the.weej 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2004 SWF LOCKDOWN - JANUARY 21st, 2004! LIVE FROM THE SOLD OUT ALLTEL ARENA IN NORTH LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS! (10:00pm Eastern, 7:00pm Pacific; check local listings for details) The SWF whisltes dixie as it hits the great state of Arkansas for SWF LOCKDOWN! After a most interesting STORM, with champion Danny Williams retaining and Wild & Dangerous finally climbing a tall, tall mountain by dethroning Judge Mental and Ejiro Fasaki for the tag team titles, things are sure to heat up with a bit of southern fried flavour for this show... THE CARD: MAIN EVENT Va'aiga vs The HVille Thugg Va'aiga is big and Maori and pissed off, especially after the Unnamed lost their chance at the tag team titles on Storm. However, no-one's really put in doubt what Va'aiga is truly aspiring for right now: Another shot at Danny Williams, who (to much growling and gnashing of teeth from Va'aiga), has proven to reign supreme to the Maori again with the ultimate victory. Meanwhile, the Hville Thugg is big and and black and pissed off, especially considering the ass kickings he's handed out recently. However, no-one's really put in doubt what Thugg is really aspiring to right now: A shot at the world title he lost oh-so long ago, and has not yet had a chance to reclaim. And so, on Lockdown, they fight... Rules: Standard singles match. Pinfall, submission, DQ and countout apply. Word Limit: 6000 Send To: Suicide King ICTV TITLE MATCH Charlie "Grappler" Matthews© vs Mike Van Siclen You win some, you lose some. Fortunately, for the Grappler, you win and lose the LESSER title. Of course, MVS and his fire are aiming to change that... and between his match with Thugg on the 7th and his long stewing bitterness with Tom Flesher appearing to come to a head, any big win Mike could pick up before that happens definitely couldn't hurt. Unless Grap pastes him here. Bearhug, anyone? Rules: Standard singles match. Pinfall, submission, DQ and countout apply. Word Limit: 5500 Send To: Grand Slam NO GRAVITY MATCH "The Superior One" Tom Flesher vs "The Sacred One" Andrew Blackwell© Seems like everyone wants a piece of Tom Flesher these days. He's accepted a challange for Clusterfuck, the same cruiserweight challange that Wildchild has, Mike Van Siclen apparently has him targetted... and yet, at the same time, Tom's been... obfuscasive about his own goals. Either way, he gets the same Clusterfuck prep match tonight, as he faces off against Andrew Blackwell, who mysteriously reappeared as Linchpin and won his US title back from Charlie Matthews! (I'd be more specific, but I just know it happened, now how it happened. ::shakes fist at Mark: Rules: No DQ, no countout, no pinfalls or submissions. First man to hit five non-consecuitive maneuvers off the top rope is the winner. Word Limit: 5000 Send To: realitycheck CRUISERWEIGHT RULES MATCH Wildchild vs Stryke At long, long last, Wildchild (/w partner Johnny Dangerous) are the world tag team champions! No rest for the weary, however, as an even bigger goal lies within Wildchild's grasp... or at least, he hopes so. According to the Mark Stevens, an "unprecidented opperutunity" that will "forever change the cruiserweight divsion of this compnay" lies ahead at Clusterfuck. All he has to do is beat Tom Flesher when he gets there. Easier said than done, sadly. In order to shape himself up for CF(har), Wildchild looks to some spotfest action against Stryke... Rules: 2/3 Falls, 20 count on the outside, IIRC. I'm not totally sure on these rules, so if someone would like to correct me if I'm wrong... Word Limit: 5000 Send To: Grand Slam HARDCORE TITLE MATCH Terry "Janus" Bailey© vs "Coyote" Coy West Say, what's this? We kick Lockdown off with Janus defending the HGC title, a not so surprising development... but what IS surprising is that new SWFer "Coyote" Coy West is getting the shot in lieu of John Duran! Either the commissioner was very impressed with Coy's tryouts, or he's really trying to stick it to John Duran... either way, the colourful redneck scores a title shot debut, in what should be a most... ah... interesting affair. Rules: What? Word Limit: 4500 Send To: realitycheck **PLUS!** With his first chance to to sit down and enjoy his belt since becoming world champion, will Danny Williams make an appearance to discuss about toppling Ejiro Fasaki--twice--and his recent victory over Michael Craven? Speaking of whom, what, if anything, does Craven have to say about his loss? And you can be sure the Unnamed probably aren't that happy about Duran NOT getting his shot this show... (Send all stuff to Grand Slam)
janusd 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2004 *scratches head* You know, I think the last time I had a straight singles match against Ejiro('s writer) was way back in the JL. *cracks knuckles* Y'all are going down now, boy!

Mr. S£im Citrus 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2004 Waitaminute... Stryke is a cruiserweight?
Golgo 13 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2004 He's 230. I don't recall what the WF's rules for cruiser classification are, but in some circles, 230 is acceptable.
the.weej 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2004 Well, the official Crusierweight limit is 225, but it's been fudged to 230 in the past, if the bookers wanted an excuse to book a match. Which pretty much explains this. -Z
Rawknight 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2004 Strict interpretation would be 220.7, but WCW and the WWF use 225 as a benchmark and UBER fudge it (Disco Inferno at 240ish was cruiserweight champeen)
HVilleThugg 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2004 Bitchin' card Z...very, very nice. I have been having a rough time as of late, in regards to my time to write matches...but things have slowed a little, and I will definitely have time to write this match...even if I have to invent time. This match with Va'aiga is a long time coming for me since he scored a legit upset against me when I was Bastion. So...Va'aiga...payback's a bitch! Da "mutha fucka" H PS - Damn short deadline... PPS - What up with the backwards posting? ME first?? Hmmm....
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2004 Well, Stryke used to be cruiserweight size, it figures i'd get a Cruiser Rules match against Wildchild as soon as i move away from the high-flying moveset i used to have. Work is going to be absolutely lethal for me this week, if i hope to get this done i better get started now.
the.weej 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2004 Thugg: The downward card formatting is actually the proper way to make cards on flyers and such. That's essnentially what I'm doing with my mine... giving it a program or advertisement-esque style. What can I say? I just got bored of the usual way of doing it. Pity the boards have no centering command. -Z
