Molotov The Bear 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2004 Isnt J-ho supposed to be in that movie? Because I see no sign of her. Not like I care, but it's kinda funny.
Mik 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2004 She's in the trailer, plain as day. Twice, at least.
Guest Bottled Black Report post Posted January 17, 2004 Isn't she only in it for like 10 minutes?
The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2004 i heard she is there for the first half hour... Spoiler (Highlight to Read): then she dies and the rest of the movie is Ben dealing with her death

Guest Bottled Black Report post Posted January 17, 2004 From viewaskew.com Ben Affleck has applauded film bosses for ignoring his fiance Jennifer Lopez's part in new movie Jersey Girl - because she only appears for 15 minutes.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted January 17, 2004 It looks like a good movie, hopefully the majority of people who would be interested in it aren't petty idiots who won't go see the movie just because of Jennifer Lopez. Another thing...it looks like we can expect alot of bitching from so called Kevin Smith fan boys. It looks like something completely different from what is expected of him and I don't know if his so called fan boys will be able to deal.
Ravenbomb 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2004 trailers can be very misleading. Remember the Last House on the Left trailer? Way different from the movie.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2004 The movie will make 30 million, no more. I doesn't matter about the plot, the actors in it or what. It'll make 30 million. Also, getting Liv...that's an upgrade.

I'm a Kevin Smith fan, but I'm not bitching about Jersey Girl. I think it's stupid to bitch about a movie that I haven't seen yet.
Guest Ghettoman Report post Posted January 17, 2004 Looks like a good movie, difficult task though of having the two likable female leads.

Actually most Smith fans ARE looking forward to Jersey Girl on the grounds that since it's Smith's first "serious" film, it will supposedly finally make the mainstream media look at Smith as a "brilliant" film director. Ravenbomb 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2004 Agreed. His movies will start to do better.
SamoaRowe 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2004 About the J'Lo involvement, all I can say is THANK GOD her part isn't that big. Leading up to this, I was under the assumption that she was the female lead and I was imagining that movie audiences would view Kevin Smith's new movie as little more than "Gigli Part 2." Guest El Satanico Report post Posted January 18, 2004 Yeah, I know real fans of Kevin Smith won't have a problem with Jersey Girl. I was referring to his so called fan boys...you know fair weathered fans who will shit on it if it doesn't have Jay and Silent Bob. Also, I never put too much stock in trailers. I just try to get a feel of the movie and see if I'd be interested. I got a good vibe from Jersey Girl, so I'm interested in it. Trailers that make a movie look bad mislead me more often than trailers that make a movie look good.
jimmy no nose 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2004 Is the trailer any where for Windows Media Player or Real Player? Some thing has been wrong with my Quicktime for a long time, I can't see videos, just hear the audio. I wanted to see this trailer.
Mole 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2004 Plus it will help that the movie is PG-13, since all of his other movies were R.
bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2004 doesn't look half bad. I'm not really a fan of Kevin Smith normally. Also, the child actress, shockingly, doesn't suck (from what I see in the trailer).
art_vandelay 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2004 i heard she is there for the first half hour... Spoiler (Highlight to Read): then she dies and the rest of the movie is Ben dealing with her death I think a lot of people will like this movie based on this alone.
