The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 Markkanen better be in for the third then. And the skaters better be ON. I don't need this crap.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 Oh, I'm not saying it's Conklin's fault. I still would've put in Markannen, just because with Markannen, the Oilers play defensive hockey. With Conklin, they play like he's the new Grant Fuhr.
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 4-2. Hope?

The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 5-2. Now watch the Devils make a triumphant 3-goal rally in the playoffs just to really kick me in the balls.
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 And Canada will only go 5 for 6.
Brush with Greatness 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 Let me get the East straight... 1. T-Bay 106 pts (clinched) 2. Toronto 103 pts 44 wins (no games) 3. Jersey 100 pts - 42 wins (1 game v. Boston) 4. Ottawa 102 pts - 43 wins (no games) 5. Boston 102 pts - 40 wins (1 game v. Jersey) 6. Philadelphia 100 pts 40 wins(1 game v. Islanders) 7. Habs 93 pts (no games) 8. Islanders 90 pts (1 game v. Philly) Wow, the possibilities that still exist with two big games remaining. IF Bos wins in regulation and Phi wins or ties (which leads to the matchups I think a lot of people want) Tampa v. Islanders Boston v. Habs Philly v. Jersey Toronto v. Ottawa If Bos wins and Philly loses or if NJ gets a point in OT and Philly ties than the matchups are the same with the exception being Jersey gets home ice in the Phi-NJ series. Now, thats the easy part. If NJ wins and Philly wins Tampa v. Islanders Toronto v. Montreal Jersey v. Boston Ottawa v. Philly If NJ wins and Philly loses or ties Tampa v. Islanders Toronto v. Montreal Jersey v. Philly Ottawa v. Boston However, if Bos were to get a single point in a loss in either scenario. Same goes if Bos v. NJ is a tie game and Philly loses or ties Tampa v. Islanders Toronto v. Montreal Jersey v. Philly Boston v. Ottawa Okay, I'm sure a fucked up somewhere or missed something there so feel free to fix any errors I made. Brush with Greatness 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 The West is a bit easier as the six of the eight spots are locked in (including the top four) 1. Detroit 2. San Jose 3. Vancouver 4. Colorado 5. Dallas/Calgary 6. Calgary/Dallas 7. St. Louis 8. Nashville So the matchups here are... If Dallas wins or ties and Calgary loses or ties Detroit v. Nashville San Jose v. St. Louis Vancouver v. Calgary Colorado v. Dallas If Dallas loses or ties and Calgary wins Detroit v. Nashville San Jose v. St. Louis Vancouver v. Dallas Colorado v. Calgary

I don't know about you guys, but I'm pretty excited about this.
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 This shall mark the first time EVER that I root for the Detroit Red Wings. Sweep Nashville! Likewise, Dallas or Calgary better sweep Vancouver, because it's their fault Nashville is in.
Slingshot Suplex 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 I'm kinda glad the Preds are in. I'm gonna try to get to one of the games whereas I couldn't have done that in Edmonton.

New York Islanders Let the Battle of Ontario MMIV commence!! Bolts over Isles B's or Habs? Who do I like? I'll pick Habs, I want to see #25 if this is the end for a while. So totally Flyers over Devils, so bad. Sens over Leafs
nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 1. Tampa vs. 8. NYI - the Isles played the Bolts tough this year, but I just can't see Tampa lose in the first round after playing so well all season. Tampa in 5 2. Boston vs. 7. Montreal - Yes, I will fully admit that I'm biased ... but if Thornton is healthy and Raycroft plays as well as he did all season, there's no way the Habs upset the B's again. Boston in 5 3. Philly vs. 6. New Jersey - Philly's annual goaltending problems cause them to lose to the Devils. Jersey in 6. 4. Toronto vs 5. Ottawa - Easily the hardest one for me to call. It all depends on which goalie is the healthiest; if Lalime isn't 100% or if Belfour has any back issues, their team is sunk. My only prediction is that this goes 7 games and the winning team is too spent to muster much in the second round. I can't choose a winner yet. I'll try to do the Western Conf later, but it might not happen until tomorrow.
