My playoff matchup is pure dominance. 33 Ks, 0.93 ERA, 0.86 WHIP. My opponent is winning the walks category by one, but Shawn Estes should take care of that problem for him tonight. In an unprecedented move, I am benching the Big Unit tonight. The only category he can really add on to at this point is strikeouts, and I'm up by 26 in that category.

Next week I've got the Chicago White Sux. I'll need my A-game, but I have a plan. I will pitch ONLY Johan Santana and Randy Johnson. No matter what relievers he throws out there, they can't beat those two.

I haven't had any starters pitch this week. Schmidt, I think, was the only one who's pitched so far, and he's been off lately, so I'm almost afraid to start him. I don't think I'll start Ponson against the Yankees or Leiter against the Phillies, since the downside is too big, but my 5 closers (Foulke, Hoffman, Cordero, Chacon, Speier) have all pitched pretty well so far and have kept my ERA low and picked me up 6 saves so far.

Looks like both the top two teams of the regular season won't be playing for the championship. Not having Scott Rolen at all when i needed him the most definately hurt, with Rolen playing it's not out of the question he could have lifted my OBP by .003, hit an RBI, a triple and two homers, which would have been enough to give me the narrow win, but that's the way things go.

Still, considering i had never even heard of a guy like Scott Rolen before the season started finishing in the top four is pretty good.

Close Championship Series right now.

Rebels of Oakland are only two up on Fear The CHECKLIST~!, 9-7, but each side owns most of hitting and pitching respectively (RoO owning the hitting, FtC owning the pitching). I think this will come down to the wire for these two teams to see who wins it.

I'll end up changing my keepers as well. Mark Teixeira, Alfonso Soriano and Scott Rolen are set, but i'm still deciding between Adrian Beltre and Miguel Cabrera for the final spot, which i'll probably decide on at seasons end. Mark Mulder's recent performances have soured me on him completely, and a strong position player will be more valuable than a closer, even a damn good one like Wagner.

I uh..dont know if I listed any keepers..crap..I cant even find my team..

Edit..I think I had :

Craig Wilson

Phil Nevin

Roy Oswalt

Eric Gagne

but I want to swap Craig Wilson out for Jake Peavy

so my adjusted keepers are

Jake Peavy

Phil Nevin

Roy Oswalt

Eric Gagne

Im clearly putting a premium on good pitching...and keeping Nevin who was my best hitter from last season.

Wow, I'm shamed to say I forgot all about this! I'm proud that I apparently made the playoffs though, go me. Even though I basically abandonned it towards the end last season, I am ready to go again next time. So how does this work? I request 4 players on my team last year to be kept for next year? Is that right?

OK, I would like to keep:

Javy Lopez

Miguel Tejada

Melvin Mora

Eric Chavez

(God I love my O's! And I think I'd just as well blow up my pitching and take a chance in the draft)

Ok, look forward to next year!
