DangerousDamon Posted December 30, 2003 Report Posted December 30, 2003 I totally forgot how Orton and Batista joined up with Flair and HHH.
CanadianChris Posted December 30, 2003 Report Posted December 30, 2003 The first time they formed the group, HHH, Orton, and Batista jumped Scott Steiner durning a Batista/Steiner match (after Royal Rumble, but before No Way Out). Then Orton and Batista injured themselves and they forgot about it. The second time, Orton ran in under a hood to a HHH vs. Flair/Michaels handicap match (where Flair turned on Michaels) to reform 3/4 of the group, then Batista came back to collect the bounty on Goldberg during that angle to completely reform the group.
Styles Posted December 30, 2003 Report Posted December 30, 2003 Yeah, there was never any elaborate angle, they just kind of morphed together. I know Flair just all of a sudden started managing Batista for a few weeks with no explanation given, and since Flair was alligned with HHH, now Batista was too, and then when Orton jumped Steiner he joined the group. The first time they declared themselves as Evolution was on Febuary 3rd RAW from DC, when HHH cut a promo about Evolution while me and my buddies in the 3rd row (off camera side) chanted "YOU'RE NOT FLAIR!" the whole time while HHH spoke. HHH was staring right at me when he said "if you end up one day in a hospital bed...Evolution has just passed you by..." and gave me a death stare for a good minute after they went to break! It was awesome. Orton kept looking over and smirking. I don't think Flair knew what to do, but he kept trying to do heel mannerisms to endorse HHH. It was awesome, I'll always remember pissing off HHH while he was trying to cut a serious promo. It was even mentioned briefly in that week's Observer which was cool.
2GOLD Posted December 31, 2003 Report Posted December 31, 2003 Yeah, Orton came back as the Gimp. And still today, he's taking it from behind from Triple H.
EdwardKnoxII Posted December 31, 2003 Report Posted December 31, 2003 And Trips doesn't even give Orton a reach around.

LMAO...I'm suprised HHH didn't have you ejected for ruining his concentration. Battista was also being managed by Flair once he switched over to Raw, while Flair was also advising HHH. Orton later joined up with them in the original version.

Thank you for making such a great moment in WWE history that I will never forget.
Anya Posted December 31, 2003 Report Posted December 31, 2003 Ric managed Batista because Dave had a rough childhood and dead parents or whatever and Ric saw himself in Batista or something.
RavishingRickRudo Posted December 31, 2003 Report Posted December 31, 2003 Well, I heard Batista brought the Alcohol and Orton brought the Vaseline.
