Guest glennsoe Report post Posted February 11, 2004 Who do you think will be the next 3 to get the boot from WWE ?? My guesses are; * Sean O'Haire * Orlando Jordan * Val Venis Who do you guys recon ?? - Glenn -
Guest Fook Report post Posted February 11, 2004 I have a feeling that as soon as WMXX is over, Ultimo will be gone. He's just sticking around to accomplish his dream of wrestling at a WM (which he probably will in that rumoured cruiserweight battle royal). Goldberg will be gone too, but that's because they just won't resign him.
Guest Goodear Report post Posted February 11, 2004 Orlando and Venis are probably fine actually. Orlando is one of those OVW projects who never seem to get cutr regardless of performace. Hell, they didn't even cut Nathan Jones and he's maybe one of the worst wrestlers of all time. Val has probably gotten to that 'WWE lifer' designation that lets him have emplyment for as long as he wants it now like Bradshaw, Gunn, and Holly. When you get to be in the company for as long as Venis has, Vince is really incredibly slow to get rid of him. O'Haire as well as Lance Storm shouldn't be making any long term travel plans or buying new houses.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted February 11, 2004 Lance Storm HAS to be my odds on Favorite... I'm thinking they will keep him long enough that He and Benoit can FINALLY (I believe Storm said they have NEVER wrestled) have a match at a house show in Storm's Hometown, Storm goes over (non-title of course)...and then they quietly cut Storm and he can work a limited schedule in Japan (where he'd be big) and do some ROH work and stuff...He hates the traveling nature of the business and wants to be with his family and is getting old (34 I believe)... Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2004 Jordan was trained by ROCKY JOHNSON~!, so apparently he's bulletproof
Austin3164life 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2004 I'm surprised the WWE does not want to resign Goldberg. I'd assume they would have a feud between he and Brock for a while, not just one match.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted February 11, 2004 Goldberg is WAYYY to costly and has a ego problem and let's face it, aside from a potential Angle with Austin (which would be only meaningful at Mania)...Goldberg has no use. I still believe the whole purpose to signing 'Berg was for Brock to squash him in MSG on the grandest stage of all...I mean Brock/'Berg was "rumored" for Mania almost right away...just like Angle/Brock was when Brock debuted. Storm's kinda limited these days. Not necessarily by "WWE style" but by injuries. He mentions (but doesn't actually complain) about the pain and the injuries he lives through everyday, and I haven't heard of him having a set career goal he wants to achieve. Storm might just stick around to make enough money to retire and until he feels he can't wrestle well enough anymore. Ultimo and Goldberg are probably going to be gone after Mania. 2GOLD 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2004 I'd say Tommy Dreamer might get cut unless Heyman is protecting him, which is entirely possible. Goldberg, Dragon and Stevie will be gone after Wrestlemania. And I bet Nick Dinsmore gets cut sooner than later.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted February 11, 2004 How can heyman protect Dreamer? He has very little influence...and is pretty much just a hired character like Bischoff...
Guest Goodear Report post Posted February 11, 2004 I forgot Bill DeMott even had a job. He'll be gone as soon as he's not hurt. He is hurt right?

Guest Choken One Report post Posted February 11, 2004 I thought he was the new announcer for Velocity?
Highland 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2004 I can see Storm getting cut. He's always said he has no plans to wrestle when he's 40 and he's already 34, so I don't see him being in the ring for too much longer.
Celtic Jobber 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2004 WWE will probably release most of these guys sometime this year: Paul London Nunzio Lance Storm The Cat Bill Demott Al Snow Christopher Nowinski Funaki Ultimo Dragon Stevie Richards Spike Dudley
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted February 11, 2004 Ernest Miller has to be released, or at least negated to Velocity. Preferably the former. What about Jon Heidenreich? I doubt that he'll get over without the aid of a 'blind patriotism' gimmick. There no way that I would let Paul London, Nunzio, Lance Storm, Bill DeMott, Al Snow, Christopher Nowinkski, Funaki, Ultimo Dragon, Steven Richards or Spike Dudley go. All of these men are very good in their respective parts/divisions, and I'd push Storm in the Intercontinental Championship hunt. I think that it is rather obvious what needs to be done with Funaki and Ultimo Dragon. Just as long as he stops taking Table bumps feet-first... The way I see it - if they're dead weight and not getting over no matter what, that warrants a release. Paul London Nunzio Lance Storm The Cat Bill Demott Al Snow Christopher Nowinski Funaki Ultimo Dragon Stevie Richards Spike Dudley All of those guys (except for Miller) can do something entertaining in the ring. Sure, some of them may not be as skilled in different things as others, but all of them have something to offer (except Miller). They should not be released. Not yet, anyway. Guest Coffey Report post Posted February 11, 2004 ...but Bill DeMott retired as a wrestler. That's why he's a commentator now.
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted February 11, 2004 I'll admit that I can't see WWE Velocity, Sunday Night Heat, Confidential or any other WWE programming apart from Raw, SmackDown! and the Pay-Per-Views down here, but I didn't mention Bill DeMott in the ring at all. Sure, some of them may not be as skilled in different things as others, but all of them have something to offer (except Miller). They should not be released. Not yet, anyway. I don't think anyone doubts that most of those guys if given a chance could get over (Al Snow is top of that list for me) but this is the WWE we're talking about here. Entertainment isn't the issue - its look and size that counts 9 times out of 10 and non of these workers outside of Bill have either a look or size that appeals to Vinny Mac which at the end of the day is what really counts. JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2004 My guesses: O'Haire Storm Dreamer Dinsmore Ultimo Funaki Richards Rosey And what about Test? They've pretty much been burying him lately.
Guest glennsoe Report post Posted February 11, 2004 More WWE Releases Likely To Come Posted By Ashish on 02.11.04 Spanky, Gowen, Kanyon, who is next? It appears as if more WWE releases are on the way. Some may be announced as early as this week. No other details are currently available. WWE has released some high profile names in the past few weeks including Brian Kendrick, Zach Gowen, and Chris Kanyon. Credit: 1wrestling.com

Guest hunger4unger Report post Posted February 11, 2004 They didn't release Kendrick, he quit. As for the others, well it's hardly groundbreaking stuff. I could see both coming a mile off. To see who is being released next think: Are they being used on TV? If not, can they bring anything to the table and if not :boom:
Guest Monday Night Jericho Report post Posted February 11, 2004 Storm goes over (non-title of course)...and then they quietly cut Storm and he can work a limited schedule in Japan (where he'd be big) Storm shouldn't go over Benoit, ever, particually if Benoit was champion. And when Storm worked in Japan he wasn't anything outside of a low card junior, I doubt he'd be big at all.

Guest hunger4unger Report post Posted February 11, 2004 Who do you think will be the next 3 to get the boot from WWE ?? My guesses are; * Sean O'Haire * Orlando Jordan * Val Venis Who do you guys recon ?? - Glenn - Not O'Haire as I do see potential in him. He is an okay worker but has a great look. Possibly Jordan. No way Val Venis. He's charasmatic, can cut a very good promo, in good shape and can WORK. He can hang with Benoit, Angle etc. He hasn't been given the time as of yet. Guest Corino 1000 Report post Posted February 11, 2004 My guesses would be Billy Gun, Chuck Palumbo, Ernest Miller, Morgan sent back to OVW or fired, Rikichi, Slvan Greniar, Ultimo, and Goldberg.
