Cumming himself is one of the misses. He comes across like a displaced Dublin club-kid on E and his stand-up routine suffers from poor timing and stilted delivery with an awful lot of time spent focused on his penis. Those who already love him are bound to find him cute and charming regardless.

Alan Cumming - Like..whoah. Those ponytails totally distracted me. So much, I had to watch it again [like I needed an excuse *hee*]. That last line about the coffee shops and hot wet stuff totally had me blushing and giggling like a 12-year old school girl. But in a good way!

 

Buddy Cole - Veeery funny! I don't watch Kids in the Hall, so this was the first time I saw him. I also found a pic of Alan and Buddy:

Betty - Umm..eww. Seriously, WTF,mate^^? Do we really need jokes about farm animals? Ugh. [*sniffle* I miss that 'End of the World' shockwave vid. It doesn't work anymore! *pout*]

Rene Hicks - A rascist/KKK joke. *yawn* All in all, not funny.

I've always thought that Elvira Kurt was pretty funny myself. That Clay/Gay Aiken joke was probably rather tired, but it's still funny. I think she had a CTV special if you can find that for download.

 

Alan Cumming was rather unfunny, but I suppose that standup isn't really his forte.

 

Jim David was funny. Showed why he's a regular on Tough Crowd.

 

Haven't seen Scott Thompson's skit yet, but Kids in the Hall stuff tends to be one of two things - funny or what the hell? - so I'm pretty optimistic.

 

Overall, the show has been pretty hit and miss. We'll see if it gets better...

Hmm...to my knowledge, it isn't, though he was quite awesome as Emcee in Cabaret [bought it on bootleg..w00t. Seriously, 'Wilkommen' alone was worth the $30].
