haVoc 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2003 PPV could be first WWE 5 hour PPV. Also could the Hulkster return for the show? WWE is strongly considering having WrestleMania be 5 hours long at the price of $50. In the past, WWE has ran 4 hour WrestleMania PPVs at $45. The extra fifth hour will not be used for matches, but so that WWE can add nostalgic video packages from the past WrestleManias throughout the PPV. Right now, the matches being talked about for WrestleMania XX are as follows: Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar Kane vs. The Undertaker Steve Austin vs. Vince McMahon Triple H vs. Mick Foley It also appears that WWE is now anticipating that the Rock will work a match at the show, although who he will face is still a mystery. Vince McMahoon is also said to be somewhat open to possibly bringing back Hulk Hogan for the show. His main problem with that right now is that Hogan could headline a major TNA PPV in February, and McMahon doesn't want to bring Hogan in for WrestleMania if he will be headlining a rival's PPV the month before. Mole 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2003 Bah, when will WWE learn? They need to put fresh young talent in the PPV for WM, not old fuckers. And make the PPV 5 hours!!! They have PLENTY of talent to fill it up.
Guest RollingSambos Report post Posted November 22, 2003 Even though the match would be largely unspectacular, Austin vs. McMahon would be a pretty fitting finish to Austin's in-ring career.

Guest JRE Report post Posted November 22, 2003 I think it does too. I'm all for 5 hours (I'll be there at MSG!)- let's hope they keep the past moments clips down to 1 between every match. I hope they find...as they plan the card out...that the extra hour would be nice for more matches
Guest RollingSambos Report post Posted November 22, 2003 I also think that that line-up looks like a lot of fun. And since Jericho, Eddie, Benoit, The Rock, Angle, etc. haven't even been added to that line-up...drool at the possibilities, folks.

I dunno if I'd make NO mention to history, considering it's the 20th anniversary and all, but really, the PPV should to more to establish the new generation than it should to glorify the old one. And damn it, Austin/McMahon was played out in 99. I really don't feel like sitting through another feud between those two, especially now that they're both non-wrestlers. If Austin wants to wrestle, fine, but they can come up with a better opponent than Vince.

Brocklock 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2003 I have a feeling they are going to have Rock/HBK at Mania, and I pray that they have Angle/Benoit with Bret as Ref. I also think they will do Edge/Cena for the US Title. Bret as Ref in Austin/Vince would rule too. I don't really know where Eddie/Jericho/RVD will end up. 2GOLD 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2003 Hahahahaha 50 dollars ahahahahahahaha Yeah right! There isn't a wrestling card on the planet that would be worth 50 dollars. Unless wrestlers are literally coming back from the dead, that is an insane amount for a wrestling PPV.

razazteca 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2003 OK...normal PPVs are $35 and are 2 1/2 3 hours tops. $50 for the 'biggest show of them all' is a hell of a good deal. At 2 1/2 hours long, you're paying approximately $14 an hour to watch a PPV which sometimes is a great deal, sometimes it's a mwaste of money. For 5 hours at $50 you're paying $10 per hour. Of course, that's from a mathematic stand point. Personally, just to say you saw Wrestlemania XX live on PPV is worth $50 but I've ordered every Wrestlemania since X except 11, 12 and 13 and that was from lack of PPV capability. There's no way I'm missing 20. Vince could charge $110 and I'd still pay to say I watched WM XX Well if you want to watch the hour of extra footage with "guest celebrities" from the I Luv the 80's show, and a live performance by the band that does that Coors beer commercial about the twins, and special guest Brittney Spears give Vince McMahan a lap dance. Then by all means pay that $50 for fluff.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2003 Good news: HHH / Orton looks like its not gonna happen. The Rock, Hulk Hogan, and Bret Hart MAY appear. Bad news: No Austin Vs. Hogan or Austin Vs. Goldberg sadly.
Tawren 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2003 I'd like to see them stack it with 5 hours of wrestling, and by stack it I mean stack it. Dream matches for the idiots that want to "mark out" and good matches for us non-morons. None of this pillow fight crap or 1 hour of videos showing nothing important. Of course, that is what we will get.
