Michrome 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2004 As it turns out, the whole shows ARE in full on these first ones, except for 2 embarrasing matches being cut out.

Nevermortal 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2004 I love ROH. I think I'll pick them up; are they cheap?
Guest dwdw_IGN Report post Posted February 22, 2004 So is this ROH video the one you are talking about. Cause if it is I am getting this bad boy! http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detai...&s=dvd&n=507846
Michrome 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2004 Yes, that's it. Some places are selling for 9.99, but Ive heard of it going for 6.99 elsewhere.
JustJoe2k5 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2004 On Locker Room Scoops, RoH said the first DVD would be a 50-Minute version of Era of Honor Begins, that cannot be the entire show.
Guest TDinDC1112 Report post Posted February 22, 2004 Michrome - how is this so? Everything we've read everywhere says the first few are 50 minute clip jobs. Are the whole shows extras or something on the DVD?
Michrome 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2004 Obviously there was misinformation. Everyone who has bought it has said that it's the whole show, minus two matches, and about 2 hours long. I trust them over LRS
Chunk 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2004 Sweet! I think ill pick them up when Im on holiday.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2004 Is there a list of stores available or is this only mail order?
Michrome 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2004 Some Sam Goodies, Best Buys, FYEs have the first one now. Some don't. If you go in and ask them to order it for you, they will.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2004 I'm afraid my local FYE won't have it since I have yet to see the Monday Night Wars DVD for sale yet. I'll check again on Tuesday.
Guest Real F'n Show Report post Posted February 22, 2004 I saw it today at Sam Goody for $9.99. Didn't pick it up because I have it already, and I figured it would be clipped. I'll probably start buying them when some shows that I don't have are released, or better yet, a Best of ROH, that would kick ass. Anyways, when are the CZW shows scheduled to be released? The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2004 Meida Plays carry the DVDs from takedown masters in force. If you have a Media Play head there.
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2004 BTW I just picked up the first one for 9 bucks. *does happy dance* Also...the two matches they cut out were Prince Nana vs. Towel Boy and Natural Born Sinners vs. Boogie Nights.
Guest Jimbo Report post Posted February 23, 2004 So...are they clipped or full or what?

Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2004 Hey... Does anyone know where a Canadian can pick up this DVD?
Guest ToddRoyal Report post Posted February 23, 2004 The two matches cut were by far the worst matches on the show. Prince Nana Vs. Towel Boy was a short, horrible squash. Nana is pretty bad so cutting ALL Nana matches is a good plan in my opinion. Natural Born Sinners Vs. Boogie Knights is a pretty stupid comedy match. The Sinners are Homicide and Bougaloo and the Knights are NYC low card guys Mike Tobin and Danny Drake. The only reason I'm shocked they cut this match is it's the start of the Carnage Crew storyline and that story wont make much sense without that match. Guest Dynamite Kido Report post Posted February 24, 2004 Just picked this one up yesterday. Can't wait to watch it, considering I've never seen the first show. *Doing happy dance because I didn't have to order it off RFVideo.com
Jebus 0 Report post Posted February 24, 2004 Hey... Does anyone know where a Canadian can pick up this DVD? amazon.ca Should be there just days after the Canadian release date... March 2: ROH - Era of Honor March 9: Round of Honor - The Round Robbin that's all I found for now
Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted February 24, 2004 Bah. People seriously overstate how bad Nana is. He's perfectly fine, IMO, it's just that he's nowhere near the level of most of the RoH people. Plus, his promos are great. I totally agree with getting rid of Nana/Towel Boy, though, if it were me, I'd get rid of the Hit Squad/Christopher Street Connection crap. They should have just heavily clipped NBS/Boogie Knights, though, so that you could still see the ending that kicks off the Carnage Crew angle.

How readily availabel are they? Baring in mind I wouldnt be able to get them to order it for me, do you think i would be able to get hold of them if I tried 3 or 4 different places? Guest Banders Kennany Report post Posted February 25, 2004 So why are ROH licensing these (I've never heard of Takedown Masters, so I assume they're an outside company) when they're still selling the old in-house DVDs on their website? Competing against yourself is madness in my little opinion.
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2004 I think it was the right time for RoH to do this. With the old shows anyway. Anyone who was going to buy the old shows from rfvideo...would have done it by now (or just did with the sale they had).
Michrome 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2004 For the new ones, once this whole thing gets rolling, I'm told they will remain exclusive to RFV for 3 months for us hardcore fans, and then go to the stores.

Competing against yourself is madness in my little opinion. Because it gets their name out there. They aren't competing with themselves as much as they are advertising. Plus when watching this DVD, they pimp RFVideo.com and their phone number several times during the show, so if you like the product you can order it through them.
