Mrnoitaull Posted December 10, 2004 Report Posted December 10, 2004 Ive read that that Monty Brown's "Alpha Bomb" was a Belly to Belly into a Powerbomb. anyone have a better description?
Guest mynameisdane Posted December 10, 2004 Report Posted December 10, 2004 I thought it was a fall-away slam into a powerbomb.
Mrnoitaull Posted December 10, 2004 Report Posted December 10, 2004 ok, so just to be sure , its a stnading firemans carry where he spins and lets the victims heads go while throwing the victim in front of him (like the Test Neckbreaker on SD:SYM) ?
Guest Joe_G Posted December 10, 2004 Report Posted December 10, 2004 Actually, the Alpha Bomb was where Monty lifts the opponent up so that the opponent is chest to chest with him at a 90 degree angle (so they make a "T" so to speak). Then Monty converts that to a powerbomb.
Dace59 Posted December 10, 2004 Report Posted December 10, 2004 Which is a Fall-Away Slam set up to Powerbomb as stated.
Mrnoitaull Posted December 10, 2004 Report Posted December 10, 2004 Im sorry I just cant picture that.fallaway tp p bomb, no one else has done this ? vid ?

Mrnoitaull Posted December 10, 2004 Report Posted December 10, 2004 thank you and sorry for the hassle helluva move never seen that before
Mrnoitaull Posted December 16, 2004 Report Posted December 16, 2004 ok, how would you describe that move that Hurricane has been doing for the past month or two? He hooks his head under his opponenets arm as he also hooks his arm as if hes doing a reverse unprettier. He then twist then around into a Eye of the Hurricane type move.

I haven't been watching Raw for a few months, so I don't know what you're talking about, but your description sounds like that of a move Reno used in WCW, called 'Roll The Dice' or 'Roll Of The Dice'

That's the same move as the Hero's Welcome, right? I think this move is that inverted unprettier he does where he falls across the opponent's chest and drops the back of their head to the mat. If so, I'm not sure it has an actual name.
Mrnoitaull Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 yeah thats it thanks for clearing it up
Guest uyaljg Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 Todd Grisham called that move from Hurricane "The Underdog", on a Heat. Yeah...
Mrnoitaull Posted January 3, 2005 Report Posted January 3, 2005 I was wonderin what he called i. I heard Under fitting name considering his gimmick
AnonymousBroccoli Posted January 4, 2005 Report Posted January 4, 2005 What's the difference between a Yakuza Kick, and a Mafia Kick? I've heard both names when referring to a kick to the head of a running opponent, where it's not quite like Kevin Nash putting the boot up, and the opponent running into it, and not quite a side kick like the Sweet Chin Music, but somewhere in between. It's like a big boot, but the kicker turns to the side a bit and thrusts, probably because he's not tall enough to hit the big hoss version. Long story short, I'm looking for a name of the kick Edge has used a few times lately, including last night on Raw.
Dace59 Posted January 4, 2005 Report Posted January 4, 2005 Basiclly, Yakuza Kick/Mafia Kick are the same thing (Mafia Kick being orignal name, and as you know, Yakuza is Japanese version of the Mafia) so the name was tagged on. Both are a Running Big Boot. Not the lazy Nash style lift the boot and let someone run into it. Attack runs forward and throws his leg out (often turning to the side to keep balance or to appear to throw weight behind it) and kicks their opp in the face.
AnonymousBroccoli Posted January 4, 2005 Report Posted January 4, 2005 I wasn't sure if I'd only heard some ROH announcers referring to the move when Dan Maff (formerly known as Mafia) performed it, if he ever has. But that makes sense. Thanks.
Guest Real F'n Show Posted January 9, 2005 Report Posted January 9, 2005 What's Kevin Steen's Go Home Driver?
Guest oslo Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 Can someone describe CM Punk's "Pepsi twist" move ?? I only read about him performing a move called that...
Mrnoitaull Posted January 23, 2005 Report Posted January 23, 2005 Can someone describe CM Punk's "Pepsi twist" move ?? I only read about him performing a move called that... Pepsi Twist (Hammerlock into Clothesline)
Dace59 Posted January 23, 2005 Report Posted January 23, 2005 Slightly better desc of the Pespi Twist: Hammerlocking the opp, but stepped forwards and to the side, so Punk stands side by side with his opp, reaching behind their back to hold onto the hammerlock. Opps other arm is usual over his shoulder. From there he twists round into a clothesline and falls with the opp. If need be, picture a Side Russian Legsweep style set up. Should help.
Toxxic Posted March 2, 2005 Report Posted March 2, 2005 I have yet to see a decent Yakuza kick. Trent Acid's especially looks AWFUL.
Dandy Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 I don't get TNA PPV's, and would like a name and further info on the submission that Daniels put Styles in during the IronMan. It was like a crossface, but using his own leg as a fulcrum to grab. All of the highlights just showed extreme closeups, and I couldn't see the full move.
LucharesuFan619 Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 Not sure of the name, but Tenay said that he learned it in New Japan. Daniels has used the move in a couple of his other indy matches recently.
