cable box descramblers

Recommended Posts

How do descramblers work?

what cable company do you need to sign up with for it to work?

Can you just get the digital channels and use the cable box to get the other channels?

Can you just get any kind of cable box to descamble the channels?

These guys probably get more time then a rapist or murderer.

Most blackboxes die within 2-3 years, but my friends has been around for 10 years.

The first lesson...

Do not discuss such things in public. Anything that flys under the radar of legality must be kept on the downlow.

You can use google to find out info on what you're asking about.

The descrambler replaces your cable box when you use it. You don't need to be with a specific cable company, but you do need to have at least basic cable I believe.

You can not get digital channels. They're working on a digital converter, but the ones on EBay are bullshit and do not work at all.

With mine, when I do plug it in I get one PPV, HBO, Cinemax, and Showtime. It's not what it's cracked up to be, but when you watch WWE/TNA (though I do pay for TNA two weeks out of the month to at least sort of support them), it's very worth it.

Just about any cable box works, I can imagine. Get one on EBay from someone with a high feedback rating, and you should be good.

You guys never caught DFA. I was with Comcast, but now I've moved on to the wonderful world of DirecTV. I've gotten rid of all evidence so now I'm in da clear. My bill went from 105.98 per month for all the channels, to 78.99 for all the channels AND the Playboy Channel. Thank god for DirecTV.

I love my big old ugly C Band dish.

*pops some popcorn and gets ready for 24 in a few minutes*

I also have the minimal Directv package with Fox East/West and NBC East/West distants. I have to get CBS and ABC over the air but they come in pretty clear. I pay around $40 for it all which isn't bad. Also, even in the snow/ice we got last night I didn't lose my signal which would have pissed me off since I ordered the Rumble. I think total in the last year I've lost my directv signal maybe 4 times due to weather, and 1 of them was during the hurricane but we lost electricty shortly after so it didn't matter.

Yeah, I was thinking about going to the bank every month and robbing them of about $40 or so. Could any of you give me some details on how I can do this?

What weapon should I use? What should I say exactly?

Do they still even sell C-band satellites? Are those those HUGE ones? Don't they pick up a ridiculous amount of channels?

Yes, but you have to know what direction to point it in.

I just looked and there's some nifty charts online showing what direction = what feed:

Hey Rant, what if I told you we used to steal from a cable company OTHER than Comcast? See, we are hurting your competition!

Anyway, getting a cable descrambler now is just about pointless since most if not all cable companies are trying to force their bull digital cable. Which is overpriced and quite frankly, the reason I went to a dish to get more channels for less money than what cable was offering.

And I doubt a digital converter will be done for years. It just seems next to impossible and most of the ones that have been made last about a year or less.

Illegal for one thing. Prison time for another.

Also we do catch most of the little fucks who try this.

:D

How do you'll catch people using black boxes?

Basically, where I live...WHO DOESN'T have a black box? It is like the norm around here. Thanks to it, I have like almost 4 years worth of WWE PPVs.....sweet...

Yeah, I don't really understand how you catch most of the people doing it. Well, rather actually, how you know that you catch most of the people doing it.

Are there a very few amount of people that you are aware of that are doing it but you just can't catch them?

How do you know there is not a shitload of people doing it that you don't know about? I mean, if you knew about them wouldn't you then catch them?

We have various ways of auditing. Not to mention the lovely people who rat out each other.

People do get away with it but most don't. Same with stealing anything, some get away with it but most don't.

I just got a Digital Cable box now from CableVision... it's much more like a Satellite Box than the Digital Cable box I had from Comcast when I was in college.

This one has an access card. Now I can image the ufn you can have hacking that stuff. Not to mention how easy and trackable that probably is!

It seems like satellite pirating is a lot more popular than cable pirating.

At least it was at one time, it seemed like everybody who had satellite had a fixed card. I, myself, prefer to just suck it up and order what I want.
