Damaramu Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 Wow....the is one of the few new shows lately that I have genuinely liked. Wow....I really felt it with this show. Bravo Spike TV...you actually came up with something good. Does anyone know what the ratings for the show were like though? I wanna know if everyone loved it as much as us. Oh and I'm glad he never fell in love with Molly. They would've had to confess then..."I love you! You make me feel great. I've never met a person like you! Molly I love you..."...."Matt.....I'm not real."
The Mandarin Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 Matt loves breasts, God bless'im.
LaParkaYourCar Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 Will the DVD be unedited where we can see Molly's nipple slip?
Damaramu Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 Matt loves breasts, God bless'im. He's a real red blooded American man by gawd!
Damaramu Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 Will the DVD be unedited where we can see Molly's nipple slip? Let us all pray together for this...... *bows head*
Styles Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 Screw Molly's unedited nipples, I want to see Brian's tits without censoring!
LaParkaYourCar Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 Well there would also be the unedited "Hands on a Hooker"
Anakin Flair Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 I never watched this show, but I wanted to see the last show. I thought it was no next Monday.
LaParkaYourCar Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 Bah Gina wasn't that good looking.
BifEverchad Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 Will the DVD be unedited where we can see Molly's nipple slip?
LaParkaYourCar Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 He said Gina?! UGH! No he said Dr. Pat, but he mentioned that Gina was pretty.
LaParkaYourCar Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 What the??? @ the old timey music
Tawren Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 Excellent show, I am very glad I watched its entire run.
Damaramu Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 Wow....this show...just....well I just haven't run into a show that made me feel like this lately. I hope they DON'T do a Season 2. They could never find a replacement for Matt. Never.
LaParkaMarka Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 That was a really nice ending. And Matt took that really well, considering. It was cute seeing him visit the "control room" and see the crew and whatnot. Â Ralph - "I just want you to know one thing: I'm not a tool." Â Good ol Ralph. Oh, and Ashleigh + Molly = hot. Â You know, for a sequel, why not play the joke on a chick? That could be interesting.
Chuck Woolery Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 Much in the same vein as LPM, I feel that they should find someone easily hateable to be the next Joe Schmo. Make the viewers feel "This asshole deserves what he gets!"
LaParkaYourCar Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 I don't see how they could do it again. And I don't think doing it with someone hated would work because he'd probably go off and kill everyone when he found out. Â Now doing it to a girl...that would be emotional.
Chuck Woolery Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 The thing is, is that you can't just find another Matt Kennedy Gould -- people will have seen it already. You'd need to find a totally different character, which is why I bring up the asshole. The girl would work too, but then you'd get about eighty Earls (stereotyping rulz).
LaParkaYourCar Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 Plus with an asshole what do you do at the end? You can't go all lovey dovey "we did this for you" because he'll find it stupid. Â They could just say "hey we're actors...here's your money now get out of here"
LaParkaMarka Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 Well, Joe Millionaire had the twist where he wasn't a millionaire but they ended up getting money anyways. Have a vaguely similar thing where the Schmoe has to make a choice at the end that decides whether or not he/she gets the prize. Â I'm not sure if it would work with an asshole...maybe with a schemer like Gina was supposed to be. You know, somewhat nice but they think they're some supreme strategist/manipulator. That could be fun. Â Two hours of Joe Schmoe and then an hour of Joe Millionaire. God, I need a life.
Guest TheArchiteck Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 Hah, great ending! Most reality shows end really abruptly...pick the winner...they hug and then its over. I'm glad they took the time to have an interview with the guy. Â And whats wrong with Gina??? She was fucking sexy as hell! Â It kind of sucks for Matt about Brian being an actor. Looked like he was really hurt about that. The one person you actually trusted ended up lying to you. Â Earl is hilarious, for some morbid reason that "Only thing you feel from taking a human life is the recoil..." line plus his stern look had me laughing pretty hard. Â Kip should get an award, he played the hell out of his part.
Tawren Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 I hope they don't do a Joe Schmoe 2, because it just wouldn't work AND nothing ever rekindles the magic of the original (in TV world). Survivor 1 and 2 were good, everything else has sucked ass. And with things like Joe Millionare and Joe Schmoe, they just don't work a second time around.
LaParkaYourCar Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 This was the feel good tv show of the year. I'm definitely getting the DVD if they make one.
Vyce Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 Seriously, I have not been this captivated at a reality show since the first season of Survivor. Â Great fucking show. It will DEFINITELY get my money when it comes out on DVD.
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 Kip and Hutch were awesome together. They made this show great.
Chuck Woolery Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 What I found funnier about Earl was when he walked to the back and everybody was getting bent out of shape about Matt crying, and he just smirked and was like "Yeah, he loved me". That cracked me up instantly.
MillenniumMan831 Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 What a fantastic finale to a fantastic series!
LaParkaMarka Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 You know, I'm saw a bit of the ep again as it repeats, and I really dislike the whole "It was all for you!" angle. I'm glad Matt called them on it at his interview thing, it obviously wasn't all for him. Hell, the advertising around the show is based on the idea of some moron falling for a fake show. Not exactly altruistic.
LaParkaYourCar Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 I think what they mean is that it didn't start for him, but it became for him. They changed things for him and even contemplated ending it when he got emotional.
