I have heard that there is unrest in the streets. I fear this will get out of hand, as the leaders of the NAACP and the Coalition For a Just Cincinnati use this to focus their hatred of the police and white people.

 

I have seen the complete video with audio. I find nothing wrong with the policemen's actions. They followed the rules established by the CFJC. Yet the CFJC is saying this was another lynching. However they are not focusing on the racist remarks shouted by Jones. They are not focusing on the fact that Jones attacked two cops and had a violent struggle against being restrained. This man had two children he neglected. He has been arrested on drug charges before. They are not focusing on his health and that he had PCP and cocaine in his blood. Jones' actions caused his death. But the police are being blamed. How has it come to this? That, the scum of the Earth are somehow celebrated and the police are demonized. Politics? You bet!! And they will use hatred to get what they want. Forget reason!!

The NAACP has said they would like there to be a look into what is acceptable force. Those FEW idiots from the Coalition For a Just Cincinnati (when a huge amount numbering FOUR started a rawkus) are being dismissed as idiots.

 

The Citizen Complaint Authority hasn't really raised a peep(I think this is who you mean helped set up the provisions and rules when it comes to acceptable force) since the video showing what happened. The mayor of the City outright said there is nothing wrong with it. ONE insignificant group is shouting yet the news makes it seems like its about to be riot town.

 

Believe me, if a riot does come about, it will be because someone saw a plasma TV they really REALLY wanted, not because anyone is on lardos side.

Just a side note here: University of Cincinnati star and NBA legend Oscar Robertson has weighed in on this. He heard a local talk show host speaking on this matter in favor of the police and has refused to do an interview with the radio station where the host works.

 

He normally keeps a very low profile. A person of his reputation (excellent) can only cause more problems here, although there's no way it escalates to the riot level as before with T. Thomas.

 

The media has tried to make this into a rodney king deal, but I think they've failed. I checked the network news last night and none of them led with and only CBS mentioned it in the 1st 15 minutes, and they showed experts backing the police. This thing is fizzling out.

I agree Swift, it is settling down now. I think this shows what the NAACP, CFJC, and Jesse Jackson are really all about. Making statements of lynching and calling for state and federal investigations. They jumped the gun, hoping to polarize the community again. The local media showed the beating, but not what lead up to the altercation. You just know they were hoping for a public reaction, for ratings. But, things sure are quiet now. I guess they don't have a case.
