Drury37 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2004 Anyways......I continue my winning streak bringing it up to 16. I faced off against Notre Dame and ended up winning 38-7. Funny thing to....my QB has his worst game of the season so far. He ends up only completing about 25% of his passes....I mean he throws for 244 yds and 3 TDs but that's mainly b/c my WR is so good.....but he had so many passes that he just threw out into double coverage or overthrew or whatever. Plus he threw his first 2 INTs of the season......so I'm thinking....."Oh great...if those perfect games before didn't help him then this game isn't going to do shit for him." Guess what? He's now in the Heisman running....this game never ceases to amaze me. Was it a home game or at ND? Thanks. It was a home game. My QB has these weird moods where he's hot then he absolutely sucks. I have that with my quarterback and then when my quarterback gets on a real role he will get injured and be out for like 4 weeks. Thanks.

Ok.....now I feel like you're thanking me for injuring your QB. But in all seriousness.......my team reminds me of the old Raiders and Giants....why? Because my defense is just MEAN. I mean these guys would tackle their own mother if she had the football. I injure about 4 of the other teams players a game. I'm always in the QB and Recievers face's and when they do catch a pass I make them pay for it. I love that........
phoenixrising 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2004 How do you sub without doing a mass sub? Because sometimes my QB becomes a loose cannon and tosses into triple man coverage. And I have to much trouble throwing the ball myself. I need a smarter QB next season. Pause the game, go to Coaching Strategies and then Depth Chart. Select the guy you want in and put him in the #1 slot. I do this with my backs to give my starter a rest or put in a change of pace back. Or in the case of my dynasty, I put in the other QB. I actually started Fowler against Washington State and threw for 300 yards and three scores and ran for one, so I'm going to keep him as the starter for now. You could go into Formation Sub and put different guys into different formations, but then I get confused about who's where. About all I use it for now is to put my best linebacker in the Dime and Nickel formations if he isn't there already.

lomasmoney 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2004 Yea, Texas A&M is a great team to use if you rotate qb's. I run McNeal out of the two back sets and I bring in long for the shotgun and spread formations. The only thing you have to be careful of is not making it obvious when you are passing or running. You might have to run some passes out of the I-Slot and I-Tight to mix it up and then go spread-ace and run a counter or a draw just to confuse the defense
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2004 Well I started to play a game against Boston College last night but I realized that I didn't have enough time because I needed some sleep. So I just decided to screw around and do nothing but Hail Mary's for the next few minutes.....it actually worked.....lol. Then my Tight End got injured for 9 weeks so I turned it off and didn't save. Today when I have time I'll play a serious game against BC. It's BC then Bowling Green and then I'm done with my non-conference for this season.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2004 Well I just got done slapping Boston College around. I was up at the half like 34 to nothing and then they tried to make a comeback scoring a long TD in the 3rd quarter. I went 3 and out on my next play and got worried that they may actually be coming alive. Well I forced them to go 3 and out and they punted and I returned the punt for a TD. That put me up 41-7......I subbed in the second team....they scored another TD and that's all she wrote.....I win 41-14. Next game is my last non-conference game and it's against Bowling Green. Der Kommissar 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2004 I am playing on All-American myself. I am not doing that bad in my game. I started up a dynasty with Furman. After two years in the independents, I replaced Temple in the Big East. I won the Insight Bowl over Washington St. in my third year, then took the National title in my fourth year with a victory over USC. I stopped playing the game for a bit after that, returned, and decided that I was bored with Furman and quit halfway through my fifth year, continuing on the dynasty as I signed on with a new team. Now I am with Middle Tennessee State. I dominated in the sea of mediocrity that was the Sun Belt Conference in my first year, going undefeated, and winning the New Orleans Bowl over South Florida. And now I am in Conference USA. Not a bad place to be as TCU has been a top team for years, and Louisville just won the national title the year before. Unfortunately, I didn't face TCU. I did get Louisville, as I took their offensive player of the year out to the woodshed in a satisfying 41-0 thrashing. Now, I get to face Air Force in the national title game. The top defense vs. the top rushing offense. Their passing offense sucks, so I have to look forward to a lot of rushes. My defense thrives on sacking the QB, and leading my opponent into making costly interceptions. I usually can contain the run, but I know I will be facing a tough challenge with this running back. I really don't want to have to rely too much on my mediocre offense, especially since the last time I faced a Mountain West team, I ended up putting my CB as my quarterback because my QB's were just that bad. Sadly, my CB dominated, even doing something my other QB's couldn't do...throw a TD pass. Too bad he didn't hook up with my backup MLB/starting OLB/third TE. Ah well. It's Conference USA vs Mountain West in the Rose Bowl for the National title! Too bad that will never happen in real life, as I think that could be a hilarious scenario. Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2004 I noticed that Air Force always seems to get REALLY REALLY good after a few years. Either them or some other strange team that you would never expect.
lomasmoney 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2004 so does north texas and colorado state. On a side note, does anyone think that its unfair for me to be miami of oh vs texas. My buddy says i cant get a team with a qb above 90. So i get Colorado State and beat him with 30 and he has Oklahoma.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2004 Oklahoma takes a dive in this game for some reason. I think it's because it was made before Jason White had a great season so they just went off the knee injuries and didn't make him to great. But anyways................. I continued against Bowling Green and I absolutely bitch slapped them. 49-0. Now my QB and my WR are in the running for the Heisman.
Der Kommissar 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2004 I can't see why it would be that too unfair. Miami may have a strong QB, but I am sure they would have other weaknesses on their team. Besides, it seems as if you hammered him anyway, so I don't think it would have made too much of a difference. I won my game rather easily against Air Force. It looked like they would be an immense challenge at the beginning, as they marched down the field for a TD. My offense followed in kind, and, on the ensuing kickoff, their top running back went down with an injury. At that point, my team just routed them, 59-13. Confusing game. Their offense was good, but they just couldn't score. They would always come close and get stopped. My third backup qb just routed them after replacing my injured starter, throwing for over 300 yards. I just wish their starting runner hadn't gotten injured. It would have otherwise been a fun shootout, I am guessing. I rewarded my offense for their superb effort by cutting a lot of them in the offseason. I overrecruited and gained a ton of new offense. I was only looking to sign one new QB, but then I get three. I have to decide which one to start between an 81 overall pocket passer or a 77 overall scrambler. I am thinking I will try the scrambler and redshirt the other guy. I haven't had a scrambling QB in years, and I have two more pocket passers(an overall 74 recruit with good potential and my third backup from the year before.) just in case I suck ass at scrambling. I always kind of hate when my team gets too good. It sucks the fun out of it when I know I can just skip 90% of the season, and still probably go undefeated, especially with this conference schedule. Then again, I get to face my former team this year(or what's left of it). Thus far without me, they took a bizarre loss to woeful Wyoming. Wyoming shouldn't have even been in their league, but they pulled out a 36-33 upset victory. Last season, they were 7-5 and lost in the San Francisco Bowl to Indiana. I look forward to hammering them.

