1234-5678 Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 4 cats at my parents house Maggie, Winnie, Stevie and Mojo
spiny norman Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 My pet history: Mr. Walker (1987-1988): A grey cat who ran away. Meggs (1989-1990): A ginger cat who ran away. Mozart (1991-1995): A gorgeous cat who was bitten by a snake and died. Buddy (1993 onwards): Half labrador, he is brown. My first real pet which was all mine. Whiskers (1995): A stray cat we picked up who my father accidentally ran over. Miss Mo (1996-2002): Our favourite cat, half Persian, suffered from depression and neurotica. Got hit by a car. Milo (1997-1998): Neighbour's cat who they left with us after they moved away. It clawed away our front door, and we were planning on moving, so we sold it. Remy (2001-2003): Cat, named after the remote control. I came home one day and found her dead in the driveway after being hit by a car. Flip (2003 onwards): New cat, she has Tourette's. Plus I've had a few hermit crabs: Shelley, Mishell, etc.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 Most recently, I had a little Calico kitten named Misery which was swept up and devoured by coyotes. A shame, really. That kitty was cute.

Damaramu Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 And your fish get along? Those red-tails and tiger barbs can get mean, especially with prissy neons in the tank. Love to know what your house smells like... Actually they are in different tanks. Also my house smells just fine. The dogs don't use the bathroom in the house, I clean the pig cages every week and my mom cleans like a freak like 4 times a week.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 Actually they are in different tanks. Cool. I thought Barbs liked a different kind of water condition than Neons (Neons like the water slightly acidic.) One of my favorite kinds of fish are those other "sharks" -- the blue ones that don't bother anyone and just do their own thing...
Guest FrigidSoul Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 I bet you Wobbler's hermit crabs somehow get run over by a car too
Damaramu Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 Man I had a red-clawed crab. He started molting and the fish ate him.
spiny norman Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 My hermit crabs weren't run over, no. They all went into hibernation one winter and didn't come out. One of my cats did last quite a few years and rarely ventured out. The first time she ever went on the road was her last. Though, as I said above, she was suffering from depression, so yeah, it wouldn't suprise me if she was suicidal.
The Kid Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 This is Storm...pic taken in the Summer, he's massive now though. I miss it when he was a puppy.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 Labs are my favorite type of dog. And how do you know if a cat suffers from depression?...
spiny norman Posted November 27, 2003 Report Posted November 27, 2003 The vet diagnosed the cat with it. It was incredibly neurotic, and any change at all (like, moving a piece of furniture) traumatised it and it would begin urinating blood and would be needed to be taken to the vet. He said it suffered from depression, and I didn't really question his judgement. Though it never seemed particularly happy, until about the last few months before it died.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted November 27, 2003 Report Posted November 27, 2003 Damn. When our oldest cat was a kitten she would get upset whenever my better half left for more than a day (went to her parents' house, Rant, not the domestic abuse shelter). Funny thing is right when she would come back home Dessa would then poop on the floor right next to her litterboxes (Vet said it was separation anxiety, but I think it was because she was a little brat). What made it even better is that this was always when I would be leaving for work, so I'd let her know what her cat did as I was leaving the apartment...
MrRant Posted November 27, 2003 Report Posted November 27, 2003 Damn. When our oldest cat was a kitten she would get upset whenever my better half left for more than a day (went to her parents' house, Rant, not the domestic abuse shelter). Pussy. The best animals are the ones traumatized by spousal abuse.
Adam Posted November 27, 2003 Report Posted November 27, 2003 8 year old Black Laborador named Fran. Still thinks she 18 months old.
