Tony149 Posted November 10, 2003 Report Posted November 10, 2003 I could of sworn Isiah Thomas broadcasted the Blazer/Cavs game on NBA TV the first week of the season. It sounded like him. And Raza might like to know Parker will probably play Monday against the Jazz - Duncan may as well. It'll also be David Robinson jersey retirement night.
alfdogg Posted November 11, 2003 Report Posted November 11, 2003 According to Nelson, Finley ain't going nowhere.
alfdogg Posted November 11, 2003 Report Posted November 11, 2003 The Lakers are about to lose to Memphis...they're down 12 with 55 seconds to go.
razazteca Posted November 11, 2003 Report Posted November 11, 2003 Fox Sports Net is showing the David Robinson number 50 retirement.
alfdogg Posted November 11, 2003 Report Posted November 11, 2003 Not on my TV... Players of the week were Ron Artest (~!) and Andrei Kirilenko.
razazteca Posted November 11, 2003 Report Posted November 11, 2003 Southwest Sports net! I guess its only for those who watched the Spurs game. Gov. Perry showed up to give Robinson a special award.
alfdogg Posted November 11, 2003 Report Posted November 11, 2003 Come on, Midwest is close enough! Show it, fags. I don't want to watch highlights from the football games that you stole from ESPN. I had to sit through Ewing's...why can't I see Robinson's?
razazteca Posted November 11, 2003 Report Posted November 11, 2003 Well it's people from the city saying thank you to Mr. Robinson, such as his pastor, the gov., some teammates. And presentation of some gifts like honorary awards and paintings. Sean Elliot is the MC. David Robinson gets theme music from Tina Turner "Simply the Best"
Guest NCJ Posted November 11, 2003 Report Posted November 11, 2003 If LeBron James remains injury free and continues to improve he will be rookie of the year without a doubt. The Cav's as a team are improving. They are playing better team defense under Silas and have had only one really bad loss. That was against the Nuggets. The have atleast been competitive in most games.
Kurt Angle Mark Posted November 12, 2003 Report Posted November 12, 2003 Clippers win again 115-103 against the Hawks to go to 2-2 Quentin Richardson had 32 points and 16 rebounds, both career highs. Maggette added 21 and Chris Wilcox added 19 starting in place of Elton Brand. Congrats to Dunleavy on his 400th career win.
Guest Redhawk Posted November 12, 2003 Report Posted November 12, 2003 While Ray Allen is out with an injury, Flip Murray has averaged 24 ppg in his place. Tonight he scored 29 and hit the game-winning shot to beat Minnesota on the road. Do we have a SG controversy in Seattle? (Ironically, Murray was one of the "other guys" in the Ray Allen - Gary Payton trade.)
MrRant Posted November 12, 2003 Report Posted November 12, 2003 Probably not. It will turn into a small forward issue more than likely. I see it as Brent as PG, Murray/Allen at SG, Murray/Allen/Lewis at SF, Lewis playing undersized PF/Evans and then whoever you want at center.
MrRant Posted November 12, 2003 Report Posted November 12, 2003 You keep your 3 20 pt a nighters on the floor as much as possible.
alfdogg Posted November 12, 2003 Report Posted November 12, 2003 Dunleavy just NOW has 400 wins???? And he's been coaching HOW long?
razazteca Posted November 12, 2003 Report Posted November 12, 2003 Dunleavy, in his 11th season as an NBA coach and first with the Clippers, became the 30th coach in league history to reach the 400-victory plateau. He's the sixth active coach with 400 wins. Yahoo Sports.com
Guest FrigidSoul Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 Scottie Pippen gets alot of calls in his favor. He slides about and gets away with blocking(they call a charge on the other person while Pippen's feet are still moving) and he's flopping about now. I'm wondering if he went to Reggie Miller's Summer BasketBall Camp this year
razazteca Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 Spurs beat the Nets in another low scoring game, next stop Philly.
MrRant Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 Sonics beat the Bucks 104-99. Flip Murray had 20 and Lewis had 31 pts.
alfdogg Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 Well, the Pacers loss to Boston looks even more embarassing now, considering Boston went and lost at HOME to the BULLS last night...
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 You know you're watching Larry Brown coach when the Pistons score 85 pts in an overtime game.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 Well, the Pacers loss to Boston looks even more embarassing now, considering Boston went and lost at HOME to the BULLS last night... yes, but alot of that was due to Pippen getting quite a bit of "Well, you're going to the Hall of Fame so why not" calls. If you can somehow see it, watch the recast of the game.
Mr. S£im Citrus Posted November 14, 2003 Report Posted November 14, 2003 Was I imagining things, or did Jamal Crawford take a Vertebreaker in the T'Wolves game? @ my Kings blowing a 24-pt lead. Blazers played their asses off, though.
alfdogg Posted November 14, 2003 Report Posted November 14, 2003 Yep, Jamal landed right on his head last night and was taken out via stretcher in a neckbrace.
razazteca Posted November 14, 2003 Report Posted November 14, 2003 The mission for the Spurs tonight is to keep Allen Iverson to 20 points and keep him off the FT line.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted November 15, 2003 Report Posted November 15, 2003 Associated Press EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- New York Knicks center Dikembe Mutombo left with a groin injury during the first quarter of the Knicks' game with the New Jersey Nets on Friday night. Mutombo Mutombo, who played for the Nets last season, played four minutes before walking off the court. He had two points and two fouls, including one for pushing off on the opening tipoff. Mutombo was being treated in the locker room before the game for a groin problem. The center, who had played in seven games before Friday night, was averaging 6.0 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.7 blocks a game. Are you kidding me?
Guest Flyboy Posted November 15, 2003 Report Posted November 15, 2003 Was I imagining things, or did Jamal Crawford take a Vertebreaker in the T'Wolves game? Yeah, I saw that this morning. Made me cringe.
