I shall nominate the new and very much improved Boston Red Sox as the winner if only they could win. I'll go with the Yankees.

Red Sox, Cubs, or the Angels.

Don't know why you put the Twins up there. :|

I had to put someone from every division and an underdog will probably win it all so.....

True. Doubt many people would've thought the Marlins would even reach the playoffs, besides hardcore Marlin fans. So yeah.

I took the Yankees. Until they prove that they can not put themselves in a position to win it all I can't pick against them. By no means do I think they are a heavy favorite or anything though.

In what should come as a surprise to no one, I'm taking the Marlins.

I honestly think the team this year is just as good, if not better than it was last spring training. Don't forget, Urbina and Conine were late season moves. If in contention again, more players will be brought on board.

Now not that I'm saying the A's will win the Worlds Series but the MARINERS are listed and not the A's? Who made this poll, Bill Bavasi?

Holy crap, I missed that.

Shame on you, Kingofthe909. The A's are prohibitive favorites, and in the top 3 in the league. While we're at it, the Phillies should have been included as well.

Angels need bounce back years from Jarrod Washburn and Ramon Ortiz and they need Troy Glaus and Troy Percival to be healthy all year. Angels are much improved and it wouldn't shock me if they won the division but they by no means own the division. The A's starting rotation is still vastly superior to the Angels even with Colon and Escobar.

Screw this logical stuff, I'm going homer all the way.

The Phillies. Improved bullpen, improved starting pitching. Now, if Burrell bounces back, and Rollins realizes he's not a power hitter, the Phils could make some noise.

Yea the M's and the A's both have no shot at making the playoffs this year. Angels OWN that division now, book it.

Oakland can easily win the Wild Card.

You live in Buffalo, how is cheering on the Angels being a homer?

Anyways, barring injuries I have to believe the Red Sox will do it as they upgraded their pitching, bench, and defense without compromising much offensively. Todd Walker will be missed but what he gave in offense Pokey Reese will save in defense...and if he's healthy he can provide some more speed in the line-up. Red Sox also now have one of the nastiest pitching staffs in the league with

Pedro

Schilling

Lowe

Wakefield

Kim

Timlin

Embree

Arroyo

Malaska

Williamson

Foulke

Frigid, is my boy Willy getting the #1 setup spot, or is that yet to be seen?

As of now Williamson is being viewed as Foulke's primary set-up man with Timlin and Embree splitting the 7th inning duties, Arroyo being long relief/spot starter, and Malaska being the lefty specialist.

The Astros???

Try winning a playoff series first.

I think Pettite and Clemens will help with that bit of a problem if they make it to the playoffs, which Im sure they will.

They'll either win the Central or the Wild Card. The only other NL teams that might be in contention for the NL Wild Card are the Phillies and Marlins and they are going to beat the snot out of each other the numerous times they play each other.

NL

West - Giants

Central - Astros/Cubs

East - Braves

Wild Card - Astros/Cubs

AL

West - Angels

Central - Twins or Royals

East - Red Sox

Wild Card - Yankees
