Ok, so the Matrix Revolutions comes out today. So far this thing is getting absolutely TRASHED by critics. I took a look on rottentomatoes.com and it's getting like 38%, which is horribly bad for such a highly anticipated film.

Anyway, everyone post your thoughts here after seeing the movie. What did you like about it? Not like? And so on.

I plan on seeing it in a couple hours. I have good hopes, because I am going in with lower expectations. I enjoyed Reloaded, but months of bashing it have kind of just got me down about the movie in general. All I want from this one is to simply explain the point (the more convoluted the explanation the worse the movie) and to be a good action movie, not asking too much there.

I just got home from the 1am release showing here in Melbourne. Whilst my opinion is violently tainted by the fact that I was so bored one hour into the film that I fell asleep and didn't wake up until just before the end, I can see why it's copped the belting it has from the critics. What was once mighty has fallen. Hard. I'm doubly heartbroken by the fact that it was a disappointing movie and that I missed the larger part of a movie I've been eagerly waiting for. Obviously I'm going to have to go and see it again, but I'm not particularly looking forward to it.

Hey Nanks, Aint It Cool says that the ending in particular sucks balls, what are youre thoughts - but use spiler tags, just in case

If the end of the movie is what I heard the end of the movie was, then yes, the ending will suck huge balls.

Either way, going to see it at IMAX on Friday. I didn't particularly hate Reloaded, so it wouldn't bother me if this movie was on the same level.

There's probably no real need for the spoiler tags, but I will anyway

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):

Yes, the ending sure did suck balls, big ones. Simply put, they fucked it. They fucked it REAL bad, and that's without really seeing most of the movie

Wow, that was really bad. Weird plot holes, loose ends, bad continuity and some really bad dialogue.

I'll go in to more detail once everyone else has seen it.

I nodded off for a while there too. But that was more from lack of sleep.

I look forward to reading this thread when its a page long and filled with remarks about how appalling bad and disappointing it was.

I guess I recommend watching it because I think the sheer shittiness of this film will be a hot topic for a while and you'll want to join in on the Matrix Revolutions-bashing.

The critics have absolutely shredded this movie so far. I have to say I'm seriously considering skipping the whole thing.

From what I've been told the spoilers I posted where correct which means it sucked ass. I have a chance to see it for free this weekend, so I probably will.

Yeah Mr. J. I remember your spoiler page. I haven't seen the movie yet but from the reviews I've read it all matches up with what your spoilers said.

I'm actually planning to see it on Saturday with my brother since he'll be off from school. Also going with my friend Ian. Ian is necessary because we ranted at length in a restaurant about Reloaded after seeing it initially. Haha.

Anyway, I tried to warn people about this. I really did. I kept saying that there was really no good way to end this thing. In a warped way I am eager to see the movie just to see if it sucks as bad as I think it will.

I guess this is the Wachowskis new ingenious way of making money: deliver an absolute turkey and have people go see it just to see if it's really as bad as purported.

Wonder how many theaters are going to have riots start over the ending? I'm going to seriously want to kick someone's ass if I sat through 3 movies for that.

Oh, the ending was as bad as advertised.

...Probably a little better than Reloaded, though.

Well then I hope you're prepared to be disappointed. My friends and I went to the 7AM showing this morning, and we ALL left disappointed.

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):

I'm upset that they cut the Merovingian out as much as they did. He was the best character in Reloaded. Persephone had like, what, one line? All around a general embarassment.

I always thought they were kind of stupid, all I want is an action movie. I hope I get that much at last.

Well, more action than in Reloaded. But it gets a little tedious, to be honest.

Honestly, I'd go into detail, but spoilers suck hard, and I don't trust that I could work the HTML thing here to actually NOT give it away.

Are any questions answered in this movie?

Yes, they answer the questions from the last one....with more questions...

EDIT: Oh, and that link is 50-60% correct.

Nah, those spoilers are only about 35% right. It wasn't as bad as the spoilers would be in movie form.

I'm disappointed yes, but god-DAMN was that some intense shit in spots.

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):

The idea of a peace between machine and man instead of one clear victor pisses me off. It makes me feel like the Austin/HHH thing from early 2001 where they went from hating each other to becoming buddies (including vanquishing The Rock, in this case Neo). It doesn't make much sense. I also expected it to contain a LOT more philosophical babble, but this time they just stood around saying "yes, I know what you're thinking" in different ways for two hours.

EDIT: Okay, maybe you picked up on some stuff I didn't notice. The spoilers don't seem that accurate to me.
