The Ravens signed QB Ray Lucas...I hope he throws nothing but INTs

Now for the biggie...the Browns released WR Kevin Johnson. He's gonna make a big time addition to whatever playoff headed team he signs with

Get away Cartman. Johnson is mine. I swear to god if Reid doesn't go after him, he needs a swift kick in the nyuts.

But you have James Thrash and Todd Pinkston! *holds back laughter*

LOL

I claimed him first, YOU go away :)

When your team has 2 second year guys, and a rookie leading the team in recieiving then come talk to me. I would take Thrash and Pinkston over Givens and Branch anyday...well, then again maybe not over Branch...

The Ravens should sign Johnson and dump Sanders or Robinson.

Hell, Johnson could be their #1 reciever (not including Heap).

Im shocked that the Browns would just cut him.

And Ray Lucas will probably just be the backup QB to Anthony Wright.

Bengals if you have first shot at him, pick him up, screw the other AFC teams who may need a WR during the stretch run.

Or does he have enough years to not go through waivers.

They are saying he will make it through waivers, due to a 2 million dollar bonus in 2005. So tomorrow night he will be a FA.

To Andy Reid, you have cap room. Use it and claim him. Don't take the chance.

The Bengals don't need him but I say sign him so no one else can have him.

True...Bengals don't need a WR as Johnson and Warrick are superb...but yeah fuck em over or hell give San Diego a couple Million to pay for the contract.

Would he really help the Ravens? I mean, you need someone to throw the ball to the guy.

I was thinking Jets, but the other Moss has stepped up and announcers were speculating that they would go after T.O in the offseason.

Would he help the Bills? I haven't seen them since week 2, so I'm not sure what the heck is wrong with that offense. But Johnson could be a step up from Shaw or Reed.

Hell yes. Hello, Ozzie Newome? KEVIN JOHNSON IS A FREE AGENT. Go get 'im. Considering our best receiver not named Todd Heap is Travis Taylor, I think we really need the upgrade. I'd keep Sanders and Robinson for depth, though.

And Ray Lucas will probably just be the backup QB to Anthony Wright.

I actually read an article that said Wright would start Sunday. I hope that to be true.

Johnson can start for Cowboys or Vikings if he wants to.

Nah, the Cowboys are pretty set at receiver. Why does everyone seem to think that they need help there?? Galloway, Bryant, and Glenn are one of the best trios in the league.

THE COWBOYS DO NOT NEED RECEIVER HELP. An upgrade at running back would be more prudent.

The Cowboys don't need another receiver. I don't know about Dillon in Big D. Parcells would beat his ass if he acts like a bitch there. I think Johnson would really help Philly, Baltimore, and Green Bay in trying to make a push for the playoffs.

The Cowboys WRs tend to drop the ball alot. I think the WR trio from Steelers or Rams or Pat are better than Cowboys.

The drops haven't exactly crippled the offense or anything. And it seems every time they do drop a ball or make a bad play, they come up with a great one to balance it out. If the drops were a huge problem, they wouldn't be 7-2.

The Cowboys have more pressing needs than receiver (i.e. running back, pass rush). I'd rather see them address those first. It's not necessarily a bad move if they were to sign Johnson, but they really don't need him.

Reports coming out of Cleveland have KJ going to Jacksonville, but it isn't on espn.com yet. Can anyone confirm this?

I read on kffl.com that Jax claimed him off of waivers, and they're pretty to-the-minute with these things...

(edit)Just checked, and here's the official press release from NFL.com. Looks like the underachieving JJ Stokes is again jobless...

But really, what does it matter, when the Arizona (Danger: May contain football-like substance) Cardinals cut (the other) Tim Duncan and sign Neil Rackers?

The Jags have needed a legit 2nd receiver for years and Johnson's still young. They just made a move to build for the future and to give Leftwich a good 2nd option.
