DCMaximo Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 When Shawn Michaels debuted in the WWF, no-one thought he would be world champion. Likewise with Bret Hart, Mick Foley, Steve Austin. All guys who debuted in the midcard and worked their way to the title. With this in mind, I wanted to probe the mind of the TSM regulars and ask who you tip as a future world champion from the midcard or below (ie, not someone like Chris Benoit or Eddie Guerrero, who are currently upper-midcarders) Personally, I'd go for Charlie Haas. While he is generally considered the weak link of the team and the one less likely to get a singles push, people thought the same about Shawn Michaels and Matt Hardy and look how they compared to their tag partners. Also, Haas is still a talented wrestler, he's WWE homegrown, he's got a killer finisher (the Haas of Pain RULES) and, as cynical as it sounds, I can just see Vince using Russ Haas' death in an attempt to gain fan sympathy for Haas. He's good on the mic and only getting better, so my vote goes to Charlie. And you guys think???
Guest NewYorkFox Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Rob Conway. I dunno why, buit I can see him getting a God push in a few years time. Also, I can see Teddy Hart getting a run with the belt for some strange reason...
ChrisMWaters Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 ^ ...ugh...seriousness please. Anyway...I'd like to think that someone like Rob Conway, after breaking away from La Res, has a chance at the title.
NYU Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 I suppose Randy Orton being a future World Champ is a no-brainer
razazteca Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 When the Cruiserweights run wild Matt Hardy for IC champ and RVD for Raw champ then have a series of matches to see who is the TRUE champion of Raw. Throw in a title for title, hair, cage matches. Tag Team madness Storm & Morely (any gimmick but porn) vs Dudleys vs Stevie Richards & Tommy Dreamer
Guest Coffey Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 I can see Conway & Dupree as main eventers in the future. Probably Maven too.
razazteca Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Maven vs Orton will be next years Survivor Series main event.
ChrisMWaters Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 I can see Conway & Dupree as main eventers in the future. Probably Maven too. Maven for World Heavyweight Champion! He's already held a similar belt...even if it was shattered and put as a new title...
claydude14 Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 RAW- Garrison Cade Smackdown!- Orlando Jordan (Jordan is going to be HUGE).
2GOLD Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Batista I can see, just something is there I don't see in Randy. Plus the WWE love of the hoss.
Guest Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Dupree has at least 20 years left, so that's my pick.
Guest Breetai Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Both Hass and Benjamin. Given the right push they could be what Angle SHOULD have been.
DerangedHermit Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 (edited) I actually like Batista (his mic work is surprisingly decent -- better than Randy Orton, he shows room for improvement wrestling-wise, and he's got the look). Other future champions: Edge (depends how he comes back) Rob Conway Charlie Haas or Shelton Benjamin (either one could) maybe Orlando Jordan somebody we haven't heard of yet Farthest these superstars will go: Spanky: IC or US at most Paul London: Cruiser or Tag Team A-Train: IC or US Rene Dupree: IC or US Matt Hardy: World or WWE Champion (maybe in 3-4 years) Shannon Moore: Cruiser or Tag Team John Cena: OBVIOUS future WWE or World champion Christian: World or WWE Champion (see Matt Hardy) Rodney Mack: IC or US Batista: WWE or World Champion Randy Orton: short transitional WWE or World Champion Edited December 23, 2003 by DerangedHermit
razazteca Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Randy Orton will get a Ronnie Garvin title reign.
Cuban Linx Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Shane McMahon = Future world champion.
razazteca Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 PML (Pauly McMahon Leverque) the love child of HHH & Stephanie. This will be the ultimate 2nd gen blue chipper.
ChrisMWaters Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 PML (Pauly McMahon Leverque) the love child of HHH & Stephanie. This will be the ultimate 2nd gen blue chipper. Until he jobs to Nick Hogan, that is.
Red Baron Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 I don't know, but if a certain gimmick worked well with Rhyno, then he could be world champion
Kizzo Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 (edited) RAW - Randy Orton Smackdown - It should be Orlando Jordan....but since he's black it probaly want happen... I say John Cena Thanks for the correction.. Edited December 23, 2003 by Kizzo
ChrisMWaters Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Smackdown - It should be Orlando Jones....but since he's black it probaly want happen... When did actor Orlando Jones become a wrestler.... Oh, you mean Orlando JORDAN. (Sorry, had to do it)
Boner Kawanger Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 PML (Pauly McMahon Leverque) the love child of HHH & Stephanie. This will be the ultimate 2nd gen blue chipper. Until he jobs to Nick Hogan, that is. That's "Nasty Nick" to you, brother. As for future champions, Cena and Orton are the obvious and I know I'm not alone in hoping for future singles greatness from TWGTT.
Kizzo Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 As for future champions, Cena and Orton are the obvious and I know I'm not alone in hoping for future singles greatness from TWGTT. Both members of TWFTT are great stars...and will make it as good single competitors in the near future...but we all know who will have the most sucess out of the group...
Masked Man of Mystery Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 I;m guessing we'll see that Joh Heiden-whatever and Matt Morgan with the World belts before long. Not to mention the rotting corpse of Andre the Giant. And all before Ultimo Dragon gets a cruiser belt shot(and yes, I am giving up hope on tha, at least until the WWE shows me otherwise)
Adam Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 I can see it now, Fathers and Sons COLLIDE! David Flair vs. Ric Flair Nick Hogan vs. Hulk Hogan Paul McMahon/Levesque vs. Triple H
Guest JMA Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 John Cena Rob Conway Rene Dupree Shelton Benjamin Charlie Haas Randy Orton I feel these guys are pretty safe bets.
Guest Brian Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 On a serious note, I'll go with Cena. He's the only one with as much appeal to them.
ChrisMWaters Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 I can see it now, Fathers and Sons COLLIDE! David Flair vs. Ric Flair Nick Hogan vs. Hulk Hogan Paul McMahon/Levesque vs. Triple H The first on that list has happened already. REID Flair, mabye. ...now I'm picturing main events of Nick Hogan and Reid Flair.
Lil' Bitch Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Edge John Cena Matt Hardy Rico - At least to be IC Champion anyway
