As much as I hate to say this, it's the truth. The regular WWE fan is not going to care which title shot Benoit is going after. They are just going to see him going after a title after winning the rumble and except it. And shit, I'M going to just accept it as it is. Do we really need to piss and moan about him not getting a shot at the specific WWE title? I'm much happier with him getting a shot at the World Heavyweight title, and a chance to headline the fucking WRESTLEMANIA XX, by far the most hyped Wrestlemania event EVER. That is, as Adam Sandler would say, "not too shabby".

It's no time for us to get greedy. I am so much happier with him in the position he's in now then some midcard match thrown together at the last minute.

But that kind of arguement is complacent. I want Benoit vs Lesnar which was or is being built up and I won't settle for anything else. Benoit vs HHH would most likely ruin Benoit vs Lesnar. This whole situation reeks of politics. I want Benoit to stay a Smackdown superstar.

Does anyone actually think that Benoit is really gonna beat HHH for the World Title simply because Lesnar is pretty much confirmed to retain the WWF Title against Goldberg? Remember, this is HHH we're talking about. We're talking about Vince McMahon's son-in-law, and Stephanie McMahon's husband. Plus, Benoit is not homegrown in the WWF. Benoit is from WCW. I'm sure HHH will definately think of some reason for Vince to let him go over, and let both heels retain, this year.

Vince McMahon's vision might be clouded but he's not a total dumbass. A face is going to main event WM and win the belt.

Not if it's Goldberg/Lesnar, which I don't see being anywhere but the last match.

Yes, Benoit has a shot to win because the WWE still likes to have faces win especailly on the "biggest" card ever. Plus by Benoit winning, he actually buries himself and HHH will only elevate himself. Will Benoit win? I'm not sure but I'm leaning towards yes if it happens. There are variables out there that makes it hard to tell but it does seem like Benoit's going to beat HHH. Either at Wrestlemania or in his hometown later on.

He has made no intention to win the WCW title. Why would he? It's retarded. Benoit deserves better.

Especially since he basically threw out that title to come to the WWF(E) 4 years ago.

I'm still thinking Cena is more likely.

Ditto.

Don't see it. It's possabe but I don't envision HHH wanting to wrestle Cena at the big event. HHH will want to have the best match possable especially at the grandaddy of them all. Some might say he's more worried about Cena getting too over so he'll want to wrestle him and try to bury him but I don't think so. It'd actually be a little tough to bury Cena right now and the WWE would have to centre a little bit more focus on him to get Cena ready as a threat for Mania.

Cena getting beat down week after week after week after week and HHH calling an audible and beating him at Mania wouldn't bury him?

Oh, Cena can be buried. I was just thinking along the lines of that Cena doesn't have as much to lose since the WWE has kind of stopped building him up right now. Benoit's got more to lose since he's being built up more and is now (not really before) featured more prominantly along with being in a higher position on the card than Cena. So, along these lines of thinking, more is to be gained by burying Benoit.

It is simple why they are pushing Benoit.

In no particular order,

1. He's a fresh face on top.

2. Supposedly Angle has been in Vince's ear about pushing Benoit as a legit main eventer.

3. HHH wants to work with Benoit.

4. Benoit chasing the title is the best title chasing story the company can put together right now(with Cena and Eddie as other options)since basically everyone else has been World Champ(and Booker T and RVD don't count because they are not top guys)

5. A possible hook to get Bret Hart in for Mania and/or Summerslam in Toronto.

6. They need to fill the SkyDome in Toronto for Summerslam so they figured they need to create a national hero in the process.

The top 2 matches at Mania will be the title matches. Lesnar is going over so they will not go on last. Benoit vs HHH will go on last and if the match happens(if Benoit wins the Rumble), Benoit will go over.

Most importantly, HHH is going away for a little after Mania to film HIS movie(the WWE films one). I expect a rematch at Backlash with Benoit going over again and Benoit holding the title until HHH wins it back over the summer, and Benoit moves on to Lesnar.

That is if Benoit wins the Rumble!

There's no way in hell Benoit/HHH will go on last at Mania. It would be a hastily thrown together feud with no "epic" drawing power and would not go on last at the biggest Wrestlemania of all time.

In fact, HHH/Benoit is such a weak storyline that I sincerely doubt it's gonna happen at all. The only way that Benoit gets a title shot at all is if it's against Brock, and it's on the undercard to an Austin/HHH or Austin/Goldberg main event.

I didn't know jobbing to HHH at Wrestlemania xx was considered a huge push, but i guess nowadays you take what you get.

HHH: Chris... your getting a big push you have the honour of jobbing to THE GAME!!!!!

Chris: But shouldn't I go over as the face in the WM20 main even?

HHH: ah ummmm.... STEPH! *poses, spits water*

Benoit and Cena entered the rumble together. I can easily seem them baiting-and-switching with all us focusing on Benoit while Cena sneaks through and takes it. They're keeping Cena "strong" by beating Albert, and I wouldn't be surprised to see that continue next week (say, vs. Matt Morgan), so he's just so far off the radar as to not say "Cena's winning" but he's just on enough so you can't say "Cena has no chance"

Besides, I think we all know the major reason for Cena vs. HHH...

After what happened at WM 16, I gave up on that tradition.

Do we even know for sure SS will be in Toronto?

Chris Benoit Could Be Moved To RAW

Details on this hot rumor...

Many backstage feel that WWE is gearing up to move Chris Benoit to the RAW brand following the Royal Rumble. Benoit is scheduled to work matches with Triple H at house shows following the Rumble and WWE may run a TV program with the two as well. Benoit is one of the favorites to win the Royal Rumble and get a big WrestleMania XX push in a program with Triple H. As has been reported, WWE is looking for ways to bring new faces to RAW to work with Triple H.

I think I saw this article a few days ago. Just replace the name "Chris Benoit" with "John Cena."

Face it, nobody knows at this point just WHO may be winning the Royal Rumble. Which is a great thing. But I have little doubt the winner will get spoiled before the PPV - these things have a tendency to happen....

Oh of course. I'm glad that there is many ways the Royal Rumble can go instead of knowing who the winner will be like the last few years.

Thing is if Benoit does go to RAW to face HHH you just know HHH is going over at WM. I wonder who backstage pushed for Benoit to go to RAW if it does happen.

So, if true, he won't get to face Brock, which would be the logical storyline. Additionally, he'll go to Raw to be fed to HHH. Maybe he'll get a token title run first (but end up jobbing it back to HHH).

Boy, that's gonna make for some good times around here.
