Ok...Is It Supposed To Be This Easy?

I got the game Saturday last week. I beat it Tuesday. Is it that it's easy, or that I am surprisingly good? Just seems like it should have been more, especially giving i'm stuck on GTA3.

It's a good time, but GTA:VC is easier than GTA3 by a long way. I don't think there's anywhere to get stuck in that game, s it's more a case of just working through the game.

 

And the finish is a fucking anti-climax and a half...

Did you do the Printing Press ending? Because I thought there was someway you could get to the ending by not acquiring the printing press, but it is a different ending.

 

But yes, the game is easy.

I beat GTA3 by myself.

 

I found VC impossible. It sits on my shelf.

I played it non-stop untill I got to the part where I had to break all of the windows in the mall. After a few tries I couldn't get it done, so I went on to the next game for then.

How far am I in the game btw?

You've done the easier half of the main story of the game. That mission was fairly hard the first few tries, it's followed by some fairly easy ones, then several hard missions from the Malibu, then some more hard ones at the end.

For the breaking windows mission, I heard it's really easy when you break them all by doing drive-by's on a motorcycle. When I first played this mission, it took me forever to beat it. I never thought of using the motorcycle.

I hated the fucking ending (with the Press, if it matters). Never have i enjoyed a game so much to the point i loudly curse it after beating it because it was so fucking easy & anticlimactic.

 

I forget how i beat the window thing (i wanna say either drive-by or with the rocket launcher i found in the pool in like Downtown), but it took me awhile. I only got stuck in a few places: the windows, the boat race, the fucking RC chopper, & the street race.

I beat the window thing with the chain gun. The mission that took me the longest was the mission where you bomb the piers with the radio-controlled chopper, then you have to chase a car down with one of them. Tookme forever.

 

That and finding card for the Car dealership. I actually started to put all of the cars away at other garages before hand so I could finidh it fast when I bought it in my second time playing threw.

 

Then the game disk died, and now I wait of it on the X-Box.

3 was way WAY harder then Vice City...I beat VC with no problems or cheat codes

Or you can rip the sports car (I think it's the Infernus) that's sitting on a stand on the first floor. That way you don't get flattened off the cycle by a random rent-a-cop in the mall when you start breaking windows. Drive by the 1st floor, drive to an escalator, then run around the second floor grabbing clothes and shooting out windows as neccessary. It took me several attempts to do it so take my advice for what it's worth.

I beat the window breaking mission on my 3rd try by just running around and shooting out the windows with a machine gun (I'm thinking it was the Mac 10).

 

Overall I thought the game was rather easy, the only real problems were the RC Copter, The Boatrace after you buy the boatyard, the one where you use RC Planes to bomb a drugdeal (I was loudly screaming various profanities at that one until I finally beat it by sheer luck) and that annoying Seaplane which is nearly impossible to fly in the PC version (I still haven't beaten that one).

The boat bombing one with the RC planes is easy. Don't drop any bombs to start and roll around the pier with your plane and kill all the gang members by running into them. They won't shoot at you. Then when they're all dead the boats don't go anywhere and it's home free. I don't know if they fixed that for the PC version or will fix it for the XBox version, but that's the easiest way to do it on the PS2.

 

The Seaplane one is annoying, it took me 3 or 4 attempts. The boatrace was slightly easier, I did it on the 2nd attempt after trying to take a turn too tight and flipping my boat on the first attempt.

I never was able to beat the boat race. Came close a few times, but never did win.

the race for the bank job, where you get your driver, annoyed me t. The first time I beat it was because as soon as I started cops rammed the other guy hard into some spike strips. the second time I made sure to have a real fast car waiting just after teh starting line.
