I do agree with you, Jasmine SHOULD be going, but that's not how it ended up, and it's not the judges place to lecture America that they're "wrong"...

Man, why couldn't it be Fantasia.

 

Latoya is possibly the only one of the 4 whose CD I would buy, and now she's gone. Would anyone here actually pay to listen to original tracks by Fantasia, Diana or Jasmine?

 

Latoya could be a Whitney type performer. The rest of them are dead in the water.

Latoya was my fav to win it all...Jasmine was my second just cuz I don't like Fantasia or Diana.

Let me just say that I was ecstatic Jasmine didn't even get put in the Bottom 2 tonight. The judges really treated her terribly last night, to the point where she started crying on stage despite attempting to hold back the tears. At least tonight, she got SOME kind of validation for the verbal abuse the judges gave her before. You could tell that Simon, Randy, and Paula had this preexisting idea of who the Final 3 HAD to be. Hell, it was obvious that LaToya/Fantasia was the Dream Final 2 for them. I'm glad it didn't work out, because it was never more obvious than last night that they're trying to push this preexisting judgment on the voting crowd. Maybe next time, they'll actually let the audience decide who should go home, rather than tell them that a certain contestant should be packing their bags.

Well...you did hear all the LOUD, HARSH boos when they announced Jasmine was staying right? I hope that let her know something. Hell..she should have been gone..even Amy Adams was better then her :/. But evidently she's still here...and from the looks she was making..and all of her "crying" she must know she doesn't really belong there. Not to say she can't sing at all...but most of the others in the final 10 were better.

 

And so what if the judges treated her bad last night and made her cry? That's kind of the ponit of them..to criticize. Hell...they said worse stuff to John Stevens and Camille Velasco, and neither one of them had a little breakdown on stage. I dont know..I just think that results show sucked..and I don't see how, when if you call..it's always busy (Latoya/Fantasia) so how were they bottom two..

 

This show is gonna end up getting someone killed...literally . I personally know some people...who already and it's only been what? 30 minutes...would if they saw Jasmine on the street, attack/stab/kill whatever her...That's not good at all...but I dunno that's the kind of pressure and stuff they put on these people I guess...:/.

That's one of the biggest complaints from people...but the "rules" of the competition, says America gets to vote the best singer, and they get a deal..whatever. Fact is...when they don't vote for the best singer...then someone does have the right to say "wrong".

Well, the little credibility that this show had left just went down the toilet. First Jennifer, who was much better than 8-9 people in the top 12 gets cut at 7. Now Latoya get's tamyra'd at 4th. This is shit.

 

Lady China and Oinky better bring there A fucking games next week because when someone who fucking stole the show week after week leaves than there is a problem.

 

I could have bared with a Fantasia/Jasmine bottom 2 but as soon as Latoya got in, I knew she was gone.

 

I didn't give a shit about who won after Jennifer left but now it's sealed.

 

And the finale will be Fantasia and Diana.

I LIKE Jasmine, but she shouldn't be here. I have never come close to giving a shit about Diana outside of Latin week and my disdain for Fantasia has been documented here before. Let this be Idol's swan song.

The fact is this: the judges have the right to say "we disagree with the decision" but they do not have the right to tell America that they voted wrong, especially when you tell America to vote for whomever you want.

Which pretty much emphasizes the point that everyone knows - Jasmine is simply not mature enough to be able to handle something like American Idol. But by hammering that point home last night (and making it clear that they wanted Jasmine gone), they managed to create a sympathetic character whom people want to vote for because she seems so vulnerable.

 

Anyways, La Toya's a good person, and I see her more of an Anita Baker-ish singer, because she's a strong singer, but just doesn't have enough of that "diva" mentality to be a Whitney clone.

So at this point I'd probably root for Jasmine, because I can't stand the other two, and at the very least they can mold her into your standard teen pop star, an anti-Avril, if you will...

Latoya won a fan when she didn't puss out on Country week by singing a ballad. You think Fantasia would sing an up-tempo Garth Brooks song? I have no reason to watch this show anymore. Latoya handled it better than anyone else on there would have.

See, there's something going on, a bet or something backstage to see how long they can keep her on before America riots. Then they flood the audience with members of former Communist states, or WCW fans, you know, people used to being told when to cheer and boo. Then they flash a big "Applause" sign whenever "Donald on Helium" gets on stage.

 

But only the judges and producers are in on it.

 

The families of the contestants don't notice all the Cuban, Korean, and Eastern European conversations around them because obviously they are focused on their family members.

 

Then the people voting for who the judges say to vote for are really the low common denominator that they hoped to get to watch the show in the first place.

 

 

Ok, so I have too much time on my hands, point being, I cannot stand Fantasia.

 

I'm not a fan of Diana, but she sings a lot better than Fantasia.

 

And Jasmine has that sweet mellow voice that is drawing me to vote for her due to lack of options.

I believe that Seacrest was saying on Tuesday something to the effect of "if you want to see Jasmine here next week, get off your asses and start voting". There was nary a mention of whether you thought she was the best singer or not (which obviously she wasn't) but the implication was she needed to be "saved" and bah Gawd, you'd better do it. It's stuff like that that WILL affect the voting.

Well, you're right in that people vote for a "favourite", which I really don't agree with, but in this case it was a matter of Jasmine, Seacrest and the judges hitting just the right emotional chord and giving Jasmine the "pity" vote.

 

Of course, if the vote was for "least favourite" then Fantasia probably would've been 2nd or 3rd gone...

I personally thought Justin Guarini and Tamyra Gray were better than Kelly...and she was a tad on the chunky side, i wouldn't call her incredibly hot...but that's just me...but she WASN'T plastic so she has the edge over the piggy...

Actually, I don't think she is fat. But that outfit was rather unappealing on her. If anything, her body size seems fine by me. However, whoever decides to put her in outfits that are too tight should be fired immediately. Cause that look last night had me confused.

 

But her face is just not hitting the marks for me. Kelly was cute, her body was fine enough and while she wasn't amazing she was hot enough.
