Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2003 - Everybody hates Zach Gowen. The wrestlers who used to defend him don't anymore. People say his ego grew out of control after being on TV with Vince and Hogan. He was supposed to go to Louisville recently for some practice sessions, but he no-showed without giving any reason and he was reprimanded for it. He doesn't seem to think he needs to get any better, and that plus his attitude has led to most of the locker room shunning him. Why am I not surprised to read this? The finish of his PPV match with Matt Hardy wasn't widely known beforehand, so when wrestlers saw him win they were like "noooooo". But the win wasn't a vote of confidence in Zach by management. The loss for Matt is being called a vital part of a storyline that's starting for him, but people don't see it leading to any increased push for Zach. I hope this is true as Matt jobbing was truly a slap in his face from WWE. There's already talk that they won't even renew Zach's contract when it runs out, since it's clear that he's not dedicated to becoming a better wrestler, he's got a big ego problem, and he's been a disappointment in terms of crowd support. YES! - Almost everybody hates Shaniqua. Damn... - Not everyone but some people hate Randy Orton. Well, they don't hate him. But they don't like him. They think he's has this insincere humble attitude, like he acts nice because he knows he's supposed to since he hasn't been around long. There have been several fan reports of Orton doing things like shunning autograph seeking fans outside shows, which could just be Randy being old school and not breaking kayfabe, but most heels these days will break character to be nice to the ticket buyers. The people who don't trust Randy suspect that he's one big push away from being a major headache. They might as well hate Jericho too. He shuns autograph seeking fans outside shows all the time. And since he's done it at SS and the 2 RAW shows I've been to this year, I still like him. - Big Show's improvement this year has gotten him back the respect of the boyz who thought he was a fat lazy bum. Now he's just a fat bum. - At the October 6th house show, Matt Hardy (w/Shannon Moore) was to have a match against Sean O'Haire. The match kept getting pushed back in the show because O'Haire hadn't shown up yet, and then it was canceled once it was time for the main event. The agents were under the impression that Sean was on his way to the building, but he wasn't. O'Haire said he didn't know he'd been booked for the show, even though the card and advertising and stuff had his name on it. Can't say I blame him. The last time I saw him was on Velocity where he beat Orlando Jones. Previous to that, I haven't seen him at all in WEEKS! - The Nov. 30th PPV is off due to Hogan's "knee injury". That's in quotes to suggest that it is not legitimate. The two schools of thought are that the knee injury is a total lie, or that Hogan does need surgery but could have put it off until well past the PPV. Having the surgery now lets him save face by delaying the PPV that almost surely would have been a failure with the last second nature of it. Believe the lie... I wonder who is "everybody" that hates Zack & Shaniqua? Pretty much all the fans. Chris Nowinski may have to retire because of his concussion syndrome. I will forever weep if Chris Nowinski has to retire. Forever. The Orton shunning people story doesn't make much sense to me. Me too. I hope he comes back as a manager though. The man is excellent at drawing heat from the crowds. When I met Orton he was one of those guys that signed for everyone and made sure everyone who wanted something signed got it Nah, he blew us off in Phoenix and Tucson although he did wave. Shaniqua...a hot cup of mocha? She's a man! Have you seen her in casual clothes? Her wrestling outfit / make-up uglifies her. I met after the SD show in El Paso and she was HOT! Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2003 But her promos suck, and that's the first problem a lot of ladies run into. The BE promo had me in tears laughing not only because they were making a very stupid excuse to an already juvenile subject, but her bad acting was making it even funnier. The finish of his PPV match with Matt Hardy wasn't widely known beforehand, so when wrestlers saw him win they were like "noooooo". And if this is the kind of English that winds up in the Torch, I know why Meltzer has so many subscribers.

Guest Dynamite Kido Report post Posted October 25, 2003 3) Is an OVW-produced (i.e. subpar) worker. You have no clue how long I have been waiting for someone to say this. I agree totally. Not to say that OVW guys could NEVER work. Paul London is definately proof of that, but the OVW/WWE style is very poor to say the least.
haVoc 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2003 Brock and Kurt get along real well, but it seems to be more of a business friendship than them being best buddies. Brock is still rambunctious and Angle is a total company pro who hangs out with Vince most of the time these days. So, what does rambunctios mean in the locker room? Young, wild and hangs with the boys still while Angle is a McMahon puppet? I'm going to laugh when the reports come out that Kurt Angle has alot of pull and books most of his own angles. Like playing the ever so TSM hated "goof."

Yeah, but with a few exceptions, basically everyone sucks that hasn't had outside experience. Of course, it isn't as if WWE is in the business of creating good wrestlers... The Mandarin 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2003 How did Nowinski get injured anyways? I'm pretty sure it had something to do with the classroom brawl he and Dreamer had, but I'm not sure. Can someone tell me? And yes, I'd be forever sad if he had to retire.

2GOLD 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2003 Torch newsflash: RVD asked Terri Runnels to the prom. Oh, so they're going to rip off Ashton/Demi for a storyline? No That would have to be Paul London and Sable Guy with promising career dates a walking bag of plastic and somehow his career falls apart. Of course, Randy Orton and Terri would fit the Demi/Ashton line of thinking.

I always did like my idea of cheerleaders that say "Chris Nowinski is our man, his theme song is El Capitan, Gooooooooooo HARVARD!" but they never did that. And now they may never get a chance to! Guest Boo_Bradley Report post Posted October 26, 2003 WWE officials have banned yet another move. No longer are wrestlers allowed to whip opponents into the guard rail. This is more of a precaution to the fans, rather then to the wrestlers.
Guest Boo_Bradley Report post Posted October 26, 2003 Steve Austin Wrestles Osbourne, Says He Has No Friends In WWE The following are re-written notes from a PWTorch.com live account of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin on "The Sharon Osbourne" show, which will air this coming Monday: -Started with Austin coming through the crowd asking if anyone was brave enough to trash talk him. This led to Sharon coming out with a purple cape and mask and cutting a promo on "Stone Cold". -Eventually Austin and Osbourne got into a ring they had set up and wrestled, with the finish seeing Sharon low-blowing Austin. Sounds like a nice little skit. -Interview came next and Austin talked about injuries, and how he and Vince McMahon have mutual respect for one another. -Sharon asked Austin if he has any friends behind the scenes, and Austin said hell no, and talked about how you always have to look over your shoulder and watch your back in this business. -They plugged Austin's upcoming book, "The Stone Cold Truth" and provided everyone in the audience a free copy. Austin signed a few t-shirts which Sharon is going to sell on her website to benefit her Breast Cancer Foundation. -Austin plugged his book again, and RAW, and that was about it.
