Hulk Hogan once again would not commit to any dates, and his knee legitimately is in bad shape right now. While nobody said anything about this publicly, TNA officials had been expecting this to happen for at least a week. On the television show tonight, Mike Tenay announced that Hogan's knee has not responded to treatment and that he is not taking any foreign or domestic dates. Anyways, let's assume it IS going to happen in may or June. Can we really stand to sit around for SIX OR SEVEN more months of Jimmy Hart talking about Hulk Hogan and Jeff Jarrett beating everyone in a buildup to Hogan's return? Mantell has been handicapped since day 1 with the task of building a show around a Hogan-Jarrett feud, which didn't draw shit in WCW in the first place. Nobody on earth wants to see this match. Even TNA fans who support the Hogan move support it because they want Hogan to bring in more fans who would then see the TNA product, they don't actually want to see Hogan. Because of this whole ordeal, AJ has been sent packing (as of tonight) back to the X Division, the undercard has no direction, storylines like Raven/Gathering are being dealth with in half-assed style, and basically everyone on the show outside of Jarrett is being treated like second-class. Over the past month and a half, TNA has done more to devalue itself than it did at any point in the first year. It's time to abandon the Hogan thing for now, and build around Styles as the champ again for a while. Do a ladder match or something in 2 weeks because Styles got screwed. Hell, just stop centering the entire damn show around Jarrett....if you took Jarrett off the show tomorrow, the show would not lose any buys. The guy just sucks the good out of TNA.

What really gets me, is that they knew this BEFORE the title match last night and STILL put JJ over! What the fuck ? You going to leave the belt on him for six months and have Jimmy Fucking Hart, the very definition of hasbeen, running around like something out of the eighties, blithering on about an angle from WCW that NO-ONE gives two fucks about ? Idiots. NWATNA have assembled a roster capable of delivering an hour and a half a week of good to fucking great in-ring action, they need to get their act to-fucking-gether. Right now, it's Thunder-lite and there's simply no excuse for that, especially now that they have to come to terms that Hogan isn't coming anywhere near the Fairground.

I totally understand if your main selling point (Hogan) can't make the PPV, so then you postpone it. But the fact that Hogan looks like he's doing his usual politics shit. So in other words, either find another way to do this ppv without Hogan, or cancel it all together. They are starting to look real bad now because of this and the only reason is because of a fucking guy that doesn't even work for their company. HOGAN is a fucking jackoff......

What about the bullshit Jericho/Christian "Bet" angle that killed the Jericho/Trish relationship (even though I agree with most that it was getting a little too sappy and Jericho's better off on his own as a heel anyway), Mick Foley being a shitty co-GM, the WWE style still in effect, hosses like Mark Henry, Nathan Jones, etc. being pushed? If anything, all of this shows that WWE and TNA are both still doing shitty booking.

With it put off until May/June, there is no way they can hold the fans' interest with him going over everybody. Jeff will let Raven or AJ win the title and keep it warm until they have a set ppv date at which point he'll win it back and be ready to defend against Hogan. As for Dutch Mantel, I think he sucks. I watched IWA-PR from about August until he left and thought it was crap. They were doing the tired old authority figure vs top wrestler nonsense like everyone else. The authority figure in this case was Savio Vega. The crowd loved it. This must be something new in Puerto Rico because the crowd loved it. So basically, he made his name by turning around an organization that wasn't doing good by using an idea used here a few years ago. It worked in PR. It won't work here.

To pick out what they did with Jericho and Christian just shows you're looking for reasons to attack it. 2. A ppv deal would put ROH out of business. Do you people who say those kind of things have any clue whatsoever about the business side of things? Do you know how much it costs to put on a live ppv show? Do you know how long until the company gets paid for the buys? Do you think they'd get anything more than a few thousand buys? Companies (and this just doesn't apply to wrestling) that grow too fast die fast.

Everyone knew this business plan wouldn't work, because here's the fundamental problem: You can't build things for future shows, and still deliver a great can't miss show every week, because you have to get people to buy every show.

There should be at least one 15-20 minute match with good workers weekly. That pretty much sums up what TNA is doing wrong. ROH is in a similar boat as TNA. They make most of their profits off of video tape sales. People won't buy a tape if it is just a "building show". The solution to that is to have at least one blow off match or feature match per show that will draw people into purchasing the tape. As you long as you always have one or more big features per show, people will pay to see it, and the undercard can be used to continue feuds. ROH has that pattern down pretty well, but TNA hasn't seemed to pick up on it. Most weeks are just "building" shows with a "big show" every once in a while. They need to try to work it out so they have one blow off or special attraction match per show that will get people on line to buy. As for Hogan, I don't know weather or not his knee injury is as bad as he says, but I would be shocked if this Pay Per View ever happens. It really says something about TNA when they continually push back a big event and build the top feud around a guy who has yet to even appear on the show. You would think that if they are doing as good as they claim, that after a year and a half they would have built at least a couple wrestlers/matches that could carry a 3 Hour PPV without having to rely on an outsider.

Also, every 3 or so weeks they should have a match go 20-25 minutes.....because they can. I remember when they were getting off the ground, Jarrett and Lynn (who's that?) were on all these radio shows and stuff saying - "we don't have commercials. We're not bound by schedules. We can have matches go long, deliver quality wrestling, etc." But if it's not a long built main event, their matches never go longer than 15. What would happen if one week Lo Ki and Daniels went 25 minutes? People on the net would be pissed they missed it. That's what they need to do. Instead, we have to watch people who are identified by the color shirt they're wearing.

During this time, Hogan gets better and when he's good and ready, both Hogan and Hart come in to attack Jarrett.

Then Tna will re-sign him and he'll win the belt. I've been a Hogan-mark since I was three, and while I don't agree with a lot of the things he says or does you have to admit.......... The man is fucking smart And I know I'll get killed for this comment, but hell, I'll be on vacation tomorrow, But I think he should go over who he's facing a wrestlemania, just because he's main-evented more of those things than anyone else
