Yeah, I'm not sure if it was Heat or a dark match, but I was there. Stevie (in crash attire, he entered the ring like him too)....just wrestling, innocently enough. Heidenreich goes for an eltric chair drop (fall back, not fall forward). Stevie seemingly lands on his head. The match ends. Referee's swarm the ring...some meds too, a stretcher comes down...Stevie lies for a good 5 minutes. He eventually walks out with assistance. We cheered him big, he looked touched walking out...wanted to be turned around to look at us.

But, yeah, Johnny screws up again

First Off...Stevie needs to get over Crash's Death.

Oh really touching man.

Honoring him is one thing but Crash Died Three weeks ago.

It's not emotional good to do something like that.

I doubt he's sitting in his hotel room every night and crying a puddle of tears. It just sounds like he's honoring his friend on house shows here and there.

Heidenreich sure is big, huh?

Hope he's okay....I think it may be hard to get Stevie to agree to having anymore matches with him. Or for that matter, having anyone else wrestle him.

Okay, then, let's have one of your best friends - who you've known for years and is like a brother to you - die suddenly, IN YOUR HOUSE, and let's see if you're "over it" in just a few short weeks.

I've been there.

I didn't dress like him and walk like him like Stevie is doing.

If he keeps doing this (and he's been doing it ever since), he's not gonna be able to move on.

Well maybe he's doing this to honor Crash because lord knows the WWE isn't going to do it anytime soon.

Way to open a can of worms there...

If I hear a report in the future about John Heimlech injuring Steven Richards again...yeah I can take a hint.

What about Charlie Haas and Russ. No one complains about that.

That's different beast.

He isn't pretending to be russ like Stevie is to being crash

Russ was never on WWE television. I am sure OVW or HWA or whoever had a tribute towards him.

And Choken, after Russ's death, Charlie changed his in ring name to R.C. Haas to pay tribute to his brother. Stevie hasn't become "Crash Richards" or anything, he's just paying tribute to a friend and entertaining the crowd.

How is this Heidenreich's fault? Just because he's a hoss, he's automagically at fault, I take it. An Electric Chair Drop is a move that depends on the guy taking it. Stevie either fell back wrong or didn't care where his head went.

Crash's death has been all over their site. Just because there wasn't a cheesy 10 second reel with a voice over from Vince, doesn't mean their not honouring him.

Get the fuck over it for Christ's sake.

Or else John pushed back on Stevie's legs too hard, or dropped back too soon and Stevie didn't have time to adjust.

A note on Stevie Richards from Raw last night. When Heidenreich dropped him, he didn't really get him extended, and Stevie landed on his neck, rather than back. The ref immediately put up the X sign to the back and went to a quick finish. Trainer and Doctor came out, and were checking Stevie for a neck injury, including checking his ability to grip things with his hands. A stretcher (Real medics) came down, but, eventually they fitted Stevie with a Cervical Collar and helped him walk up the ramp....obviously upset and in pain.

A couple other notes. They used different pryo for Shawn Michaels than they usually do, and it just about smoked us out of the arena. We couldn't see about 1/2 of the main event as the smoke was too thick. The fight in the stands was right behind me at the time as well...some guy and girl trying to go at it. They were being detained by police when we left.

When Flair got caught up in the ropes, the crack of his nose was audible throughout the arena. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he really did break his nose.

Attendance was probably 6-7,000...a lot of area on the camera side tarped off. WWE didn't do a real good job of getting crowd noise on TV, I watched the tape last night when I got home, and it was much louder in the arena than it appeared on TV. They also failed to do anything to make sure the crowd was live. I attended two Nitro's at the E Center, and, WCW always made an effort to have David Penzer keep people going, and, let them know when they were coming out of a commercial break...WWE never let anyone know what was going on, and, a couple of times it was hard to tell....still, much better than the house shows they've run through here in the last 4 years.

There's an untalented rookie and a solid veteran in the ring. Solid veteran is injured during the match. Who's at fault 99% of the time? This wasn't exactly a tough thing to figure out, I can't believe some people defended Heindenrich.

So, I guess it was rookie Droz's fault when D'Lo paralyzed him? Or maybe that's the fabled 1%. I don't want to argue situations here, but none of the reports from fans in attendance have had a clear cut description of WHO'S fault it was. And they won't because none of them were in the ring.

They've both said it was both their faults.

Ok it's all over the site but, they haven't said it once on TV and it not to much to ask for a small 10 bell thing.

And by the way I'm over it I was just stating a reason why Stevie may be doing it. That's all. So get off your high horse.

WWE's recent track record in dealing with death has not been that good, let's face it...they don't bother to mention Crash, they keep Stevie off TV, and tomorrow night Austin drags Owen's corpse through the mud. Great company.

Here's an update from 1Bob

For those who wondered about Ric Flair’s injury last night, it ended up that he only suffered a cut nose and lip. It appeared that he hit the ropes with such force that he could have broken his nose, but he didn’t.

Steven Richards sprained his shoulder taking the finisher from John Heidenreich last night. He isn’t expected to be out any long period of time with the injury.

That's good for Flair. I thought it was broken with the way he hit the ropes and the blood shooting from his nose.
