I'm personally guessing and hoping that it's a work. By the way, the thing that got Homicide's attention that you couldn't hear was a fan comparing him to New Jack. Though, since Nord was ripping off Brody, so I guess you could say he was kind of ripping off Brody, though Jimmy himself has said he's ripping off Nord.
