Scroby Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 Either way you look at it, this is Vince's final shot and nail in WCW's coffin. Unless its a awesome DVD that has good matches from WCW, then were gonna all miss WCW..well the good times of WCW anyways.
AndrewTS Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 Chris Benoit vs. Sid from Souled Out 2000 ***3/4 Benoit wins the title, then takes a walk. Just saw this match last night. Arn's interview and the buildup towards the match made me care more about the Big Gold Belt than any WWE title in years. It's also the only redeeming thing on the whole damn show. =) Excellent choice.
Jobber of the Week Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 Will this mark the first ever appearance of El Gigante on DVD? WM2000's history disc did, as there was about 3 seconds of the horrible Gigante/Taker match.
Guest Rob Van Dam Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 Russo won the world title on Nitro in that war games type triple cage match, when Goldberg speared him through the cage. The belt was on the top cage, so the wrestlers had to climb up to the third cage, climb down, and leave the cage with the belt to be declared the winner.

He was guarding the door, and when whomever from his team had the belt, I believe he handed it to Nash and he casually walked out of it. I really liked that match for whatever reason.
Guest Rob Van Dam Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 Ok, maybe I'm wrong, I do remember Goldberg spearing Russo threw the cage to the outside, I thought thats how Russo won the title

Think that Russo will get a good bit of blame as well for the death of WCW?

razazteca Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 The monster truck angles should be shown. Also the matches of Medussa vs Japanese women wrestlers, mainly the one about the motorcycles from Hog/Road Wild.
Corey_Lazarus Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 Russo won the WCW World title in a House of Pain match, which was essentially an enclosed cage with a door on top that you used a ladder to climb out of, and then you had to climb off of the roof of the cage. Goldberg speared Russo through the cage, and thus gave Russo the win, as the rules were that whoever was the first person to exit the cage would win the World title.
Guest Guybrush Threepwood Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 The extras were anounced on Silvervision.co.uk and they are:- 86 minutes of the matches and events that changed the face of sports-entertainment. Two matches from RAW: - Stone Cold Steve Austin & Shawn Michaels vs. British Bulldog & Owen Hart - Shawn Michaels & Triple H vs. Legion of Doom Two matches from NITRO: - Chris Benoit vs. Booker T - Goldberg vs. Hulk Hogan Plus more! I'm all for HBK/Austin v Bulldog/Owen, that fucking ruled. Also I think it's just 1 disc becuse the pre-order price is £13.99 which is the usual for 1 disc.
Use Your Illusion Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 Michaels/Austin vs Hart/Bulldog is my favourite RAW match of all-time. That shit is literally bell to bell non-stop action the entire match. What a time that was to be a wrestling fan. UYI
Slickster Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 The extras were anounced on Silvervision.co.uk and they are:- [F]rom NITRO: - Chris Benoit vs. Booker T Finally, the Benoit/Booker series gets some recognition!
Downhome Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 Woohoo, two of the things on this DVD I was there for. Goldberg/Hogan and the Fingerpoke of Doom!
