Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 No explanation needed.
dubq Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 This is worthy of a topic? Is this news or just what you want to happen?
Guest Loss Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 No explanation needed. Actually, yes it is. You started the thread; don't leave the work to the rest of us. Explain yourself.
Downhome Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 My God. You see Loss, this is the sort of topic that should be deleted, while also PMing the guy who created it telling them why.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Worthless post in a worthless folder. Lance Storm jumped to RAW from Smackdown. Him jumping back might be good for a week before he jobs to Hoss' R. Us, but otherwise it's the same shit from 2002.
DCMaximo Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Hopes have been raised...hope probably to be dashed. Is Lance going to Smackdown? I'd like to think so, but the negative tone this thread is taking leads me to believe a foul trick has been played on my soul.
Guest Loss Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Storm would be good on Smackdown, but he's already jumped once. Yeah, Benoit has jumped multiple times, but they don't need to do that sort of thing so often. It comes down to the company caring about Storm and his future, not so much which show he's on. That said, he could be valuable on each show. Loss, not deleting unless this post doesn't turn into some type of discussion
RavishingRickRudo Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Speaking of Benoit, it would fit the WWE's M.O. if they moved Storm to Smackdown as they've been making an effort to keep the two away from each other. But the WWE isn't serious about Storm, so they wouldn't give him anything significant to do on Smackdown. Hell, I'd throw him in the crusierweight division in a Couture-esque move. He'd be better off against guys like Rey, Kidman, Knoble, Tajiri, Dragon, London.
DCMaximo Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Honest opinion? I love Lance, but I wouldn't want to see him switch brands unless it served a purpose, like a renewed push. They can't make the brand extention look as pointless as it did during the early days, when anyone could swap sides whenever. The Matt Hardy jump to Raw and the rule that seems to exist of "any injured Smackdown superstar will return on Raw" (see Mark Henry, Maven and possibly Edge) have weakened the boundaries enough without a pointless Lance Storm jump.
Downhome Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Why in the hell can't they just stick Storm on SD, as an active singles wrestler, with Dawn Marie? I would have done so the moment they signed her, they worked very good together in ECW. I'd even... *refrains from saying anymore*
Guest Coffey Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 You know, Lance Storm probably could pass in the Cruiserweight division...if there was such a thing. Lance Storm has yet to do anything in WWE, but he was DEAD after the "boring" shit. The cabbage patch dancing was almost as bad. Then they started some shit with Goldust...only to fire him. Storm can't catch a break. Hell, in ECW he had to team with Justin Credible....
Guest Anglesault Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Who does Storm feud with? Cena?
Downhome Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 I would like to see them book Storm, something along the lines of how ECW and WCW booked him. A fine mix of both, and he could be very over.
Downhome Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Who does Storm feud with? Cena? No, I'd just assume no one feud with Cena.
DCMaximo Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Who does Storm feud with? Cena? Oh God no! Lance may be the whitest man ever and you KNOW the WWE would be unable to turn down the idea of a Lance/Cena rap off.
Downhome Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Haven't they done a Cena/whoever rap off with just about everyone he has faced?
Golgo 13 Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 As someone said, moving Storm would only be good if they, you know, did something with him. Jobbing on Heat isn't a far cry from jobbing on Velocity. And I think they VERY nearly had something with the boring thing, when they had Storm be as boring as possible with the prepared statements and such. I enjoyed it, at least. But then he started cabbage patching all over, to no real result except for a tag win versus Jericho and Christian which was forgotten a week later, and a team later with one of the only people on the Raw roster who's as dead in the water as him.
Guest Loss Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Yeah, I was expecting a Storm v Jericho feud, and they have great chemistry, but it never happened, probably so Jericho could continue his program with ... um ... well ...
RavishingRickRudo Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 I still think they could do the STORMMASTER storyline w/ Hurricane. That would be GOLD.
muzz Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 If they brought back Team Canada, I'd be all for it. I actually didn't mind Lance's somewhat boring mic skills in that role. Just made him even more of a heel.
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 I apologise about now elaborating on it. I received a new Private Message for that. Lance Storm - who else's blood boiled when Austin tagged him "Boring"? Guess what? The gimmick didn't work for him, and they didn't care if it did anyway - they wanted to save their ass on the new match styles. What do you remember about Eddie Guerrero when he was on Raw? I remember him not getting a chance, lost in the furore - that's the way that Raw is. That's just what's happening to Lance Storm. If he made the move to SmackDown!, where decent mid/upper-mid card feuds are actually developed (hell, look at Rhyno/Bob Holly), and had an awesome gimmick slapped on him, then Lance Storm would be done justice.
RavishingRickRudo Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Whattaya mean the gimmick didn't work? I could have sworn there were some people on this board telling people like me to stop bitching, it could be good, wait till it happens. It's quite a burn, being right so often.
Lightning Flik Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 I still think that they should've sticked with Lance's original gimmick of "If I can be serious for a second". I don't care if it was WCW's idea, that had him made over and got legitimate heel heat. Hell it was probably the best gimmick for him.
Guest Goodear Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 They should really just cut the guy. I've only ever seen Lance get over with a super huge push behind him such as the Impact Players (who were beating everyone) and the whole win every belt in WCW deal. Other than that, no one cares about the guy. He's not that great a worker anyway, and I wouldn't miss him at all if he wasn't around now.
haVoc Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Storm hasn't been doing much because he's been hurt. He has three bad disc in his lower back he's trying to milk and work through. So WWE been taking it easy on him. Storm, as others on raw, would be better on SD and vise versa. Which is why I've said there should be some type of draft/trade every year after WM.
