Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted November 12, 2003 Report Posted November 12, 2003 If he's like Benoit, then I might like him, except for his mic skills lol.
The Mandarin Posted November 12, 2003 Report Posted November 12, 2003 Are there any actual, full spoilers?
The Ghost of bps21 Posted November 12, 2003 Report Posted November 12, 2003 Oh I see then... Wasn't it they only offered him like $500 per show and that wasn't to his *standards* and he used the "I can't support my family with that" card? He was offered 500 dollars A WEEK. He makes well more than that per appearance.

He already said the main reason is because of his family. If he works in the WWE, then he will ALWAYS be on the road. This way he can take time off when he needs to or work more when he needs the money.

Guest Username Posted November 12, 2003 Report Posted November 12, 2003 I'll try and upload a Walters match before Saturday. hey, that would be great if you could. where are you going to put the file up? are you gonna host it on your own site or something? do any of you know of good sites that have downloadable wrestling matches?
Ultra Violence Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 markoutzone forums have a good media section with a member who has lots of matches and some guy who posts downloadable nwa:tna full shows
Guest Choken One Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 . Where does he live anyways?
PsychoDriver Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 Good match on paper, but it's WWE TV so I don't expect much from it. Seeing that it's only 6 minutes and has been called "Subpar" in reports. Too bad though, it could have been one to remember if given enough time.
Jack_Bauer Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 How well do people rate American Dragon. I think he's the best in the US just now.
bob_barron Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 John Walters lives in Massachusetts. Dragon, Spanky and London are all from Texas
Guest One Trick Pony Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 I thought AM. Dragon was all "They don't pay me enough to work for them" and didn't sign a contract? Or am I thinking of another Indy Hype Job? It's AJ Styles. I also find it funny how you got the facts wrong and referred to him as an indy hype job when I've read that you like Paul London. Quite the irony.
Guest Coffey Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 How well do people rate American Dragon. I think he's the best in the US just now. I think he's the best US Indy worker. He's no Chris Benoit or Eddie Guerrero just yet. I mean, they have tons of experience from all over the world. WWE, WCW, ECW, Japan, etc.. I love American Dragon though.
Guest Real F'n Show Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 John Walters lives in Massachusetts. Dragon, Spanky and London are all from Texas Actually Spanky and American Dragon are from Washington. Paul London's from Texas though. And I rate American Dragon in the top 5 wrestlers in the U.S. right now. He's definately the best U.S. indy worker along with Homicide.
Guest Username Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 while were at it, how do you guys rate paul london? any of you guys dig london in here? also, is there any really good technical mat wrestlers in the indy scene? most of the 'known' ones are really good but their styles are still mostly spotty.

Username- Paul London is my favourite wrestler. He's amazing and has been in IMO the top two matches of 2003. I've dug his Velocity matches so far
Guest Mulatto Heat Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 any of you guys dig london in here? Absolutely. He's a hell of a worker.

I've dug his Velocity matches so far yeah, i wish velocity was on sundays. i'm never home on saturday nights so i never get to see velocity...velocity always has wayy better line ups then heat. i watch heat on sundays and it's always boring. i used to be able to use my timer on my vcr, but since it's been broken...no can do. i've seen london's debut against lesnar which was a total squash...i've seen him in one match teamed up with spanky and it was a pretty good match...i've downloaded some of his matches and i was quite impressed. has london done 'the london calling' (shooting star press) in the WWE yet??? i wonder if he's going to use it because i know the WWE make a big deal out of wrestlers having the same finisher. i read ultimo doesn't do his dragon sleeper finisher anymore because undertaker uses it. so yeah, i wonder if he will since kidman uses the ssp.
bob_barron Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 He hasn't used the London Calling in the two matches I've seen. The enziguri->STO thing is pretty sweet though. He did the London Calling in a Velocity match against Matt Hardy in May- that was his tryout match for the most part
Guest One Trick Pony Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 Like Mulatto Heat said about hosses, the same goes for all these indy guys who mostly work high flying style. The more of them there are, the less important each one seems. It really detracts from guys like Spanky and American Dragon when there are overhyped wrestlers like Low Ki and Paul London out there. Everyone gets sick of seeing these people they don't know that disappoint them and then don't wanna give anyone else a chance.

bob_barron Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 Paul London isn't an overhyped wrestler- he's not just a spotmonkey
Jack_Bauer Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 Paul London isn't an overhyped wrestler- he's not just a spotmonkey Totally true. Paul London has went out and had great matches in ROH with practically everyone he has faced. Micheal Shane, Spanky, Samoa Joe, AJ Styles ( which was one of the best matches I have ever seen in ROH ), and then went to TNA and had a great match with Chris Sabin. As for Low Ki, I reckon that guy is world class. He proved his class time and time again in ROH. American Dragon is my fave worker in the US right now though, because recently, I have watched his matches with Low Ki and with AJ Styles, and they were better than most of the matches I have seen from any wrestler so far this year.

Michrome Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 Sadly, all reports are that they worked a WWE style match that was under 6 minutes, so I can't see it being anything special. American Dragon is a better worker than just about everyone in the WWE, outside of Benoit and Guerrero.
