Guest Anglesault Report post Posted December 30, 2003 weren't "idiots", just trying to get away from The Man. They did steal the car, after all. So, they stole a car, started a police chase, and put Lord knows how many people in danger and THEY'RE the victims?
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2003 Jesus christ. I hate some people. That's just absurd...and trying to blame the fucking cop? WHAT DID HE DO!? Now if he'd sped up and fishtailed them while they were going 90 then there might be a case. But he didn't do anything! They saw the cop and got scared. They'd be alive(in a lot of trouble but alive) if they'd just pulled over!
BX 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2003 They weren't "rich suburban cocksuckers" they were a bunch of black kids from the PJs. Which makes it less stupid? Wait. Did you just copy Cerebus's response verbatim? And I never said they were the victims. I guess you were "reading between the lines". It was obviously an accident. I'd imagine if you stole a car, you'd run from the po-po's too, Salt.

Guest Anglesault Report post Posted December 30, 2003 Well yes, if I happened to steal a car and started driving at 100 mph, I'd probably run from the cop too. Doesn't change that I made my own bed.

BX 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2003 Right. All I'm saying is this shouldn't have happened in the first place, but I'm not throwing the idiot label around. An idiot would stick his head between concrete and a closing garage door just "to see what it was like". Or those kids who stick their arms out of bus windows. Dumbasses. Guest Ghettoman Report post Posted December 30, 2003 Obviously not while with a parent, it was just one of those dumb things you did when you were young. I don't understand why people make the jump to labeling them idiots in life when we all learn from our mistakes, and using it to justify them all losing there lives is just dumb in itself. BX 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2003 Here's the thing. Everyone on this board, and dare I say the planet, seems to think everyone else is stupid EXCEPT for them. That makes for some really fun arguments, and the aformentioned throwing around of terms like "idiot", "dumbasses", and so forth. Besides, since there was seven kids in that car, that raises the question, "Was there any room for anyone to use their seat belt?"
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted December 30, 2003 Right. All I'm saying is this shouldn't have happened in the first place, but I'm not throwing the idiot label around. kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2003 Here's the thing. Everyone on this board, and dare I say the planet, seems to think everyone else is stupid EXCEPT for them. I am the first to admit I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but if I were in place of one of those seven teens I would not have gone into that car. I'll make sure to have my better half start a thread here stating my reason for death and you all can go "hahahaha he stuck a metal knife in the toaster -- what a dumb ass!" or something like that. In the meantime, I will continue to pass judgment on those whose existence on this planet was cut short by their own poor decisions...
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted December 30, 2003 You seem to think that driving 80 mph on a North Carolina highway is unusual. Okay, driving 80 and weaving in and out of the lanes.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2003 Since I never did it, I'll f'n say it You steal a car and then you speed over 90 miles an hour then you are stupid and deserve to die. If you go over 90 without the selt belt, then you deserve to die. If you get in the car that you know is stolen, you made your bed if you die so you are stupid and deserved it. I'm tired of this "well maybe one of them.." No, they got in the car and the car was going well over 80 and apparently weaving in and out of lanes. Stupid, dead, good. And what makes me SICK is a lawsuit will be filed and a bunch of morons on a jury will just see a group of "kids" and let the parents win. Why? Because 95% of the country is full of people who are dumber than the kids in the car. And of those of you who ever DID steal a car to joyride? Don't you think soon after "That was one of the stupidest things I have ever done." They were stupid, they lost control, they died. Goodnight, bury the bodies and I'll drive home safely. sfaJack 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2003 You seem to think that driving 80 mph on a North Carolina highway is unusual. It may not be unusual, but it's still idiotic. There is NO reason to drive that fast, EVER, for ANYBODY. Why the hell do you ever need to go that fast (outside some life-threatening/emergency situation, obviously)? I can't feel sorry for these kids. It's their own dumbass fault.
Skywarp! 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2003 It's really about patience. When I'm going between Philly and New York, a 2-hour car trip, I easily hit 80 m.p.h. on the Jersey Turnpike. But then, that's the speed where I feel comfortable (ok, maybe more like 75 m.p.h.). It doesn't make me foolish; if I felt like I was losing control of the vehicle, I'd slow down, and I never take a sharp curve incredibly fast. Of course, I'm much older than 15, so I have a lot more driving experience. I think BX's point is this: everyone as a teenager made dumb decisions and mistakes. It's part of learning when growing up. Granted, none of us did exactly THIS when teenagers, but the point is that most of the time (when the mistake isn't of the life-threatening nature) we learn from our usually non-lethal mistakes. Just because we did dumb things as teenagers doesn't exactly mean we're dumb adults. For most people anyway. The kids in this topic may just be a special case, however. We'll just never know.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2003 And our point is they are dumb. And you just admitted, they were acting like dumb teenagers. So therefore, they are dumb by default. They don't get the chance to be smart adults cause they couldn't survive being a dumb teenager.

Guest Smues Report post Posted December 31, 2003 I won't shed any tears for these kids. Sure it's always tragic when something like this happens, but they brought it on themselves. Did they deserve it? I'm not qualified to judge, but they did bring it on themselves. And if the cops get in ANY trouble, our country is fucked up. (More than I already thought)
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted December 31, 2003 They still got what was coming to them, and I'll piss on their graves before sheding a tear. If I'm in a car with ANYONE who goes over 65, I tell them to slow a down a bit, because I'm not gonna fucking die for them. I wear a seatbelt all the time, and usually remind everyone else to wear them. So really, whos fault was it? The Kids, who are retards, or us for not giving half-a-Orton. Damaramu 0 Report post Posted December 31, 2003 Didn't someone say the car was reported stolen a few hours after the accident? How fitting. "Yeah you can use my car!" "Dude did you hear!?