Damaramu 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2004 Thanks for........? Anyways I have begun my conference season. Jesus this game gives me no respect. I'm still on my hot winning streak and I won the National Title last year and SI's cover says "Ohio State is our pick to win the Big Ten!!!" Idiots....everyone one of them. So I came out and bitchslapped the Indiana Hoosiers 28-7. So then I go to take on Iowa and those bastards decided to get froggy on me. They looked to be coming back in the second half with 2 picks of my QB and finally a TD. But they went for 2 and failed. The game ended up 28-6. The thing wasn't that I was worried about their offense.....their defense was all over me. My QB was intercepted twice and my HB and FB fumbled several times. Plus they had my men covered like sharks and I completed something like 6/30 passes. And my QB was called the best QB in the country! Jesus! Also does anyone else notice that if you're pulling out a shut-out on the other team that their offense seems to start making a super man comeback? Anyways.....so I continue my season and my QB and WR's Heisman hopes just took a dive.

phoenixrising 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2004 Has anyone completed the BYU Vs. SMU College Classic? That thing is rediculously hard. Thanks. I completed it. You have to be really good against the run and good with your onside kicks. I've also noticed that SMU seems to fumble often when they have the ball, so even if you don't get the onside kick you still have a shot. On offense, try to score on one play, just go for the endzone.

Damaramu 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2004 Well my Dynasty continues as I just won my 21st in a row with a stomping over Minnesota. I ended up winning 30-0. However I was passed over in the BCS ranking for Ohio State as #1 and me as #2. Son's of bitches.....and my record is 8-0 and OSU's is 6-0.....WTF? Man my QB started off the season HOT but now he's making terrible decisions and sucking at just about everything.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2004 I wonder if it's possible to have a split National Title in this game? Because as it is right now there are 9 undefeated teams midway through the season. Someone needs to drop off. Also I just laid an absolute beatdown on Illinois 42-0......and I'm still #2 in the BCS and Coaches and #4 in the AP! DAMN YOU ALL! Oh well my next game is against #18 Purdue.....I should be able to move up if I defeat them.
TheDevilAndGodAreRagingInsideMe 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2004 2003-2008 (Current Season) USC 2 National Titles 5 Pac-10 Titles 4 BCS Bowl Titles 2 Heisman 2 Maxwell 3 Best OL 1 Best WR, Bednarick, Best QB, Best RB 2008 Rutgers 1-1, (2-2 overall) I just created a second coach and took over Rutgers. With one win, I jumped from National Rank #99 to #78. USC is unstoppable, winning last year's NC and 7 individual awards. Rutgers is so piss-poor that they have basically no home crowd and there are no announcers for the games.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2004 Ha! I thought I may have trouble with Purdue but I came out and whipped major ass. I recovered 2 fumbles, and had 3 INTS all leading to a 55-0 win. The saddest thing was that their offense was sucking early and never recovered. Even the announcers were shocked at how badly they were choking and how great I was jumping on the wounded animal. Then I finish the game and go to next week thinking about the SI cover saying something like "Michigan is THE team!" or something cool and it says "More Lucky than Good?" and goes on about how I'm lucky that the BCS is there to make me #2 and the stupid Coaches have me at #4 and they say the BCS is saving my ass. Fuck you SI! God I swear.......and what am I going to have to do to be #1? I mean like Oklahoma in real life was #1 in ALL the preseason polls and #1 throughout the season until they lost to KSU.....so umm........when am I going to get that treatment!? It might, going for two makes it 45-27...score again and go for two makes it 45-35, then you'd only need a TD and extra point, and you'd have the option to kick a field goal to tie (all games go into OT regardless of if there was OT when they played or not). Or go for two on all three scores, it makes it 51-45, either way you have to score three times. I prefer to stick with the extra points, unless you're not paying attention or they get blocked (very rare) you always get the one, while you might get the two point conversions about half the time.
