WWE to hold 2 PPV's in June ???

We have learned that the Judgment Day PPV will take place on May 16th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA.

 

We have also been told that WWE's Bad Blood PPV will take place June 13th in Louisville, KY. There is also a plan to have a second PPV on June 27th. This would be the first month they will be running two PPV's, within two weeks apart

Eh...so what? Wrestlemania and Backlash have both been in April before. They'll just have the 2 brands promotions for their pay-per-views overlapping eachother- and there's nothin' wrong with that- makes 'em more individual.

Only because he's in one of two feuds heated enough at the moment to go that far. I guess you could count Kane/Taker but nobody wants to see those two in a cell together.

Neither one of these appeal to me. Sure, HHH vs. Michaels in a cell has ****+ potential, but that feud is played out. Orton vs. Foley in a cell would obviously end with Orton going over. This might possibly give him a little bit more heat, but not a career-maker like HHH vs. Foley. Lightning won't strike twice like that. My guess is Orton would squeak out a win after Foley took some insanely dangerous bump that a man who hasn't wrestled in 4 years doesn't need to take. I really don't see the need to pull out the cell for either of these, or any current WWE feud for that matter. Save it up for something big so it means something. We don't need an HHH vs. Nash repeat.

I really can't see the WWE holding what 20 ppv's a year? Not with the way ratings and what have you have been. It's not like it was back in '97-00. If WWE really plans on doing this they really need to knock down the price about $10 or maybe have some special $20 ppv's kind of like the old In Your House PPV before they went to 3 hours.

The PPVs should be 2 hours and $19.95, and PPV companies should offer a $5 discount if you order both (making it $34.95 and 4 hours a month)

The seperate brand PPVs really struggle to get a full card as it is so I can't see why they can't just cut them back to 2 hours.

Horrible idea. Bad enough that people are willing to waste money on "Badd Blood" but now they're adding another ppv in June? And what of Vengeance? They really hate Smackdown that much.

Looking at the WWE's usual buyrates less and less people are buying one PPV a month, who exactly is going to be buying two? And it's not like they're PPV's anyone gives a damn about like Mania, Summerslam or the Rumble, they'll be the brand-specific ones no-one buys in the first place.

 

I really don't see this working well, most people will just purchase the better looking card leaving the other one to flop badly.

Smackdown! bores the ever loving shit out of me, so it looks like there will just be more RAW PPV's to buy this year round.

 

I think it's a great move, as someone up there said previously - it gives each brand even more individual qualities.

Like Raw is lightyears better. I'd rather watch a show with few plotlines and more wrestling, rather than "Raw is KLIQ".

They need fewer ppvs...they don't have near enough time to book feuds properly. Eddie vs Brock was so rushed, and should have been much better.

Adding more PPVs only reduces the percentage of shows purchased. Fans will now be more likely to say "Well, this card sucks. Let's see what next week's PPV has." Then that will suck too...

It might just be the way the dates have come round or that they are testing the market to see if two PPV's per month would work. The plan all along was to get to a situation where they could run a PPV each month from each seperate brand.

After Wrestlemania 20, they boast the PPV price by 5 dollars and hold two the next month. Then when that fail, they blame Eddie and Benoit for being poor draws and give the belts back to Brock and HHH in time for the one PPV a month formula.
