For the last time...

NEVER START A RESULTS THREAD IF YOU'RE NOT POSTING THEM!

Sorry, but this happens every time there's a show. Is it that hard to make the subtopic "Anybody have them?"

Posted

I want them too, but you had to go and tease all of us.

Apology accepted, but that goes for everybody who starts one of these. Please put something in the topic that shows you don't have them if you have to ask for them.

This is from the ROH board :

These results are from a friend of mine and was his first ROH show, but he is a big fan of NWATNA.

-Dunn & Marcos won the scramble

-Xavier beat Sabin

-Special K beat Carnage Crew

-Teddy Hart was replaced by Walters, who won the fourway with a sharpshooter over Credible

-Dan Maff and Whitmer was very short and ended weirdly, he doesnt know who won.

-Corino and Punk went to a time limit draw, Punk had the announcer read out a list of drugs he would never do in response to Corinos list of beaten foes

-Daniels beat Walters and asked him to join the Prophecy, Xavier got pissed, ran out and beat Walters up, Walters vowed to win his next ROH match

-Homicide beat Samoa Joe in a Non-Title Match

Sorry for the short results but its better than nothing until there is a more detailed report.

Does anybody actually have the number one contender's trophy right now?

Jay Briscoe captured it at 9/6 in Boston, then used his shot at Glen Burnie on 10/16. No one has had it since, unless a match tonight was a No. 1 Contender's Trophy match.

Homicide should be considering he beat the champ.

They used that formula with Dan Maff.

So they're not really using the trophy anymore, which was more or less designed to prevent this angle.

And wasn't Samoa Joe's entire gimmick that the title was always on the line when he wrestled?

Well with the Group breaking up- there went the gimmick of they do what they want.

About the trophy-

They DO use the trophy still. That's how Doug Williams, Homicide, Whitmer and Briscoe all got title shots.

But it only makes sense that if you pin the champ- you get a title shot.

Maybe it was played out what would happen if it WASN'T? Could he still win, or does he get too cocky/over-the-top and get beat?

That kinda thing. And I only follow ROH by this board, so please don't assume I have any clue of how ROH operates.

I don't think he ever had it because his first match after winning the ROH title was a non-title match against Hotstuff Hernandez.

But after the match he put his title on the line against Carter, Stryker and Cabana.

He also put the ROH Title on the line in England against the Zebra Kid cause he wanted to make the title a world title.

His other non title match was against Punk. Since Punk was scheduled to work Dayton- I assume Punk would've won the #1 contenders match and that would've been for the title

1wrestling is reporting that the 11/1 #1 conterders trophy match between Low Ki and Homicide is being replaced by AJ Styles and American Dragon.

I enjoyed the show a lot. It was a great atmosphere and all the matches were fun...except for Xavier/Sabin which was basically a SQUASH. Sabin hit about 4 moves the whole match...but that's probably for the best as Xavier couldn't take any of them properly anyway. It was like watching one guy with a ton of talent lose to a guy with none. Actually...that's exactly what it was.

Daniels/Walters was great.

Joe/Homicide was a little short...but it wouldn't have been believable going longer really, as they both started right off pounding each other and never let up.

Corino/Punk was interesting...but it didn't really get good until near the end.

Did Dunn and Marcos do the AIR GUITAR!!!~

Indeed they did.

Who won Maff v. Whitmer?

Whitmer.

Did the fact that both guys were heels ruin Punk v. Corino?

Actually...they used that as the story. Corino took it upon himself as the veteran heel to teach Punk how to be a true heel. After being slapped by Punk he stayed down till almost the 10 count...and while Punk was confused he used the advantage to dominate the next several minutes. Then...when everyone wanted 5 more minutes, Corino played the face and said "Yeah...let's give these people what they came for" and when it looked like they would continue he said "Now you turn to the crowd, and tell them they have to pay to see it next time". Awesome heel work...and the prematch is too wacky to discribe. It involved Corino's announcer spending FOREVER listing all the great wrestlers who used drugs...and then Punk handing the announcer a list of all the drugs he's never taken...which went on just as long. Hilarious.

How awesome is Julius Smokes?

Is that Homicide's manager?
