Giuseppe Zangara Posted September 14, 2005 Report Posted September 14, 2005 Oh, I liked him on that one Newsradio episode.
Spaceman Spiff Posted September 14, 2005 Report Posted September 14, 2005 Which episode? Where he played Jimmy's nephew, or where he was in Dave's old barbershop quartet?
The Czech Republic Posted September 14, 2005 Report Posted September 14, 2005 I can't find it in me to hate Mr. Show.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted September 14, 2005 Report Posted September 14, 2005 Which episode? Where he played Jimmy's nephew, or where he was in Dave's old barbershop quartet? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't remember the former, so the latter.
the max Posted September 16, 2005 Report Posted September 16, 2005 In the former he played Jimmy's nephew Theo, a magician and depressed motivational speaker.
Spaceman Spiff Posted September 16, 2005 Report Posted September 16, 2005 Yep. He & Beth had an afternoon-long affair after Jimmy pressed a reluctant Theo into performing a trick. Also in this episode, Joe filled in on air for Catherine while she was sick, and does such a great job that Bill keeps trying to mess him up.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted September 16, 2005 Report Posted September 16, 2005 I remember the Joe/Bill subplot, but absolutely nothing else. Which is weird, as I thought I only blocked the final season Lovitz episodes from my mind. Not that I disliked Jon Lovitz on the show, mind you. I thought he was fine; it's just the show itself got very spotty at the end.
SuperJerk Posted September 17, 2005 Report Posted September 17, 2005 David Cross is great on AD, but I've hated him in just about everything else he's done, Mr. Show included. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Blasphemy. The 3rd season of Mr. Show was hillarity incarnate.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted September 17, 2005 Report Posted September 17, 2005 "Hate" is a strong word, one I usually reserve for Family Guy. I don't actually hate Mr. Show; I just don't think it's funny. The handful of episodes I've seen illicited nothing more than a smirk.
Nighthawk Posted September 17, 2005 Report Posted September 17, 2005 It's over your head. That's what I say every time somebody doesn't like it. But that's ok, because everybody else likes Family Guy too. Funniest show ever: Get A Life. A lot of people hate that. I'm used to it.
Slayer Posted September 17, 2005 Report Posted September 17, 2005 I remember loving GAL during it's original run, but I've never seen it since then (when I was a scant 11-12 years old) and so I don't know how I'd respond to it now
Giuseppe Zangara Posted September 17, 2005 Report Posted September 17, 2005 Get a Life hasn't aged well. I still like it, mostly, but I enjoy it nowhere near as much as I once did.
Guest Joshua A. Norton Posted October 23, 2005 Report Posted October 23, 2005 Joshua A. Norton please.
Carnival Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 It's time. Time to shorten the name. Carnival please...thank you
The Czech Republic Posted October 28, 2005 Report Posted October 28, 2005 IT CAME?!?!? IT REALLY CAME??? Oh you did this for me, didn't you, stud.
Carnival Posted October 28, 2005 Report Posted October 28, 2005 Well way to ruin the surprise. But yes, this whole I've been building up to a name change, and when the time was right, POW! And yes it was for you Czech, if they ever actual get around to changing my name.
Big Ol' Smitty Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 Joey Joe Joe Junior Shabadoo Thanks!
SuperJerk Posted December 15, 2005 Report Posted December 15, 2005 The first couple of times I requested my username change from "Y2Jerk" to "Mister Jerk" got no-sold. Now, it could be a case of mods just not giving a shit, or not checking their PMS, or just thinking that the username "Mister Jerk" sucks ass...thus wanting no part of it. Well, if it was the third reason...I totally understand. Damn it, does this new username ever suck ass. After a couple of weeks I'm already sick of it. So, I'm asking, can someone please switch me back to Y2Jerk? I've learned my lesson. I'll never ask for another username change again. Come on, whaddaya say?
The Mandarin Posted December 15, 2005 Report Posted December 15, 2005 It should be "Mr. Jerk" rather than Mister. That's your problem.
Golgo 13 Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 Is it possible to change the A in my name to lowercase? I want that now.
Mole Posted December 30, 2005 Report Posted December 30, 2005 I'd like to change my name to 'Mole to the People' Thanks in advance.
Fuzzy Dunlop Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 I'd like to have my name changed to DopUssy
The Amazing Rando Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 Although I liked "Stroke Victim Jesus", DocOck might be better suited as "Cross-Eyed Jesus"
the max Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 I'd like to lose the capitalization of my name "The Max" and just be "the max". Thankee.
nl5xsk1 Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 How many variations of the original Max Power name have you had now, max?
the max Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 MaxPower27 MaxPower Max Power MaxSault The Max the max There are probably more, but I forget things. In a semi-related story, the Max Power episode was on my syndication a few days ago. The beginning was pretty funny, but once they got to the tree-hugger party, I lost interest. But I had forgotten how funny the episode was.
nl5xsk1 Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 The first 2/3 of that episode are comedic gold. The last third, not so much. (Although they do salvage it with the names that Homer suggests for Marge at the end).
