Guest Report post Posted December 13, 2003 I'll say the only ones that don't belong are Kane, JYD, and Ken Patera. Owen, Davey, and because Gorilla was mostly an announcer lets go with Bobby Heenan.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2003 WHY is JUNKYARD DOG on this list??? Hey, say what you want about his skills, but JYD was HUGELY over. He was probably their #2 face in 1984-85.
Guest Report post Posted December 13, 2003 Good point, but others deserve it more and thats what I was taking into consideration.

Gorilla was in more matches than anyone on the active roster, except MAYBE Ric Flair (and I don't even think he has as many as Gorilla).

Guest Frank_Nabbit Report post Posted December 13, 2003 Patera was a top contender against 2-4 different baby face WWWF - WWF champions (Bruno? Pedro? Backlund Hulk) Plus he and Big John Studd were a top level team fueding with Andre/Hogan and company....Plus he was the 2nd IC champ ever
deancoles 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2003 Benoit and Dynamite Kid should be on there.
The Mandarin 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2003 Personally, I think the following should be out: Gorilla Monsoon (great announcer, but he just seems misplaced) Pat Patterson (not too spectacular in the ring) And, when you think about it, Ted Dibiase didn't do THAT much in WWE. I mean, he was big in '84, but that's about it Another ignorant jackass Ask Bill Watts where Dibiase was in 84 And go watch Patterson matches from before 1998 *groans* Whoops, I combined the 1980's with WrestleMania 4. So instead of saying '88 (when Dibiase was pretty big), I messed up. And whatever you say on Patterson. I'm sure you know better than I do.

Guest Frank_Nabbit Report post Posted December 13, 2003 Anyone have an excuse for KK Bundy to be on the list... and is that David "Black balled" Schultz on the bottom row of the cover? 4th in...or is it Patera? I don't think its Bobby Duncum....
Guest JMA Report post Posted December 13, 2003 Ugh. I can't believe the Ultimate Warrior is on that list. Fun fact: Nathan Jones and Jim Hellwig were both trained by the same man (Rick Bassman).
Guest Frank_Nabbit Report post Posted December 13, 2003 Warrior was an IC and World champ - and a draw on some level from 1988-1991, and then in 92,and 96 again... He , Hogan, Savage were the big 3 of the late 80's

He , Hogan, Savage were the big 3 of the late 80's I'm well aware of that. But the man was a horrible wrestler, a dick backstage, did incoherant promos, and recently said he was glad Rick Rude died. Guest Frank_Nabbit Report post Posted December 13, 2003 Benoit and Dynamite Kid should be on there. Beniot could be argued TNT Kid was too spotty (appearence in WWF wise) in 1982... The Bulldogs were awfully good from 85-88, but based on what DBS did afterward i think he should appear on the list before TNT Kid

Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2003 Ignorant fool... Unlesss you know the old timers your opiniom means jack Problem is that almost all the old-timers I know is from NWA and some indies. Also, I wasn't putting them down, I'm just saying I don't know who they are. That has no bearing on whether they're qualified to be on the list, it just means I'm not going to be the judge. Ultra Violence 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2003 LOOK PEOPLE - IF YOU STARTED WATCHING WRESTLING WHEN "SUCK IT" WAS A FRESH TERM THEN YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS IN THIS THREAD /MY OPINION! 1) Fuck off and die 2) Stop Intentionally Double Posting 3) During the attitude era was when many people on this board began watching wrestling. It doesn't mean they have no aquired knowledge of events previous to that. Most people would have been too young to comprehend what was going on, we're not all 56 year old peadophiles who only post on this board to indulge their fantasies of being "flamed" by younger posters. Surely Benoit should be on this list..... Instead of Kane or any of the others who shouldn't be there, he is one of the greatest technical wrestlers ever. Furthermore it could be argued that Goldberg should be on that list, I don't paticularly like him but people in the past saw Goldberg vs Austin as a dream match. Personally i'm glad Jericho was included as he is one of the greatest wrestlers ever to grace the WW(f)E. Also Ultimo Dragon is a strong candidate for inclusion although he hasn't been booked well in WWE he should be there due to what he has achieved during his career. This isn't a lifetime achievement award -- remember, it's the top 50 WWF/E superstars ever, not the 50 greatest wrestlers ever. If Angle doesn't belong on the list (as many are arguing), then Benoit certainly doesn't, as he's accomplished less in his WWE career than Angle in the same amount of time. 3) During the attitude era was when many people on this board began watching wrestling. Where are these people of whom you speak? When people start posting without having a clue that Gorilla Monsoon was ever a wrestler, or not knowing who people like Bobo Brazil or Haystacks Calhoun were, we make certain assumptions. The Metal Maniac 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2003 Benoit's never been a World champ in the fed (which is all that matters to the fed), nor has he ever been at the top of the card for any length of time. To backtrack...someone said that HBK didn't belong on the list. Justify that, please. Also, I think that Razor does belong, because he's like, THE Intercontinental champion. He had some pretty decent feuds over it with some pretty good people, and this was when that belt mattered. And Anglesault, thanks...I had forgotten that Angle and Benoit had won the tag belts. But somehow, I'm not surprised that YOU corrected me...

MooreMark 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2003 I don't get the Yokozuna hate. I don't remember a bigger heel then him in 1993. He was a great big man and got som great big man matches done. See WM10. He had numerous heat filled matches, that may have lacked what smarks like but the fans enjoyed it. Plus he is a 2 time World Champ and has main evented 2 wrestlemanias. Yokozuna definatly should be on this list.
