Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2003 Best Original Song: "The Heart of Every Girl" (Mona Lisa Smile, music by Elton John, lyrics by Bernie Taupin "Into the West," (The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King), music & lyrics by Howard Shore, Fran Walsh and Annie Lennox "Man of the Hour" (Big Fish), music & lyrics by Eddie Vedder "Time Enough for Tears" (In America), music & lyrics by Bono, Gavin Friday and Maurice Seezer "You Will Be My Ain True Love" (Cold Mountain), music & lyrics by Sting Awesome, but w/ Elton & Sting each having songs, I'd be shocked if it won. MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2003 CSI or 24 for best TV Drama, and I think Kiefer Sutherland would win the award if it were the MVA award (Most Valuable Actor) but its not. Hes probably #3 on the list best actor wise although I'd put him ahead of William Petersen from CSI.
Ravenbomb 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2003 hey, how come Kill Bill didn't get any music nominations? The music was great in that movie.
Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2003 Why the hell wasn't The Shield up for best drama? Season 2 might have been even better then season 1 If I am not mistaken...It wasn't a part of "this" season... Yet the lead actor is up for an emmy.

I admit Nip/Tuck is awesome, but dammit, The Shield has senority! ,,, ... Yeah, I know that doesn't matter, but it should be some sort of determination factor IMO. Other than that I like the noms this year, except that BAD SANTA~! wasn't given a nod for best comedy. Fuck Love Actually. At least BBT got mentioned though. That said, good luck to Monk, CSI, 24, Arrested Development, LOTR, Translation, and Finding Nemo. May your greatness help you win for something.
DMann2003 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2003 Okay where's the title song for "School of Rock"? It better get an Oscar nomination. What would be cooler to see on Oscar night than Jack Black and a bunch of 12 year olds rocking out!
Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2003 hey, how come Kill Bill didn't get any music nominations? The music was great in that movie. Almost none of the music in Kill Bill was original/composed strictly for the film. Can't nominate it otherwise.

Guest The Midnight Rocking Warrior Report post Posted December 22, 2003 Well, this is the same academy that gave Jack Nicholson a nomination for Best actor in a comedy or musical for Batman ( The best batman movie of all-time, even if he was a little long in the tooth), so Johnny Depp's nomination doesn't really suprise me. Even though I want Depp to win, he'll most likely finish in second place, behind Bill Murray
