ant_7000 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2003 Its was good documentary on Pac, I had already heard/seen/read some of his interviews and heard the stories but when I saw this I was impressed, his interviews and stories went into depth and detail with old clips, photos, and Pac semi-narrorating, its covers about everything from his upbringing to his fame and his death. I left the movie having more respect for him. I would recommended this movie to fans (won't be dissapointed) even non fans go with an open mind to it. Has anyone else see it? Thoughts? Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2003 I haven't seen it and honestly, don't really have an interest in checking it out. I know he did so much for the industry and all that, but I wish they'd just let him die for real already. It's becoming quite clear that Pac's going to accomplish more dead than I ever will alive. ant_7000 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2003 Its not really about Pac the rapper, its about Pac as a person and his views on society.
Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2003 It's nice and all that they made a documentary for him (especially one that focuses on the man himself), but I can't help but feel that a lot of what we've seen from Pac since his death is just an excuse to rake in some more cash. Guest subliminal_animal Report post Posted November 16, 2003 It should be about Pac the character he played on a "A Different World." Those were good times. All other forms of Pac are tired and overexposed, except maybe the one from "Da Mob" and the ones that came back to life as bad rappers halfway-molded and quarter-cooked in his image. I understand what your saying. I know Pac is getting exploited since his death by everyone and everything, and I already saw some his old interviews but theres some home video camcorder footage that was intresting, and I liked how they put the documentary together. art_vandelay 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2003 I'm more likely to see this than anything else that's in theatres now, but I'm a bit more intrigued by that "Biggie & Tupac" documentary that came out on DVD last year. Any of you seen that?

razazteca 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2003 I'm thinking this is Suge Knight's only money maker so he and the mother will milk this for every dollar they can get.
syxx2001 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2003 If they want to make money off of him, let them. What difference does it make if he died or live. It isn't like they are pissing on his legacy (unless you count Nu Mixx Klazzics). And I saw the Biggie/Tupac documentary. I have it.
Guest Mercutio X. Machina Report post Posted November 16, 2003 The guy who made the Biggie & Tupac documentary is the same guy responsible for the Kurt and Courtney doc. I thought that with some expeerience, he'd know what the fuck he was doing but I was wrong. He's a clutz and he comes off like an amateur filmmaker. He ruined what could have been a good and enlightening piece, if you ask me. That said, I'm interested in seeing Resurrection if for no other reason than I know it will at least be innovative in the way they tell the story and that MTV Films are the ones producing it, guaranteeing quality sound and visuals if nothing else. Plus I'm sure with the money they have, they've gotten access to more than a few things we haven't seen before. I'm as tired of 'Pac as everyone else, but it's because I'm tired of seeing the SAME shit over and over. This doesn't look like it's entirely going to be that way. NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2003 This movie is mosty likely another round of, "gather every interview, soundbyte, and piece of info that we have already seen and heard somewhere else, paste it together and repackage it"
EdwardKnoxII 0 Report post Posted November 17, 2003 You just know with this coming out that a bunch of his fans are going to use it as proof that Pac is still alive and out there somewhere.
Brush with Greatness 0 Report post Posted November 17, 2003 Kurt and Courtney would have been a hell of a lot better had they actually been able to license Nirvana tracks. And whatever happened with all of that? Who owns the rights now, Noveselic/Grohl or Love? Never saw, Biggie/Tupac or Resurrection. But one movie worth checking out is a documentary on Death Row Records called "Welcome to Death Row". Awesome documentary that chronicles the very entertaining history of the company.
