1234-5678 Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 This is an excerpt from an interview Dave Scherer did with Eric Bischoff in April 2000. Dave Scherer: You mentioned Chris Benoit, which leads to my next question very well actually. The talent level in WCW over the last year, you've taken some hits on some younger guys, Chris Benoit, Eddy Guerrero, Chris Jericho, The Big Show ... Eric Bischoff: You know, the truth is Eddy Guerrero is 47 years old. I don't think it's fair to put him as a young guy. He looks really good, but he's 47, I think he'll be 48 in the fall. He's the Dick Clark of wrestling. Did Eddie really turn 50 this year? That's gotta be ridiculous, right?
OldSchoolWrestling Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Everything I have read has him born in either 67 or 68 so I'm thinking this is inaccurate.
ChrisMWaters Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 No, it was just Bisch being either an ass or a moron. Eddie's birthday is October 9, 1968
Guest Douche Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Eddy's 36. I'm so shocked Bischoff doesn't know the age of one of his best wrestlers. Benoit and Jericho aren't much farther off.
Sonic Reducer Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Maybe Bischoff was kidding. Duh.
1234-5678 Posted December 23, 2003 Author Report Posted December 23, 2003 Maybe Bischoff was kidding. Duh. Don't you remember what a dick he was back then? He was being his typical douchebag self, trying to bury someone from the other company.
Sonic Reducer Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Well yeah, he was quite the cock, but that doesn't mean he couldn't joke around about the situation.
Betty Houle Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Don't you remember what a dick he was back then? No, I hadn't met him at that point in time.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 I believe Eddy is like 34 or 35. Chris Benoit is atleast 36. He's older than Guerrero. Jericho is maybe like 31 or 32.
CanadianChick Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Jericho just turned 33. I think I might have read that Benoit is 37, could be wrong though. And Eddie is between them in age.
Guest Jimbo Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 eh, ther really isn't muhc left to say about his age, is there, so I pose this question: how much longer do you think Eddie will continue wrestling? I figure 3-4 more years, or untill he gets fed up with the WWE/WWE can't think of any other ways to hold him back in the midcard where upon he can go around do all the dream matches he wants and tour about in Mexico and Japan....
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 What rules is Eddy's birthday is a day after mine
Sonic Reducer Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Oh well. They're all still gods in the ring, regardless of age.
Mystery Eskimo Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 Benoit is 36. I remember looking it up earlier in the year when some idiot was saying you could tell Benoit was using steroids because he was losing his hair...
Guest Ray Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 Chris Benoit-------May 21, 1967 Eddie Guerrero---October 9, 1968 Chris Jericho------November 9, 1970
Lil' Bitch Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 What rules is Eddy's birthday is a day after mine Oh yeah, well I share my birth date with Christian.

DerangedHermit Posted December 25, 2003 Report Posted December 25, 2003 Jim Cornette: 42 Wow. He's surprisingly young. I thought he'd be reaching at least the upper 40's.
