is just early season rust, and the level of play improves.
razazteca Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 Well it does not help when 3 of the best players of the team is injuried and the bench is full of new players. I just hope the Spurs can find a way to win, losing to the Nuggets and Grizzlies is just sad.
Vern Gagne Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 Raz. Remember the Spurs are slow starters. That and they have alot of new players so it will take time to gel.
razazteca Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 I know and I have seen that the 3 big free agents are starting to produce now but averaging 80 points a game is not going to get them anywhere.
Vern Gagne Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 The Wolves are even worse in terms of scoring. How pathetic are the Bulls. This was a team many thought would take the next step, and at least contend for a playoff spot this year. I was one of them. They have the talent, and they've played like absolute dogs so far. Is it time to give Bill Cartwright is walking papers.
razazteca Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 Other than Curry who is good on the Bulls?
razazteca Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 Tim Duncan out for 3 weeks with the injury from the Memphis game.
Vern Gagne Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 Other than Curry who is good on the Bulls? Jalen Rose, Donyell Marshall are solid veteran players. But the younger talent like Chandler, and Crawford where supposed to elevate their games this year. So far that hasn't been the case.
Tony149 Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 I know and I have seen that the 3 big free agents are starting to produce now but averaging 80 points a game is not going to get them anywhere. True. However, the Spurs have always been built on defense. Last year's NBA finals was a perfect example; the games were ugly as fuck, but those are the type of games the Spurs are good at. They're like a python: they wrap themselves around you and squeeze the life outta you. It sucks Duncan will be out 1-3 weeks but if you're going to get hurt (you never want that to happen) might as well do it at the start of the season so you can return before the playoffs, and we're a LONG way from that. Plus, Pop is damn good at making sure he doesn't rush anybody back, he knows its still early. The Spurs announcers have hammered this point home a lot recently, but it's true: championships aren't won in the first week. The way the West is loaded with all these superpowers, as long as you have a playoff spot you have a chance to win it all. And there are going to be at least 4 great teams who will have to get it on with each other in the first round to advance.

I know it sucks knowing the Lakers will walk away with the title, but the season is looking great, so far.

I seriously have the Golden State Warriors higher in my list of potential champs than the Lakers. LA's just not winning this year.

razazteca Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 Bah the crippled Spurs will beat the Lakers on Saturday.
