WWE Releasing Cena DVD in March

Cena getting a DVD before Benoit or Jericho is just absolute bullshit.

Not really. John Cena's DVD would probably be more commercially successful than Benoit's or Jericho's. I hate to say that, trust me. But I think the release of a Cena DVD makes sound business sense.

I don't think it would be a better seller. A Benoit DVD for example, would get purchased by the regular WWE fan, "smart marks", and by a lot of people who don't watch the WWE any longer but are still Benoit fans. A Cena DVD would get purchased by the normal WWE fan, and probably very little else. Especially after the awesome Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels DVD's that have come out, it's impossible to do something like that with Cena. They would be best served to wait, at least until he gets his first Title Reign.

I tend to wonder if the same people in this saying that a Cena DVD would sell more then a Bret, Jericho or Benoit DVD are the same rubes who were saying that the Trish DVD was a smarter dvd business-wise then the others.

 

Cena can get a wrestling dvd when he learns to wrestle. Don't get me wrong, I dug his match w/ Benoit and Taker and his work against Rhyno last week was fine up until he hit the FU but come on, trying to justify this dvd makes people come off dumber then they already are.

Benoit will never get the massive Flair/Hogan style DVD you people are hoping for. He's just not high priority for them, obviously.

vs. Undertaker (Vengeance 03)

Plus he had a few other decent-good ones with Angle, Jericho and Benoit. The main problem is that he won very few of those matches, so why put them on *his* DVD?

It's way too early for a real Cena DVD. I'd rather they do something else, like maybe a best of Ultimo DVD since they apparently feel that Ultimo's wrestling days are behind him just like Ric nFlair. Whoops, sorry about that, this the WWE where they make the Twilight Zone seem logical

I spent three pages bitching about backslide because that's what it was, damnit. People tried to give it some fancy name and went as far as to say it made Angle look good, but in the end it was more or less a backslide.

The motherfucker has had one good match in the company. (vs Angle,***'s IMO, and that's generous)

 

While his pre match rhymes are nifty at times, I wouldn't pay any money for a fucking DVD about John Cena making a fucking rap song. He is ok for a pre match spiel, but he is not God's gift to hip hop and he is not as charismatic as people make him out to be.

 

My prediction: The Cena DVD will suck balls, whether it be about his wrestling or his rapping.
