Buff Bagwell (RAW) Of course your opinions may vary... Aside from Micheals/Taker, all three choices are crap. Jerry Estrada, Heavy Metal & Fuerza Guerrera v. Perro Aguayo, Canek & Hector Garza from Royal Rumble 1997 is miles worse than Hogan/Piper. The tag match was GREAT, but MOTY? Ahead of Austin/Angle, Rock/Jericho, Austin/Benoit, Austin/Rock, Austin/HHH, Benoit/Jericho and others? And Booker/Bagwell was THE BEST MATCH ON THAT RAW! It was just so high profile (first WCW match) that people remembered it. But alas, those are old topics.

Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2003 The Rumble was the first WWE PPV I'd bought since KOTR '02, and it didn't really disappoint, what with Benoit/Angle on it and all. Kinda sad though when Dawn / Torrie > HHH / Steiner 1. Wrestlemania XIX 2. Royal Rumble 3. Vengeance 4. Survivor Series 5. Judgment Day 6. Summerslam 7. No Mercy 8. No Way Out 9. Armageddon 10. Unforgiven 11. Bad Blood 12. Backlash This guys got it Backlash wasn't great, I wouldn't go that far though.

Tawren 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2003 I'm seeing lots of hatred for No Way Out, but the handicap match alone should bump that past ass-ranchers like Bad Blood or Armaggedon.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted December 24, 2003 Three straight -* matches nullifies any good NWO might have done and that Handicap match wasn't much to write home about... Armageddon and Backlash was just BLAND. Bad Blood was bad as they come...

I get bad vibes from that match because Edge had to be taken out due to his neck injury and that was the match where Angle initially hurt his neck.

Steiner entertaining.

Tawren 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2003 But Unforgiven sucked a dick with 0 good matches. Bad Blood had good matches I wouldn't go that far. Flair/HBK seems to be the consensus for best match, but that was all over the place in and once the table spot happened, it turned suck-tastic. Maybe **-**1/2, certainly not "good", but "decent". Bad Blood > Unforgiven, though.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted December 24, 2003 I kinda liked Shane/Kane from Unforgiven......since I'm a Kane mark. DAMN MCMAHON! HE RUINED HIM AGAIN! Plus there was uh...HBK/Orton....and.....OK the PPV sucked. I forgot what I ranked it too. OY I think at #9. PRetty sad I thought three shows were WORSE. bob_barron 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2003 I watched Flair v. HBK again and it was quite good- the table spot comes towards the end so I don't think it takes away from the match too much. Goldberg v. Y2J and Nash v. HHH were also good matches

Goldberg v. Y2J and Nash v. HHH were also good matches I guess I'll have to go re-watch it, then. Last time I watched the show (about a month ago), I felt the same as I did when it first aired. Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2003 (edited) But Unforgiven sucked a dick with 0 good matches. Bad Blood had good matches I agree about Jericho / Goldberg and Michaels / Flair at Bad Blood. But Nash / HHH was probably the 2nd worst HIAC I have ever seen. Unforgiven, I did enjoy Dudleyz / Frenchies, Michaels / Orton despiste the usual Michaels finish, Shane / Kane and even Goldberg / HHH (Although the SSeries rematch blew it out of the water) which I all thought were pretty decent. Its basically the short matches, the shitty endings, and the mind numbing Triathalon that went all night that made Bad Blood such a horrible PPV, it was like watching an awful episode of RAW. Guest Ray Report post Posted December 24, 2003 Except Michaels *didn't* do that. Orton's performance was good. Drop the anti-Orton bias, people. It's lame.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted December 24, 2003 Orton has one major flaw.....he's too OVW. By that I mena too boring. Cena got away with it with his good mic skills. Brock got away with it for looking like a tough m'fer. Benjamin/Haas have amatuer background and can wrestle decent mat matches. Orton has bland mic skills, a bland move-set, and can't make a match interesting.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted December 25, 2003 Orton v. HBK was okay- but WAY too long. HBK also should not have kicked out of the RKO and the finish was lame. I wouldn't call the match "good".
