Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted December 18, 2003 Report Posted December 18, 2003 Not sure if this has been posted yet or not. In the Holiday 2003 issue of Raw magazine, I came across something interesting in "The Informer" section. It says the following: "From the executive floor, we've received WORD that Eric Bischoff believes that he has developed a new PROTOTYPE for success on Raw. We're not quite sure of the details, but Bischoff says he'd bet his LIFE that a deal can be done." This is probably nothing more than something made up to fill his page with, but I figured it was probably worth noting, just incase.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted December 18, 2003 Report Posted December 18, 2003 John Cena was called Prototype in OVW, hence they subtle clue.
2GOLD Posted December 18, 2003 Report Posted December 18, 2003 If it happens, it's easy to see why Triple H needs another face he can destory and the later time slot and the fact that it is on cable might allow Cena some leighway with his raps Personally though, I don't want him within 10 miles of RAW. The thought of Cena feuding with Orton over the IC title just makes me ill.
Lord of The Curry Posted December 18, 2003 Report Posted December 18, 2003 Cena vs Orton? *Imagines all the dropkicks and hiptosses* Dear lord.........
Guest Max Peter David Posted December 18, 2003 Report Posted December 18, 2003 Cena sucks in the ring, and rules on the mic, so.... Raw it is.
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted December 18, 2003 Report Posted December 18, 2003 Matt Hardy? No... Cena was called Protoype in OVW, and also the "word life" hint... it's Cena.
razazteca Posted December 19, 2003 Report Posted December 19, 2003 You are thinking too hard. Can't you see, that the new prototype is the focus more on drama and cliffhangers on Raw, which will get more female fans!?!?!
Tawren Posted December 19, 2003 Report Posted December 19, 2003 Matt Hardy? No... Cena was called Protoype in OVW, and also the "word life" hint... it's Cena. I don't think you got it.
Lil' Bitch Posted December 19, 2003 Report Posted December 19, 2003 I never believe the Informer anyway. Most of the time he's full of shit. I'm quite happy with Cena going after the US title again.
Guest Ray Posted December 19, 2003 Report Posted December 19, 2003 Cena sucks in the ring, and rules on the mic Well said.

CanadianChick Posted December 19, 2003 Report Posted December 19, 2003 You are thinking too hard. Can't you see, that the new prototype is the focus more on drama and cliffhangers on Raw, which will get more female fans!?!?! Well I know all my friends watch Raw all the time! It's like the only thing they ever talk about alll week! And it's all thanks to this love romance angle! Wait a minute...
Youth N Asia Posted December 19, 2003 Report Posted December 19, 2003 99% of that magazine stuff never happens. I realized that when I was buying them in 98-99
The Kid Posted December 19, 2003 Report Posted December 19, 2003 "That Cena kid uh...is getting too popular..uh...put him on my show and I'll uh...help him out Vince uh make him a star uh."
Red Baron Posted December 19, 2003 Report Posted December 19, 2003 nope. He's not minimum HOSS requirement
Chazz Posted December 19, 2003 Report Posted December 19, 2003 I always thought Cena's act would be better suited for The Raw atmosphere anyways. I.E. more focus on Entertainment than Sport. However If Cena does jump to Raw, RVD should jump to Smackdown! to balance It all out.

Guest Goodear Posted December 19, 2003 Report Posted December 19, 2003 Yeah because who wouldn't want to take one of the actual over acts on Smackdown and move it over to the other show? The 'wrestling' show is crap right now other than Brock Lesnar's angles and people want to move Cena? It defies description.
haVoc Posted December 19, 2003 Report Posted December 19, 2003 Discussing rumors from "The Informer?" So much for being "Smart Marks."
DerangedHermit Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 Discussing rumors from "The Informer?" So much for being "Smart Marks." Even the dumbest marks know that the Informer was bullshit. If he ever got anything right, it must've been through sheer luck (because, god forbid the WWF/WWE has ever booked ahead of time for the past 5 years).
claydude14 Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 He predicted the return of the nWo.
deancoles Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 And he predicted HBK returning to the ring 3 years before it happened!
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 And he predicted HBK returning to the ring 3 years before it happened! He also predicted no one liked X-Pac at WWF New York.
jester Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 of course, there'd be even LESS reason to watch Raw then.... Mixxmaster, your sig rules.
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 No, John Cena is great both in the ring and on the mic. Gimmick aside, he is much like Shawn Michaels. He is a breed apart. There's just something about him...
King Cucaracha Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 No, John Cena is great both in the ring and on the mic. Gimmick aside, he is much like Shawn Michaels. He is a breed apart. There's just something about him... Let's not go nuts... Cena is average in the ring. He can work a brawl, and he can put on good matches with the right opponents. He'd fit in on Raw, but there's no-one to put him over on Raw apart from The Rock, and this speculation is based on a kayfabed magazine article from a 'writer' who's 'gimmick' is clearly a dig at Internet reports who claim to have 'insider' knowledge.
