Cherry Blossom Viscount 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2003 Brock is going to be used as an attempt to rejuvinate his career. He did it for Big Show, and he just may be able to do it for Bob. Wight should be giving at leats a 10% cut of his salary to Lesnar. No, booking Big Show as a credible heel saved his career. Lesnar was just there. If that's the case, Lesnar should give all of his salary to the various cruiserweights, upper carders, and main eventers he was put over as a heatless lug back in 2002. If Brock didn't carry his ass to the best matches of his life and bump like a man for him night in and night out, no one would have believed this was any more than Big Show push # 456. He's been booked as credible before, and never got anywhere because no one would make him look good. Brock did that.
HurriShane 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2003 I was a big fan of the Big Shot gimmick he had there for a while and I actually enjoy his work in the ring. I could see him definitley stepping up into U.S. title contention before the end of the year.

Seems like you have a boner for Brock, the way you're defending him and all. Also, Show was only in a feud with Brock for about a month, then Brock went back to working with Angle. So, how has Show managed to stay over for the past 11 months? Oh yes, that's it, GOOD BOOKING. Rodney Mack had an undefeated streak for awhile and still no one cares for him. Just call me Dan 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2003 Brock and Big Show feuded on again off again for months. I attribute the Brock feud to saving Big Show's career. Yes, it had a lot to do with the booking, but Brock and Wight had a great chemistry that would have not been captured had it been with any other babyface. He's worked feuds with all of them. I used the "Wight should give him 10%" just to accenuate the main point. Then, you decide to rip it apart, and then insult me by implying that I may have a "boner for Brock"?!?! Kindly fuck off. LooseCannon25 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2003 Holly's a dick plain and simple....The guy's been nobody his whole damn career, and to make up for it he thinks he 's gotta be a touch guy with a rep of a bad ass. Fuck Holly and his bullying, fake tough guy gimmick.

If you don't want anyone disagreeing with your opinion, you should commit suicide, because that's how the world is. Also, I "insulted" you because you got worked up just for the simple fact I don't think a green roid moneky saved Big Show's career. Boo-fucking-hoo. It doesn't take a wide array of social skills to survive on the net, but you seem to be lacking some basic ones, son.
Just call me Dan 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2003 So yourt insults are now being used to amake up for your lack of arguing the point. I was never worked up, I disagreed. "Horseshit" must have come off to you as me being pissed off, which is not the case. You then proceed to try and pass for a bully, and try and put me down. I saw your comments as insulting. If you did not mean them in that way, I am mistaken and apologize. To further the ACTUAL CONVERSATION, do you not agree with what I was saying before? Wight has feuded with every mega face on the roster even Rock, but never managaed to catch the spark he did with Lesnar. Therefore, I attruibute Lesnar to saving his career. And, don't call me son. Just call me Dan.
Guest Coffey Report post Posted November 10, 2003 I would like Bob Holly more if he finished with that "Gas Mask" move that was he was using on Velocity before his latest injury. He needs a new look & name too. Bob Holly doesn't sound like anything special. Hardcore Holly isn't much better either after the way Hardcore has been through the wash so many times. A name like Brock sort of jumps out at you. I'm not asking for them to give him some ridiculous new gimmick. He just needs...freshened up. How? Well, I don't know. That's what the WWE pays certain people to do. Props to the Gas Mask though. Seriously.

Guest Coffey Report post Posted November 10, 2003 It's like a belly to belly, full nelson overhead suplex. Does that makes sense? Holly & his opponent are belly to belly. Then Holly locks in a full nelson so that his fingers are locked over his opponents face, then he hits an overhead suplex.

Slayer 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2003 Like Coffeyag0 said, I believe it means that, like a full nelson you snake your arms under your opponents shoulders and around, but instead of clasping your hands on their neck, you clasp them over their face

Just call me Dan 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2003 Oh, I get it. Problem is, if they banned and overhead belly to belly, it would have to be out. Perhaps he'd do it to Brock at SS, though because the man can sure jump.

Wight has feuded with every mega face on the roster even Rock, but never managaed to catch the spark he did with Lesnar. Therefore, I attruibute Lesnar to saving his career. And, don't call me son. Just call me Dan. I attribute it to a combination of both, but more of good booking. WWE had a series of start/stop pushed with Wright. I mean really, before he jumped to SD, no one knew whether he was a heel or face. With SD he got a frsh start as a heel, and had Heyman put him over as a threat to Brock. The matches with Brock did help, but just giving Show a steady track and not having him flip flop helped ALOT more than having Lesnar around.
Just call me Dan 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2003 Ok. Agreed. I know he needed a stady track and some strong booking. There is no way just feuding with Brock could have done it. Just as a long time fan of his, and someone who has always been pulling for the guy, I've seen the booking comittee book him strong and he just falls on his face because it just isn't there. Even being in the worst shape of his life, Brock tore it up with him as best he could. I personally believe that even if they gave TBS the same sort of steady push, had Brock always been heel and they never feuded, he would be trading wins with Shannon Moore. Funny how people being massacred with unprotected chair shots is still allowed, but those deadly belly to belly suplexes, that have ended countless careers, are banned. Yep. Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2003 No, booking Big Show as a credible heel saved his career If you're refering to him being pushed as a monster once he was traded to SD, I can see where you're coming from, but its hard being credible when you've pretty much lost to everybody on RAW including Jeff fucking Hardy. Oh yeah, another reason for Holly hate, is that I'm afraid he will try to injure Brock or at least potato him to get revenge.

AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2003 It would be funny if some smarks got a noticeable "SPARKY SUCKS!" chant going during Survivor Series. Personally, I kinda dug Holly as the Big Shot, but he's not really done much besides that. Yeah, he's a tough bastard for finishing that match with Angle with the broken arm, but he hasn't really done anything to warrant a push, really, like...get over again, or have decent matches, or act professional and gain the respect of his peers.
