BoboBrazil Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 I've confirmed with several sources that Ernest Miller was informed he was being released at last night's Smackdown taping in Tacoma, Washington. Miller had handled commentary duties on Velocity prior to being moved into the Smackdown roster as a full-time worker. His lone PPV match for the company was at the Royal Rumble last month in Philadelphia. Miller joins Zach Gowen and Chris Kanyon as talent released from WWE within the last week. It is believed one of the reasons so many talents are being released is that several workers from OVW will be brought up to the main roster shortly. pwinsider.com
Guest hunger4unger Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 A pretty strange release as he was working TV and everything.
Youth N Asia Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 *waves goodbye* While I'm not for people being out of work. He was an awful wrestler and very boring on the mic, he added nothing to the shows and I'm glad he's gone.
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 Zach Gowen was released? I'm more upset over Kanyon then the other two.
k thx Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 Poor Lamont. And on the same day he got his story on WWE.com
Downhome Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 Please tell me Lamont wont be Orlando's assistant now.
Youth N Asia Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 I kinda liked the idea of the little guy with the APA...and I don't like the APA
Guest Krazy Karter Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 When he came back for the one-shot as an announcer, it was awesome. But after that, he didn't impress me at all.
Brett Favre Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 Memories. The best memory I have of the Cat in the WWE is when he came out in the royal rumble. You heard nothing, except like a fart.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 Woooo! Wooooo! Woooooooo! Random Poster: Will you stop?!
Youth N Asia Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 Maybe Teddy long will come over from Raw for Lamont and pull a "What the hell does the white man have you doin', Playa? Come on down to Raw and run with me." Then he goes to Raw and pretty much does the exact same gimmick...except he's doing it for Teddy.
Guest Anglesault Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 it is believed one of the reasons so many talents are being released is that several workers from OVW will be brought up to the main roster shortly. Aww crap.
Steviekick Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 it is believed one of the reasons so many talents are being released is that several workers from OVW will be brought up to the main roster shortly. Aww crap. Double crap.
Styles Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 Maybe Teddy long will come over from Raw for Lamont and pull a "What the hell does the white man have you doin', Playa? Come on down to Raw and run with me." Then he goes to Raw and pretty much does the exact same gimmick...except he's doing it for Teddy. So, a manager needs a manager?
Guest Krazy Karter Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 Who are the current OVW prospects? I can't think of anyone now that Mizark is back.
So, a manager needs a manager? I was thinking more of "Man Servent"
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 Who are the current OVW prospects? I can't think of anyone now that Mizark is back. Nick Dinsmore has been in OVW for like 20 yrs (sarcasm of course). Maybe he can finally be called up. Or maybe Nova.
Youth N Asia Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 Nova's touring with RAW right now doing house shows
The Ghost of bps21 Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 Miller can stay away from TNA.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 They didn't call him once in the year before WWE signed him...and they called BUFF FOUR TIMES!
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 I'm sure he could, but he wont. Even TNA isn't that stupid. No one liked Miller....at all. At least the 3MW dude (Ekmo) was somewhat over until the gimmick died out and worked kinda stiff. Miller just flat out sucked.
Downhome Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 They didn't call him once in the year before WWE signed him... But this time, Ernest Miller is a former WWE "superstar". I could see them looking at it like that now, and then bringing him in for a while and have him cut some sort of promo saying how WWE just couldn't handle his greatness, and on and on.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 WHEN WAS KANYON RELEASED? Monday
The Ghost of bps21 Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 Now that Russo's back in TNA I wouldn't be shocked. His life's mission is to prove he can get everyone WWE releases over. Just because it worked ONE TIME with the Truth.
Guest Anglesault Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 Who are the current OVW prospects? I don't know, but apparently they're not as good as Orton or Batista ::shudder::
The Ghost of bps21 Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 Is Nick Dinsmore still in OVW? Isn't he supposed to be good?
Tawren Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 WHEN WAS KANYON RELEASED? Monday And I now just found that thread. Those fuckers.
